47 books25 followersThe first time I was exposed to books, I knew I'd found a world I could live in. Along with books, I grew up with a wonderful oral tradition of storytelling, passed down from my ancestors who didn't have books and weren't allowed to read.
My mother sometimes told wonderful stories because she couldn't always afford books but still wanted to foster a love of stories and use your imagination in her children.
I always had a book with me in school and as a shy, introverted kid, it was like I always had friends, people I could hang out with, who to be honest, were much more intelligent and exciting than the children around me.
Today I write stories of my own and hope I can give that same sense of wonder and happiness to other people. I was born to write, my path has always been led there, even when I didn't know it.
I am now on a life-long journey to share my stories with the world, and to experience as many new ones as I can, whether it is through books, movies, music, paintings, sculptures, or people I talk to. Everyone has a story to tell, everyone has a life that can impact someone else.
Some of my biggest heroes are writers. Getting lost in a book is often my solace, prayer, and time on the couch. I will always be as much of a reader as I am a writer. Books and stories will always be my first love and each time I pick up a new book or begin writing a new one, I fall head over heels all over again.
I have been published in various paranormal and erotic anthologies including Making the Hook-up, Obsessed, and Best Women's Erotica, all from Cleis Press. A proud self-published author, my books include, The Destroy Me Trilogy, The Broken-Hearted Girl, The Vampire Next Door, Lullaby Lake, and The Sunday Secrets Series written under the pen name, Jubilee Brown.
