I don't usually write these things, but since I'm the only person to ever rate it (and, I presume, read it) I figured it was my duty as Mr. Mandell's entire audience.
This short, dare I say cursory, introduction to Basic on the Commodore 64 brought back a lot of good memories. And it rekindled my love of coding that I'll try to re-kajigger to the best of my menial efforts. In other words, this book reminded me that coding can be fun!
