Complete Series of the Infinity Chronicles Books 1-4 With Bonus POV's from each guy.
Book 1 New town, new school. Same story. I’m Laura, I’ve spent most of my life crisscrossing the county yielding to the whims of my transient mother. We’ve never stayed in one place long enough to call it home, and I don’t have any hope of that changing. I follow the rules; no drawing attention to myself, no friends, and especially no boys. But my mom’s been keeping secrets, secrets so profound they threaten to turn my world upside down. I’ve always assumed her paranoia was a symptom of a mental illness, but as her secrets begin to unravel, I realize nothing is what it seems. As my life careens out of control a group of guys from school promise to give me answers about who I really am. I’m afraid of what I might learn, but more afraid of what I could be giving up if I don’t listen.
Albany lives in Michigan where she's happily married to her high school sweetheart. She spends most of her time juggling her four children's extracurricular activities, with her nose stuck in a book. When not reading you can find her writing her very own book boyfriends. Albany's passion is writing romance with real characters that are far from perfect, but always seem to find their own happily ever afters.
Have you seen that review about Pride and Prejudice? Where the reviewer says it was just a bunch of people going to each other's houses? Well this book was just a bunch of people eating. I swear that is all this group did! Every time the guys were going to explain what was going on they stopped and made Laura eat and then didn't tell her anything. Yet acted like they couldn't explain because she was making it difficult. This went on for almost the entirety of the first book - well other than the long drawn out beginning of Laura walking around the school trying to be invisible.
The next books didn't get much better and the longer it went on where we were barely getting any hints of what was even happening just worked to annoy me more and more. There really wasn't any big plot point that kept the story going because the one big thing that happened, Laura's mom going missing, was barely focused on. Laura had moments where she seemed worried for her mom and wanting answers but then she'd go on and worry about moving into a house and it was like that was all forgotten. It felt like that entire storyline happened more in the background.
I would typically review each book in this series individually but I don't even have the energy for that when it comes to this story. I think this was a really interesting idea and the plot had a lot of potential but it didn't work out for me. I honestly don't even know why or how I made it through 4 books but I was determined to see it to the end to get some answers. Which all came out very fast and made the ending very lackluster.
Slow burn RH paranormal, which I loved. A bit wordy at times. There were MANY unnecessary scenes. So many redundant conversations in the second half of the book. The first half of the box set was SO good though!! WHAT HAPPENED????? We did not need to to read about every excursion. Too many idle conversations about everything. There were so many things that could have been explored.
Milo and Ollie were more interested in each other than in Laura. Milo and Ollie loved each other. Adding Laura into their M/M mix felt forced. The story should have been Laura, Dante, and Ares. Actually, I just loved Ares.
There are POVs from each character at the end of the book. Reading Milo's and Ollie's felt awkward.
This box set started out VERY strong, but then at 50% or so it started to just to drag. In the end, the plot felt unfinished. The execution was weak in the second half of the box set. We never saw the characters at their full potential. We were told how powerful Ares was, but we never read any scenes.
Unlike other readers I did not mind the Mia drama.
The first 50% of the book, I give a high 4 stars. The last 50% I give a low 2 stars.
I love this series. There is great character interaction and development. The story is engaging from word one. This is one of my go to series that I read when I find myself in a book slump. The author has a way of drawing you in and not letting go.
Ugh! I had high hopes for this series, but it fell flat throughout. Here’s a quick recap and my two cents.
Quick recap:
When a supernatural turns 16, they’re given a marking that signifies who will be in their infinity (who will be their mates). Dante, Ares, Ollie, and Milo are now 17, 18, and 23, but have yet to find the final member to complete their Infinity. Their Synergist.
Laura has grown up moving around the country because her mom is scared someone is after them. They’ve wound up in Canton, where the boys live, but she has no knowledge of Infinities or being a synergist. But when she meets the boys, she knows something is different.
My two cents:
It took so long to get to the final scene in the final book, but only 2 seconds to read it. I was hoping for more of a climax. It deserved more. Plus, it was at about 90% through the book. The last 10% was unneeded fluff and sex.
Plus, there were several things that felt unresolved or just didn’t make sense. Maggie’s prediction about being leery of the one who knows never made sense to me. Why did Wyatt tell Laura to run? Why was it so easy for Leon to be killed? Why didn’t Laura ever notice the mark on the back of her leg? Didn’t anyone ever mention it to her? We all take swimming in school.
I read a lot of fantasy books that give really good descriptions of different powers and such, but this felt lacking. What all can a shadow walker really do? What can a mimic do? Why does Laura have the powers of all the boys plus the sparking ability?
There are several sex scenes, but most don’t happen until the final book or two. Until then, there’s a bunch of pg-13 stuff. It’s all good.
This book needs a really good editor. There are a lot of grammar errors and I felt lost several times trying to figure out who was talking, how people are laying/standing, and even who is in a scene. Maybe they could even work on adding a few more climaxes to the book.
I really wanted to love this series. It was interesting and good at times. But I struggled with the editing and lack of climaxes. Book 4 shouldn’t be the only climax in the whole series. I would skip this series. There are a lot better out there. Happy reading y’all!
Got bored several times while reading it because it seemed like all of the non-plot scenes were pointless. Necessary because it shows their developing relationship, but for all of the domestic scenes that there were, they were lopsided.
Ares and Dante get the most development. Ares because he waited the longest for her, is the oldest and obviously the author’s favorite character. Dante second, poor Milo third and whatshisface fourth. I just finished the series and I honestly cannot remember his name. She gave him little to no attention, his and Milo’s relationship was only ever hinted at and he was a serious jokester. That’s it. I alternately felt bad for him and wondered why she didn’t cut him since he serves no purpose beyond giving Milo someone to be with because she was so hung up on Dante and Ares.
The fact that she tops Dante and it’s not done in a sleazy or fetishistic way? The only real draw this series has for me.
It was OKAY and I finished the series instead if quitting after a couple of books, so that’s something.

Firstly, I really do like this author and have read most of her books. This series is the least favorite series I have read from her and one of my all time least favorite sets in general. It took me a lot longer to finish them than other series and I really had to push myself to finally finish.
There is a story buried somewhere in all of the monotonous details of the characters day to day life but it’s very minimal and nothing unique or earth shttering. The main character is a young girl who lives a hard life because of a seemingly crazy mother and absent father. She finds her 4 dated mates when she attends a new high school and they end up bonding with each other. Her mates have special powers and as their “Infinity”, she acquires each of their powers and is a very powerful supernatural being. Of course they have to teach her how to use her powers. She ends up finding her real father, who has been kidnapped and tortured and it’s revealed that her mom isn’t really crazy. There is the bad guy who is the one who kidnapped and tortured her father and she kills him at the end. This is essentially a summary of the whole set.
What did I leave out? The mundane drivel that makes me want to stab a screwdriver into my eye. And there is absolutely no reason for all of it. It doesn’t contribute or add to the books in any way. This is an example of how monotonous the writing is in these books (this is not an excerpt from her writing). “I walked over to the counter and laid my hand onto the spoon. Picking it up, I slowly stirred my tea. It had a nice aroma. When my mouth touched the cup, it was warm. I looked at the small flowers on the cup and then to the spoon. I dropped the spoon into the sink and could hear the clink of metal against metal. It reminded me of the sound the keys made when I dropped them on the floor this morning. After I finished my tea, I licked my lips and the rough surface reminded me that I should use my chapstick. I rubbed my pocket, feeling the outline of the chapstick. My fingers dig deep into my front, right pocket to retrieve the cherry lip balm. After I popped the cap off, I smoothed a thin layer onto my upper and then lower lip”
If this sounds interesting to you, then by all means indulge yourself. It’s clear that Ms. Walker’s writing has evolved from this series and I for one am thankful.

Let me preface this review by saying I enjoyed this series. I had put it off but saw an ad on social media with an excerpt of a few paragraphs and knew I had to read it. I’m a huge fan of PNR where the characters are a bit different. So the first book was chefs kiss good! The character and world building really drew me in. The writing was good, descriptive, and believable. After book one is where the plot holes seem to pop up. Things that were throw in that seemed important but were never resolved by the end of the series. I had prepared bullet points of all the issues I found with the series, but ran out of room. I would say read this book with the understanding that some of it will never make sense, and there will be more questions than answers at the end. Also it’s very anticlimactic. And as it goes on the characters become really two dimensional.
It seems like the author was all in for the first maybe second book then after that she just gave up. And the proofreader is listed in the title pages, and she needs to really pay closer attention the first 2 books were very well written, the second 2 were seriously lacking editing. Grammar mistakes, sentences were cut in half and moved to a new paragraph, one minute someone is standing by a wall the next minute they are on a bed. You just got to go with it.
Albany's writing style always hooks me from the first sentence. I love this story and the characters. If you're looking for a sweet romance story, some sexy scenes and character building, then this is your book. Even the main plot that keeps the story moving isn't too dark or too dramatic. I typically read darker and more intense books, so I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. But this series isn't about that. Its truly about the growth and development of a group of 5 people, destined to be in a relationship and its beautiful. Now, the reason for it being four and not five stars. The typos. I'm not finicky or overly irritated by errors and can usually overlook them. This whole series had so many errors that I caught myself rereading portions of the book to make sure I read it right. It happened enough to detract from the book, hense the four stars. I still think it's a beautiful story and if you want a good romance, dont let the errors dissuade you from reading this sweet romance.
While I tried to write an individual review for each book. I read them all as one. Overall, I did like the series- except nothing really ever happened. The first book was a good introduction, the second book was about creating their individual & infinity bonds. The third book was completely useless, the the conclusion was to easy. Right up until the last page I kept waiting for the baddie to return because it all seemed just to easy! Side note- he did not return. I think the books biggest downfall was just the unused potential. Like if you read a crap book, well then you just have a bad or mediocre author. However, if you read a good book that’s lacking it’s more disappointing because you KNOW it could have been better. Look I don’t even particularly like more action intense books. I rather focus on the romance, but even I was bored.

Why was there half a chapter dedicated to the description of a mexican food restaurant? When nothing eventful happened there? Why did i need to know everyone's order at every establishment they went to. I kept reading to figure out what would happen. Not much of anything as it turns out. There was a section where the main character thinks of how things have changed, when asked, COPY AND PASTE. This series had so much potential but for all of the scene setting, nothing happens. Even the one showdown with the big bad was over in a paragraph and not talked about again. What was Leon's research? What was Amanda's ability? How powerful is Ares anyway? Can Laura shift? I read all 4 and have no idea.
I liked this series except for the MM. I don’t like MM in the RH’s I read. I felt like Milo and Ollie were more into each other then her and they were destined and connected to her. I felt like Ares and Dante were obsessed and loved her but like Milo and Ollie were only partially into her cause they were focused on each other. They were always touching and revolving around each other. I like the males to only be into the main female as she is the center of the RH. Throwing MM in there just ruins it for me and feels like cheating. So what would have been 5 stars I knocked down cause of that reason.
I thought when I first downloaded this book, 17 yrs. old, not for me, but my friend just raved over this book. My friend and I usually read the same authors so I started reading. I'm glad I did. Descriptions were good. Character building was good too. The first three book are well written with lots of questions and no answers. Lots of build up/suspense. The fourth book has the lovin and answers to all the questions. The fourth book also has the most errors. That's why I gave it four stars. Had to re-read quite alot to decifer what was being said. This can't be read alone or separately get the bundle because you won't want to stop.
I love this series! I've reread it now at least twice. I'm a sucker for so much of what we get here - the school scenes from the first two books, all the other woman drama that we get with Dante and Ares, the bonding and magic and the suspense.
This probably the FIRST reverse harem book I ever read and it worked for me in a big way and there are some things that don't feel fully resolved for me around the other woman drama, but that is how this author's writing style works and I've become used to it. Her writing style really resonates for me in a big way so I get very into this series and the characters and what happens.
I'm sure I'll be rereading it again as time goes on.
I’m completely enamored of all the books written by Albany Walker. This story does not disappoint. I was leery at first because I’m not a fan of high school tales but this one does such an excellent job of creating a whole new world within our own current one. A whole new set of people with powers and how they exist within our society and how their family units become one. There’s love, humor, miscommunication and misunderstandings galore. There’s also an amazing love story too. I look forward to reading many many more tales from Ms Walker
I didn’t realize that I had already read the individual books a while ago but was recommended the box set. Part way into the first book I realized I had read it before but decided to continue because I was really enjoying myself. I really loved the first book, I liked the second book, the third book was just fine and then I Dnf’d. The first book was so so good, the second one wasn’t perfect but was still so good and then it just went so downhill so fast.
things I liked: the beginning, expecting a slow start I was.happy to the slow build up in the relationship and understanding. Things I didn't like: little plot. Pages dedicated to a diy store.yet outside of the relationships it felt like little story and what there was, a token gesture.
I'm so glad I decided to read this series. Even though there is action and suspense in this series. It really does focus on the romance of it all. Laura and infinity really do deserve a happily ever after and I'm happy I got to experience it. Highly recommended this box set.
I absolutely love the idea of an infinity ring. So bonded to each other. Laura picking up each person’s ability’s after bonding was wonderful. Very fun how different each boy was. I like Albany’s later work better. This series is about a 17yr old girl. Her age made it a bit tough to relate too. Still a very entertaining read.
Not a bad story if a little disappointing. Liked the idea, the characters, the powers etc but I think there were some missed opportunities with her mom, charlie, mia, delancy and the Leon. Got a bit lost in what the timeline was as it seemed to be much longer and then at one point it is brought up and was actually MUCH less time than implied.
This isna series that gripping, exciting, and loving. All four guys care for her the one they have been waiting for years. And she not alone anymore. They work together learning how to deal with situation. Learning more about themselves as well. The different powers they have, emotional they feel, and love they share. I enjoyed this and the action.
A great series that I will read again. The story drew me in and kept me interested. It was a different take from other books I've read. You forget how young they are as they learn who they are and their gifts. Loved the characters and their interplay with each other. The POV's at the end were a nice touch too.
So this is very much a book set where you can watch the author learning as you go. The miscommunication trope is Huge to the point of cringe in the first two books. The characters are wonderful but the plot needed some work. The climax was midway through the last book instead of the end. If you read it like a slice of life instead of plot driven it’s better received. I want at least one more epilogue book where these TEENAGERS are at least of consenting ages. Which just lets me know I enjoyed this even with the flaws.
Amazing spicy scenes, lots of open ended questions
Worth a read, the steamy scenes are the redeeming factor in this book. Best I've read in ages. However, there are a lot of open ended plot holes that are making it hard to enjoy. Still an interesting read and would recommend to RH lovers.
Very slow to get to the romance, but since it's high school students, I prefer that. Also the reverse harem element made sense but wasn't instantaneous or gratuitous, they acknowledge the challenges they will face for a non-traditional relationship. Very well done
I’m glad I checked out this series! It really grew on me. I also liked that it didn’t just end after the big conflict and we had some time to read about their lives post-craziness. Having all 4 books in one place was really nice too!
Couldn’t stop reading this, held my attention and got better as the story continued. Would definitely recommend this book! Definitely not a children’s book lol
This series was SUPER DUPER AMAZING!!! I loved every sing minute of reading it and it will be another series added to my Re-read pile, which isnt very big! Albany you did a superb job writing the characters and building the story. Just awesome!
Great story. Glad I got it when it was completed. Loved all the characters. Enjoyed the twists and turns. It had the right level of angst for me which is on the low side. This story could have gone in so many directions. I would enjoy more stories in this world.
I read the individual books a year or so ago but it was nice to reread the series in one complete set. I still love this story. Laura and the guys are way mature for their age. The romance and thrill of the the mystery of her mom's disappearance make for a great story.
I absolutely love this author already! This series was amazing and I wasn't able to hardly put it down! I flew through all three books! I will continue reading books from this author!
