Henry Law was Dean of Gloucester from 1862 until his death in 1884. He is especially known for his work entitled "Christ is All: The Gospel in the Pentateuch", which surveys typologies of Christ in the first five books of the Old Testament. It was originally published in 1867. This is part one, dealing with the types in Genesis.
The author does a great job of clearly and unmistakably pointing out Christ through our origins in Genesis. Wonderful pictures of our Saviour. Would highly recommend if you’ve struggled to read the Old Testament. Is a great tool to spark a new way of looking a scripture.
Very good. This is not a comprehensive treatment of the Gospel in Genesis, but is rather a collection of expository messages on the major Gospel types. The book is scholarly, but is also warm and robustly pastoral. Recommended.
Law does an excellent job of drawing out great insights from the types of Christ in Genesis and combining these with devotional meditations as well as practical exhortations. Filled with many memorable lines.
