This was a weird book for me because a lot happened and it didn't, not sure if that makes any sense. Sure there were some crazy things happening, things that lead to one of their own getting hurt. Yet for a lot of the book it seemed like not much was happening, more planning mode and learning about what was to come and the different powers that were out there. I liked how Herne's grandfather showed up and who he was, liked that Raj showed his secret to more people, liked that Ember is going to start to embrace both sides of herself. Hated what Raven went through and worry that it will screw with her going forward. One thing for sure, with dragons in the picture it's a whole new game.
Sun Broken Is Smoldering Hot Action in a Paranormal Urban Fantasy !
Sun Broken, by Yasmine Galenorn, is the newest release in The Wild Hunt Series. I received this book as a gift from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. I love this series ! It just keeps getting better and better. We find the Wild Hunt Agency members ~ Ember, Herne, Amber, Viktor, Yutani, Talia, and Charlie , tasked by the deputy mayor to find a serial killer whom is specifically targeting psychics, necromancers, and bone witches. Raven Bone Talker is brought in when Ember senses a disturbance in one of the victim’s homes. Meanwhile, there is rumbling that Typhon, the Father of the Dragons, is awakening, which means unknowns for every being, including the Fae. The Wild Hunt meets Fae Queens Neve and Saille in a parlay at Ginty’s , as the queens have broken their truce with each other. No one is certain what will happen if Typhon wakes, only that all the dragons, benevolent and evil, will have access to the Earth again. When a lead in the serial killer case breaks that three of the victims have frequented the same club, Ember, Yutani, and Raven Bone Talker venture in for information. Things get hairy, and Morganna and the Merlin himself step in to help when lives are on the line. Outstanding book ! I was glued to it from day one, and wanted it to go on for another thousand pages. I’m in withdrawl, and anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Some big cliffhangers that have me wondering what will happen next. Kudos, Ms. Galenorn. You have done it again, and I am grateful for your talent.

The Wild Hunt team, lead by Herne, the God of the Forest, is called in to help solve a series of murders, where the victims all deal with death magic. They have all been tortured and killed in the most brutal of ways, but other than their death magic, nothing links them. It is up to the team to find out how they were selected as the victims, why they were killed and by whom. However, what the team stumbles on leads them down dark paths and into scary, unexpected territories to a perpetrator that is much tougher than they have ever had to deal with in the past.
When one of their friends, becomes the next victim, it is a race against time to save her, calling favours from friends and family to help before it is too late.
i hadn't read any of this series before, but it was easy to pick up on who the characters are and their relationships. The background was given, but not overloaded to distract from the main story arc. I really enjoyed these characters and loved the relationships between Ember and Herne and all their friends. It was fast-paced, tense, exciting and shows a lot of love between the characters too. I am definitely going to go back and start this series from the beginning! I need to find out how Ember and Herne got together and how her powers have developed from the beginning now!
This is book 11 in this series and SUN BROKEN is the continuation of story arc two that this author introduced in the past few books; this has got to be the best one yet in the series. The story just flows smoothly and drew me in right off the bat. In SUN BROKEN, the reader finds more about the coming danger in Typhon and who is aligned with him and who is against him and his allies. With this danger, The Wild Hunt Agency has a case dropped in their laps that will test everything and everyone in the group. This has got to be one of the toughest cases this agency has dealt with and I, for one, was on pins and needles flipping the pages to see where it would lead the gang as well as myself. The author does a marvelous job bridging into the next battle that the group and the world will be dealing with and does a marvelous job in tying it all together with hints and more through this pivotal book. Again, I can't wait for the next in the series and am really glad that all the books in this storyline have already been released so I can grab them and go as soon as I finish one.

While I was a huge fan of long series when I was in highschool, now, at 30, my tastes have changed quite a bit and I prefer stand-alone novels or, maybe, trilogies. However, there are two authors that are exception to that - and one of them is Miss Galenorn. I love how she expands her universes and develops her characters' lives throughout multiple volumes.
In this particular book, we're getting nearer and nearer to a big battle which might leave some of the characters shattered. I loved how she got us closer to it and yet the action is not a filler - you get to lose yourself in Ember's fight to save one of her closest friends.
Also, we get to see dragons! I've already fallen for one of the dragon characters - but I'm trying not to give more info about which one, since I don't want to spoil it for others. I just want to say she is downright majestic and I really really wanna read more about her.
In the end, if you've read any of Ms. Galenorn books, you'll love this one as well. And if you haven't, I really suggest you give the Wild Hunt series a try!
Yasmine Galenorn grabs the reader’s attention with a fast paced story embedded with legend, lore, magic and mayhem with her own unique twist. Sun Broken is the latest tale of the exciting Wild Hunt series.
So much happens within the pages of Sun Broken, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Chaos is on the rise as a series of murders involving victims who practice some form of death magic. The Wild Hunt crew find themselves dab smack in the middle of one of the most dangerous places they could possibly be to put an end to this craziness. When one of their own becomes the next target, The Wild Hunt team comes full force. While the world around Ember is changing and preparing for what is to come, she is embracing both sides of her heritage. She is finding who she is and what she is truly capable of.
Sun Broken is highly entertaining and a fast read. Ms. Galenorn weaves a fantastic read.
This is not a book to start with, it is part of an arc that should be read from the beginning. If you’ve read the series up to here, I’m sure you’re looking forward to this book. This time, a brutal serial killer is targeting magic-born, necromancers, and psychics, cruelly torturing his victims before finally killing them. The Wild Hunt has been tasked by the mayor to solve the case. They need help from Raven. Morgana has some advice for Ember - to let her Leannan Sidhe side out more, especially having sex with Herne. Clues lead them to the Fire & Fang club, a dangerous, underground organization, run by vampires in the Catacombs. From there they discover Pandora, daughter of Zeus, is behind the torture /murders and has abducted Raven. A desperate rescue mission is undertaken for the exciting conclusion to the mystery. Typhon, father of dragons, is slowly awakening and spreading his power.
This is another exciting and action packed installment of the Wild Hunt series. This is a great opening to the drama to come with the rising of Typhon.
A new bad guy emerges, and is targeting necromancers and others who work with the dead. While helping the Wild Hunt, Raven gets targeted as the next victim. With the stakes quite personal this time, can Ember protect her friends, and stop the serial killer?
Ember gets some new insight to herself, and the two sides of her heritage. While this will be a story for the next book, we see Ember's emotions and self exploration as she comes to grips with the news that her life as she knows it is changing.
This newest book was absolutely worth the read. I couldn't put it down, and can't wait to see Ember and Herne again!

OMG, this is such an amazing read that once you start you are taken to a whole other world. This world is amazing. It has your good guys and your evil. It will keep you on the edge of your seats all the way through and you have to keep reading to see what is going to happen to Ember and her friends. It moves along at an awesome pace, neither too fast nor too slow, but a comfortable reading speed. You will fall in love with these characters and feel as though you know them personally and no matter what you want to be there with them helping them through whatever they may run into. The story is fantastic and when you get to the end you are dying to know what happens next. This book needs to be read and I am really looking forward to reading what is in store for them next.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. I am providing an honest review. Where to start! So much happened in this book. I was crying by the end of this book due to everything that happened. A serial killer is on the loose killing necros and bone witches. When the gang hunts it down they discover a lot of new information for the coming war. I couldn't put this book down. I am eager for the next book because there is a lot of healing that needs to happen before they can face what is coming. That is one thing I love about Yasmine Galenorn's books, her characters dont walk away from anything unmarked. Every book pushes new character development and forces them to make choices. Love this book!
There are so many chaotic gods already, what Galenorn did with the big bad for this one took the punch out of it. I'm fine with blurring the lore to suit the story or even completely changing it up if it's a character who's going to have time to develop. Taking someone who's relatively harmless in their myths and introducing them with their new lore as the bad guy does not have much impact. Soooooooooooooooo, whatever happened to the crown that Ember was supposed to claim from her grandmother. Because it bugs me that it never even gets mentioned even though getting the crown and the bow was a big deal for a couple books.

This universe seem a lot more complex than other ones the author created, with lots more layers.
Heroic fantasy, but with a much more communal attitude, people helping each other grow into their best selves. There is a time for fighting and magic spells, but there is time for reaching out to help the lost and forgotten and those struggling with their own pains.
Also exploring the dual nature of light and dark fae; Ember born of both courts, with a magical lineage she’s afraid to explore, but needs to release to grow. The succubus within slowly peeks out, but she hasn’t found time to grow comfortable and explore that side of her power.
I will say that the most recent books across different series has ALOT of torture. It is becoming repetitive almost. It seems like the "go to" when a crisis happens. Not sure why. I love this series. I truly do and every character has life. But, I was a tad disappointed with yet again, capture and torture being the main event. Just how I feel. I still can't wait for the next book, but, having read the preview, I may be irritated at Raven more often then not!!
There was so much to love about this book! The usual cast of characters were there but we got to see some new and newish faces. I really enjoyed getting to see the relationships grow and change between them all. We got to see a glimpse of how Herne, Merlin and Morgana interact which i really enjoyed. This book has it all. Adventure, heartbreak, and some smoking hot sexy times!

I love the Wild Hunt series! This installment kept me on the edge of my seat! The plot is very exciting with plenty of surprises and even a little plot twist or two! I love getting to know more about the characters back stories. I was very intrigued with 2 of the new characters and can’t wait to see if we learn more about them in another Wild Hunt book. I love the ending and as always was sad that the book was over.
There's so much tension and worry for the Wild Hunt and co. Relationships and bonds grow stronger as does the danger of pending battles ahead
Raven, the head strong, loyal and powerful ante fae is pushed into a situation no one planned on with Ember, Herne, Kipa and co setting out to rescue her.
My love for The Wild Hunt series is growing to be as strong as my love for the Other world series and I cannot wait for what the future holds.
Wow!!! Such a good book. A mightily annoyed Goddess, Merlin, Pandora, dragons, vampires and my favourite characters all brought together in another thrilling instalment of The Wild Hunt series. At times my heart was in my mouth reading this. It was a one shot read. Forget sleep, work or eating. I needed to know what was going to happen!!
Yasmine, in all her books, keeps the glued to her books, her writing keeps me coming back for more and it's almost like eating on Christmas for the next book. She makes you fall in love with the characters and when something happens you look for ways to help them. She leaves you wanting more.
I love Yasmine Galenorn. I will read just about anything she writes. However this one was not her best. There were several times I was left wondering, what is this paragraph doing here?? And as always, I don't need a road map of every drive they take. Overall this one just seemed to be lacking to me.
This was a wild ride. The story had me laughing in places and nearly crying in others. I'm happy with the way it ended but now I have so many questions...which I'm sure will get answered... eventually. I'm off to read the next book - can't wait to see where it takes me.
The time of chaos is upon us and that brings danger to everyone. A simple night out can bring about tragedy and our crew finds out the hard way. All the stops are pulled this time, the God's, the Hunt and someone unexpected join together to rescue one of our own.
Ms. Galenorn took me on another exciting adventure. I could not put it down until I finished it. I definitely recommend that you check this series out. Strong female characters, Magic, fae, gods and goddesses, tons to love.
This book couldn't have been better, it really brought out embers heart more. And made Herne more human. Every book in this series is better then the last. I love being immersed in embers world. You will never be disappointed when you delve into a book by Mrs. Galenorn.
Enjoying this series and watching the growth of Ember. Similarities to today are sometimes both unsettling and enlightening. I hope Raj's character is further developed in future
I can never get enough of the Wild Hunt books. There is so many facets. You have danger, excitement, love, fierce loyalty and fun. It's so hard to finish one and wait for the other. Ms. Galenorn you have locked this one out of thr park. 😊😊👏👏
Typhoon is coming. His emissaries are arriving. The skies boil with warning. A member of Embers friends vanishes after a dangerous mission, and it just keeps building up to a powerful conclusion.
