Florida's government is building a bridge to North Captiva Island, which will ultimately result in a second bridge to Cayo Costa. Breeze takes action as only he can. He finds himself in an unlikely alliance with the governor as a result.
He's given another assignment that appears to be out of his league. Can he pull it off, or will it be his downfall?
Another entertaining story courtesy of Ed Robinson. No matter how much Breeze just wants to relax and be a boat bum, he just naturally finds trouble! Great story!
Another good one by Ed Robinson..and I've read them all !
Compelling read , I'm somewhat of a loner and growing up in Fla,I can relate. However after working for 30 years in NYC I have relocated to LA.....lower Alabama , with the second smallest Coast line of any state. It's a unique life style....The Red neck Rivera....with its own list of characters who would fit well in Ed Robinson 's novels is exciting....in a low key way.
When I started this book I felt let down because excepted more. Well the story got a lot more interesting fast. Ed Robinson needs to write faster. I can't wait until the next book!
As a 66 year old 4th generation Floridian living with The Villages as next door neighbor, I preach the the water story. I can only hope the current Governor believes as strongly as this book portrays. I may try to get some transplants interested in this series. Especially, those who think washing out non recycled cans and styrofoam are good uses of water. Some variant of, "I cannot help it, that's what I did at home" is the usual answer . I wont even start on water and ethanol.
I've enjoyed most of the Breeze books now. They keep me excited to see what next adventure he'll get to be in. I love his friends and I feel like I'm a friend of his, only in not in Florida. My older brother was very much like Breeze, who was a UDT guy with the Navy, had adventure like Breeze and, well me I got to stay home and I love your books. Thanks for the great stories, history, current events, romance, comedy, etc.
Sixty years ago living in the Bahamas I knew a lot of characters in and around Nassau. Some remind me of Breeze, one was a pilot for Bahamas Air the other a scoundrel who went to prison for stripping and sinking an old WW2 Air Sea Rescue vessel. The miscreant didn't take into account the sea moves in different directions due to temperature variations in sub straits. Foolhardy fellow.
Although my sister has a house near Burnsville, NC I will always be more at home around Cape Coral and the Caloosahatchee, Pine Island, Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte. Ed Robinson has put a massive amount of thought into his adventures for Breeze. All very enjoyable. Billyrob Robinson
Breeze forfeits his newfound freedom for a woman, criminal behavior seems natural for Breeze, that and hard drinking. This time there are strings attached that he didn't see coming.
Well written with all the right stuff. Keeps you reading from the beginning to the end. Very entertaining, great adventure. I love boats, all kinds and all colors. Rock on
