“My fingers were definitely working on behalf of my cock that unfortunately couldn’t be here to accept this award tonight.”
“I wanted to ride him more than I wanted to take my next breath. And this from a woman who’d always preferred the missionary position.”

“I finally realized that I was more afraid of losing you than I was of finding you.”

"It's bad enough you're already..." He grinned."...the butt of the joke. You don't need me to poke fun.""You're an ass, you know that?""I'd rather be one than have a fish hook in one."

“You hooked me from the very beginning

Dear Bridget,
I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.
So, here goes.
We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.
But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
I want you.
The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.
So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.
No questions asked.
Think about it.
Or don’t.
Whatever you choose.
It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.
―Simon
“This is just as much a shock to me as it is to you.”
“Then how did you recognize me so fast? I wasn’t even facing you.”
“You were down on the ground with your buttocks in the air. I would recognize that are anywhere.”
Utter embarrassment consumed me. “Oh, really…”
“Your derriere precedes you, luv.”
“What made you decide to become a doctor?”
He kept steeping his tea and staring into his cup until he looked up at me and said, “I have an unhealthy and incessant need to save people, I guess.”
That was sort of an odd answer.
“You wanted to be like a real-life superhero?”
“I’m just messing with you, luv, relax. I like watching your cheeks change color when you’re embarrassed.” I winked. “Both cheeks.”
She shook her head. “I think we need to set some ground rules.”
I sipped my tea. “Alright. I like rules. Without them, breaking them isn’t nearly as much fun.”
“Talk to me, Bridget. What’s going on in that head of yours?”
“I’m scared.” I finally manage to croak out.
“That makes two of us. I’m fucking terrified.”
“What if it doesn’t work out, Simon?”
“What if it does?”
“What if you’re miserable here in the States and go back home in a few months?”
“What if I stay forever and we’re happy?”
“He’s going to fall in love with you, Simon. Are you going to be able to return it? Can you really love someone else’s son?”
I told her the absolute truth. “I already do.”

I wanted to be back at home with Bridget in the worst way. Back at home with Bridget. What the fuck? It wasn’t my home. My home was in England.
It shouldn’t have happened, and yet I couldn’t turn my body off tonight, couldn’t stop thinking about him.

I want you. Wrong as it may be… more specifically, I want to make you come. Hard.

“Dear Bridget…
…What they say about wanting what you can’t have is apparently true. For some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.”

“The sexy, blond, god of a doctor whom I'd masterbated to for weeks after the fish hook incident...was now my roommate.”
“More than the tip is in your arse, and it looks like it's got a long shaft.”
“I finally realized that I was more afraid of losing you than I was of finding you.”It wasn’t easy for them to find their groove, after all they had very different goals but as some wise person once said “sometimes on the way to the dream you get lost and find a better one.” And I certainly loved the journey these two characters embarked on.
"Love makes you stronger, not weaker.”
The expression on my face must have looked like a mixture of terror and amusement. At least, that was how I felt. “Simon…”
“Come on. I promise. I’ll be serious. We can have Storytime with Simon. Sit back with your wine and I’ll read to you.”
Oh my God. He was serious.
“It’s true that the greatest risk may be not taking one. But a risk is taking a chance when you have the potential to gain or lose something in the future. When that future is certain that you’re going to lose that something—it’s not taking a risk, Simon. It’s jumping out of a plane without a parachute and expecting to land on your feet anyway.”
“Number four—must dislike Celine Dion.” I looked up at him. “What’s wrong with Celine?”
“She annoys me.”
“Her singing?”
“Nope. Just her, in general.”
