A light BDSM story about a Chief surgeon and an Junior doctor, who met the night before Alexa started at the hospital! Their relationship is a secret otherwise both would suffer consequences.
Alexa wants a master/slave relationship, but Daniel says she isn’t ready, so she puts herself up in an auction at the Club they both attend! There are two option to Daniel that she is aware of, he bids on her and punishes her or he walks away and what they do have is over! Does she get the M/s relationship she is after or does Daniel walk away!
A book about two people, who really just want the same thing, but go about it in different ways. I really enjoyed this story.

The Ties That Bind is a brand new four-book series of novellas from Ellie Masters. It is light BDSM featuring four very lucky submissives and their Masters. The Series kicks off with Alexa and Master Daniel. They have a chemistry that sizzles and never fades, a working relationship, and a very up-close-and-personal relationship. By the time they knew they were forbidden, it was too late. They were both already in too deep to step away.
I loved the auction storyline and the return to a BDSM club was intoxicating. Master Daniel knows what he is doing. He has masterful hands, masterful fingers, and knows all of Alexa’s sensitive spots. Daniel shows Alexa that he not only craves and loves her, he respects her far too much to let her give away all the control. I love how he shows her they can have it all and she doesn’t have to give up a thing, except when he says so. Their scenes had me writhing in my chair, so if that’s what you’re hoping for in a quick read, grab Alexa now.

In Alexa: The Ties That Bind (Auction Night ~ Book 1 Alexa, an intern and the chief of surgery meet before she starts at the hospital and he becomes her boss. They enjoy a hot kinky sexual relationship that is secret and separate from their work. Alexa wants to take the relationship to the next level and at the annual auction at their BDSM club she challenges him although he doesn't think she is ready to be the total submissive that he wants. Both are consenting adults, they communicate well and he is exceptionally kind and takes excellent care of Alexa with a compromise that gives them both a taste of what they want.

Alexa and Daniel are both Doctors and they are having an affair that could destroy both of their careers. She decides to take things further and put herself up for auction at an annual charity. This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and is very hot. I was hooked from beginning to end on this fast-paced and steamy read! I loved it!

It is nicely written, although chapter eleven is confusing – I was as confused as Alexa claimed to be! The plot is simple but fine for the length. The characters are somewhat defined, but the length is limiting. Alexa's character is lacking, but it helps tremendously that the story is from her POV. Both Daniel and Alexa are very lovable. I rate this book four stars.

Meet Dr. Alexandria Black a surgical intern who has a way to go with her residency and is eager to learn all she can, now she is being trained by the head surgeon of the hospital, sexy dominant Dr. Daniel Greyson. Now we find that Alexa is in a relationship with Dr. Daniel Greyson who just so happens to be her Dom. Alexa and Daniel have to be cautious keeping their affair a secret from the hospital staff while working together each day but her Dom has ways of getting to Alexa just by his words and actions. What transpires between these two is a poignant, steamy and erotic journey. This story is well written as you witness the relationship between these two who are well matched in the lifestyle as Dom/Submissive. But Alexa is yearning for a different dynamic and has other ideas, she wants a Master/Slave relationship or so she thinks. Daniel is reluctent in her request, as he knows she has no idea what this truly means for her to give up control completely to another person 24/7. Alexa now decides to force Daniel's hand to bid for her as his Slave at The Ties that Binds auction but the tables will be turned as she will soon realize that nothing gets past her Dom as he is well aware what she is doing. What transpires next will blow you away, now Daniel will show her what it means to give up control and what she will have to give up. His wants this just as much as she does, but he wants her to know that her career means more to him. This was a fast paced highly charged erotic story into the lifestyle of BDSM. Can't wait for the next book to come out. Ellie Masters continues to excite her readers with this genre as only she can.

Alexa is a resident and working under one of the best surgeons. He’s training her hard at hospital and playing with her harder at home. Alexa met Daniel at The Ties That Bind a few months ago. They shared an amazing night together and then when she started her residency, discovered that her Dom was also the Chief of Surgery at the hospital where she was just starting her residency. Fraternisation is a sackable offence for them both, but their connection as a couple, especially when in their Dominant/submissive roles, is just too good to give up. So they’ve been keeping their relationship secret. But Alexa wants to take their relationship to the ultimate level of Master/slave and she knows just how to go about it. The Ties That Bind are about to hold their annual charity auction where a submissive can offer themselves to their Dom’s for their reserve price, if they bid on them, for agreed periods of time. But will Daniel bid on her or will she be left in the dark, humiliated on the stage? This is an enjoyable and creative read with interesting characters that cleverly overlap within a series of books, so you learn more about their stories that are touched upon in the other books. Alexa and Daniel are both likeable characters that have an intense relationship. Brilliant.

This author is a multifaceted writer. She can go from Rock Star romance to human trafficking to art thieves to sweet instalove to home on the range romance and then circle back around to write works of D/s and M/s. It's like her knowledge knows no limits.
This is an interesting story of D/s and M/s. This is a world I have no personal knowledge or interest in trying, but love to read all the words of this word master. I like to image how the authors mind works more than I like to picture myself inside this particular genre. It's like trying to put together an interesting puzzle. I like to look from the outside in and try to figure out why this lifestyle is appealing. This writer's words alway have the ability to take me into worlds and let me experience things without having to actually be there.
So if you want to read a fantastic writer, delve into a new world or maybe become acquainted with characters in a world you already know and love then grab a glass of wine and read all the words.

Ellie Masters’s books are never tedious, and this new series is no exception to that. I think the strongest takeaway from this story is the potential that a D/s or M/s relationship has for good, to ensure that both parties are the best that they can be. The blurb has the basics, but, to recap, Alexa is a first-year intern; Daniel is Chief of Surgery – and her Dom. The surgical scene is awe-inspiring and an incredible metaphor for how Daniel and Alexa’s relationship could be. The safe, sane, consensual aspect is not only emphasized in this book; it is reiterated and confirmed at each point, even at dubcon times. I absolutely fell for Daniel; the book could have been twice as long, and I’d have been happy! These are characters that are real from the start and that keep developing and showing new facets. I eagerly anticipate the next auction story.

Ellie Masters is at her best with powerful, dominant male characters. From the Davenport brothers to Xavier, she never fails to create a strong but never cruel hero. This book has to do with her BDSM storylines, which for me, who knows nothing about this, it's eye-opening and a window into caring relationships that are not really out in the open. So it's a bit educational. But the story is the heart, and Ellie does a fantastic job telling a story. Alexa is driven and likable. But like a lot of us, her work persona is just one side of her personality, much like a coin with two faces. Daniel is the one who sees the flip side of that coin. The story of their relationship unfolds at an auction at The Ties That Bind a private BDSM club. Fans of Ellie's work will see more stories in the future from this location, and that is an excellent thing. I highly recommend this book for several reasons, compelling characters who you want to meet, smart dialogue, and just a heck of a love story that leaves you smiling at the end. Give this steamy story of two intense people who are finding their real relationship a read; you will not regret it.

Alexandria was living her dream by becoming a doctor. The long hours, tedious/menial tasks, of a surgical intern, thrilled and terrified her. Alexa: The Ties That Bind is the first book in Ellie Masters’ new Auction Night series. This book features Dr. Daniel Greyson, chief surgeon and mentor to surgical residents, and Dr. Alexandria (Alexa) Black, surgical resident. Daniel and Alexa meet at a club prior to discovering who they were in real life, but even though their relationship should be stopped due to professional ethics they agree to secretly continue. Alexa finds she wants more from their relationship and wants to move to the next level even though Daniel does not think she’s ready for a true submissive relationship. I recommend this quick read novel which has strong independent characters and a plot with a few unexpected twists, and a steamy BDSM romance.

Our heroine is ready to take the relationship to the next level, but our hero is not sure that is a good idea. So she does what any good sub would do: force the issue. How will that work out?
This is the first book in a new series featuring D/S. The story is very well written and easy to read with a couple of well developed and very likable characters. I also like the premise of the auction night as it provides an excellent mechanism to move the story along. Our characters have great chemistry together, but they are also pushing limits as he is her boss, so will things work out? Guess you will have to read to find out.

This is a one sit down read and it starts out hot and fast. Alexa is a resident and Daniel is an older established well renowned surgeon. During the day they are teacher and student, but at night, she is a school girl and he’s the headmaster. The scenes are hot and steamy and even though the story only takes place over a one day period, you as the reader can imagine how the rest of the year will be going moving forward. There are many other stories that take place at the Ties that Bind Club and it's a perfect fit for this series of stories. I do recommend this book, this author. I’ve read other stories by this author and I highly recommend any of those books as well.

This is book one in the Action Night series. This story involves two doctors crossing the professional line and risking their careers to enjoy each others company. Their private time is escalating as well but will it tear them apart? Alexa's chance to prove herself comes in the form of an action where it will be a test of her limits and a controlled time frame which she does not have control over. I look forward to more stories in this series with the other ladies participating in the auction. A great story with some great characters that is sure to make you squirm. You decide if its good or bad. Enjoy!

Ellie Masters has done it again. She has delivered a new series that gives us a club and a group of characters centered around their BDSM relationships. But really this book, and I am guessing the series as a whole, is so much more. The character development and depth of emotions they go through is so wonderful for this very quick read. As a reader you are able to feel the love and pain Alexa is going through, conveyed by the masterful words given to us by Ms. Masters. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series centered around the auction night at the club.
