She's the third sister, often overlooked and the last to know about anything that's happening in the family.

Cece is gifted a cottage in the Scottish Highlands. She doesn't want a cottage or to go to Scotland. Her sisters' gifts were much more interesting.

When spurned by the man she loves, and tasked with selling the beloved family home, Cece believes she will never find the contentment her sisters enjoy. Despondent and alone, Cece learns that another 'unwanted gift' is suddenly very real and forces her to flee to Scotland and to the hated cottage, which proves to be nothing as she imagined. Old, rundown and in need of some tender care like Cece, the cottage becomes her bolt hole to lick her wounds and hide from the world.

Only, she didn't plan on sharing her home with a runaway orphan or finding herself the interest of the local villagers, especially the school teacher who breaks through her barriers and makes her feel special, and there's a certain brooding Highlander that she can't quite work out.

However, just when Cece believes she might find her happy ever after, she is taught to take nothing for granted. Hurtful secrets are revealed, and happiness is destroyed. Who can she trust?

Then, when she is at her lowest, one man shows her that not all is lost.

Yet again, another brilliant read from AnneMarie Brear. Cece, is a great character you can feel yourself living with her character. I will not go into the story as I recommend it for a 5 star read.
Out of the three this was my favourite. Looking forward to reading the next one called Alice.

Amazing all series of the books

Truly enjoyed every book, different characters, especially how they are all strong women. I have been waiting for the last book to be available for a long time. I wasn’t expecting how I enjoyed it more than the others, as cece never stood out in the other series. Wish I had another to read

Beautiful, a truly beautiful read.

I have read all of the Marsh Sagas and I have to say that Cece has to be my favourite so far. I adored her strength and character. Her ability to adapt to a life that is so different to how she grew up. The heartache she had been through was so sad but the happy ending I was willing for her happened.

Riveting

This third book of the series is just as enthralling as the first two. I feel I know the family so well please let us hear more about Ceci ‘s life after returning with the baby and Finley to Scotland

A very involved storyline.

I enjoyed reading this book very much, the storyline was good and it was a good insight into the highlands of Scotland, but I do dislike stories that finish on the very last page, it feels as though something is missing!

Definitely the best of the series

I found Cece's story to be my favourite of the 3 sisters. She was definitely more down to earth and relatable than Millie and Prue. Really enjoyed this book.
