From the outside looking in, Rob is every woman’s dream guy. He has a grown man swag, very charismatic and hard to resist. He knows how to satisfy a lady, while seducing everything about her, including her soul. However, there’s a dark side that he can only tame for so long before it surfaces.
Karsyn is an educated, beautiful, hard-working woman that finds herself attracted to the bad boy. Overlooking his drama filled circumstances, she decides to give love a try. Unfortunately for her, by the time his true colors show, she’s in too deep.
With the help of her best friend Ayesha and her brother Marcos by her side, will Karsyn be able to escape Rob’s wrath? Or, will she find herself stuck in a situation that even a restraining order can’t save her from?
Restraining Order: A Standalone Novel, A Domestic Violence Story by Loryn London is a emotional and heartbreaking story. This is my first time reading from Loryn. She does a good job. There are some errors in this book but it was phenomenal page.
Rob is not my favorite character in this book. He is lunatic and unstoppable. He needs to get some help. I understand that what Regina and Syn are going through because they couldn’t find their happiness and unconditional love by Rob. I’m happy that Regina and Syn are ready to move on with other men but Rob couldn’t handle their happiness and move on with other men. Also, Regina needs to dealing with Avery because he’s the same situation as Rob.
Domestic violence is a disease. Women and men need to keep their hands to themselves and stop throwing their anger toward others.

This is my first reading of this author's work and I'm impressed with the overall message of the story. I did grow frustrated with some of the writing and grammatical errors but stuck with it because the story was so engaging. I was a bit confused as Rob laid hands on Karsyn twice but the story picked up in the aftermath of those scenes to read like he'd never abused her at all. Let's not forget that Rob choked Karsyn out in the beginning of the story and slapped her in New Orleans before he left her in the hotel alone. Why this section of the story was not fully explored is baffling but I enjoyed the warnings against staying with an abusive mate nonetheless. This message and the story delivery were both very good and I look forward to more solid readings from this author in the future.
I'm not a big fan of domestic violence stories but Loryn Landon did a great job with this story. Rob was a straight up coward. How do he claim to love these women when he beats the brakes off them with no remorse. Now I can kinda understand him snapping when he caught Avery and Regina. That was his best friend and the woman he'd been with for years. He still didn't have to kill her tho. Now Karsyn didn't deserve her fate. How could she answer the questions he was asking when she was scared out her mind and had a gun pointed at her. I wish she would have left after he choked her the first time. Sadly this is very real in today's world and woman and men are losing their lives to domestic violence.💓💓
Syn lying about him hitting her and taking him back. Only for him to repeat shit. If he kept going back to Regina you knowing that they've been doing this for years. 10 times outta10 he wasn't ever leaving her. She continued to make excuses about why he was physical with Regina as well. Talking about I really do love him. That's some bullshit. She made her bed and damn sho had to lay in it. Not saying it was right for him to kill her but dammit - when she walked away. She should've kept walking. It'll only take ☝🏾time for my mate to hit me. If I'm not smiling in my mugshot for killing them. I'm out and never to return. Cause if they hit you once they'll do it again..
This was a good read, was well paced and kept my attention. I felt like I got to know each character in the story. I loved the bonds between Syn and Marcos and Syn and Ayesha!!! The ending was tear jerking it was a mixed emotion ending. There were some grammatical errors but the storyline made me look past them. All in all I would recommend this book. Big up for the E- Town and Skokie landmarks!!!!
I would have given this a higher rating of the editing were better. Halfway through I almost stopped, then decided to give it a chance. My reward? Character mix up, incorrect wording, missing words, etc. Such a waste! There have been quite a few books like this and it's frustrating! Think I'll just shy away from this type of urban literature. To the author..fire your editor.
I just finished your book. I really enjoyed your book. It was hard for me to put it down being that I had to get up in the morning for work. However I was so upset and sad that poor Karsyn got killed. And even Regina. Even though she was messy she didn't Deserve to die like that. I'm happy for Marcos and Ayesha, they deserve their happy ever after. And I'm glad that Kray found love again...
I don't even know where to start. I wasn't too happy with Karson at first but I grew to empathize with her. All these characters were engaging and the pacing was perfect. It kept me so engaged that I read this in 2 days! SPOILER the ending was was so upsetting and I never saw it coming! I almost was in tears but that's how it is when the killing is senseless. Can't wait to read this authors other books
That coward of a man Rob is what you call inhuman for what he did So glad Marcos and Ayesha got they happily ever after with getting pregnant Karysn life got cut short all because she moved on with Kray As for Avery and Regina that little affair should’ve never started to begin with
I enjoyed this book. The ending is sort of a tear jerker, but still, it's an awesome read. Rob was a monster, plain and simple. Poor Regina was just a fool in love and Karsyn just got caught up... I definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to reading more work from this Author!
Rob was a buster he didn't have to kill Karsyn, but that's what happens in an abusive relationship it's very sad that he couldn't let her or Regina get on with their lives. This was a very heartfelt read, but this tragedy bought Marcos, Ayesha & Kray closer.
This was an amazing book. It was hard for me because it was triggering but I solidered through it and I'm happy I did. I'm so hurt that so many people had to lose their live. I'm happy for best friend and brother.
This was a really good book. I hate that Karsyn went out like that because of Ron being a punk. I’m glad that Marcos and Ayesha got their happy ending. My first time reading anything from this author but definitely not my last!
I love the book. Loryn i will be reading of your books. Robert was a sad piece of work. Domestic isnt good for no one. It really breaks my heart reading these books. I love to read!
This was actually a great book! I gave it four stars because there were a lot of grammatical errors and the timelines were off. Other than that, this book is a GREAT read!!!
I loved this story from the beginning to the end. I hate how it all ended though. I hated the love that Regina or Karsyn had for Rob. Rob was definitely a womanizer and that’s how he saw his father treat his mother. Unfortunately nothing came good of this situation.
I enjoyed reading this book. I shed a tear at the ending. I was confused how Avery was so different for Regina but not his own girl. I think he needed some flaws I. His relationship with her too. Over all good book.
I understand you are a new writer, but I think you really need a dog gone new editor. You can definitely write a good story and that I s why I have read two of your stories so far. Keep up the good work because I can see the greatness in your ability to write a phenomenal book.
Overall the book is a very good read. I chose the 4-star rating because a lot of words were missing so u had to reread a sentence or two to make sure u understood what was being said.
Although sad , this needs to be addressed. Far too many women think they can change an abusive man. I highly recommend this book to everyone who reads.
They'll hit you again. A story of three women, two in love with the same man, but all experiencing an abusive relationship. A definite cautionary tale.
A GREAT BOOK ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THAT EVERYONE SHOULD READ. IT SHOWS THE THE REALITY OF WHAT IT DOES TO A ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS! HEART TOUCHING
