An oblivious man. An order from the King. A love that can never be.
Ina is the youngest of the four Ross sisters and the only one who has not found her happily ever after yet. Although being the most petite of the four, she is a fierce warrior who intimidates all men who want to marry her.
When a handsome young Prince comes to the castle riding his beautiful stallion ordered by the King to marry young Ina,everyone thinks she found her very own fairy tale.
But Ina cannot stand him.
She instead falls for a huge man named Beiste who came riding an exhausted horse dressed in tatters and without remembering anything! This strange man, despite being wounded, before falling unconscious, he asked her to take care of his horse and nothing for himself. Ina had never met such a selfless man before.
Being one of a kind herself too, her rebellious character pushes her to act reckless and try to escape her fate. Life is no fairy tale though, so she gets in deadly danger.
When all hope seems lost the mysterious stranger will wake up from oblivion and any man standing in his way will have to flee.
But no man can defy the orders of the King. It will take a Beast to do that.
"Highlander's Wounded Beast" is a standalone story by best selling author Alisa Adams, packed with mystery, battle, and romance, set on the beautiful backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.
What an exciting action adventure Highland romance. From the very beginning I was intrigued by the warrioress Ina. Petite but packed with skills beyond the rest of the warriors. She is mighty with the sword as well as with the dagger. She is an exceptional horsewoman. Her three older sisters had met their soul mates and she could not wait for hers to appear. Her sisters continued to introduce her to man after man and none had passed her muster. That was until a beaten man on his tired wounded horse came to her castle. She was immediately attracted to him. He had temporary amnesia and did not know what had happened to him. He was badly beaten and set to bed with Ina watching over him and tending to his wounds day in and day out. There was a nefarious reason the strange man was beaten and left for dead. In the meantime, Ina was approached by two different men intent on wedded her. Both gave off suspicious vibes that Ina and her three sisters could not ignore. As the stranger’s health improved, he remembered his name Beiste. He returned Ina's regard but because she may be on the verge of being betrothed to another and he could not remember if he himself was pledged; they could not take chances. It was difficult for both of them. The two suitors from earlier that wanted Ina's hand caused some serious trouble. Beiste would not stand around and watch his beloved be threatened or treated badly and wounded in battle. But the danger was not over yet there was more to come. Would they ever find out why these suitors would endanger other just to get to Ina? Would Beiste recover his memory as to why he was there? Was there any hope for he or Ina? If you love a good Highland adventure than this is for you. I highly recommend it and know you will not be disappointed. It is a definite page turner.

I really loved this book! I was a little confused by the Scottish accent written out at first, but it got easier as I got further enveloped in the story. There was so much to love. I loved how Ina was a strong female who could protect herself and she was not so easily taken in by good looks and fancy words. I had not read any of the previous books that described the sister’s stories, but I was still able to appreciate the strong ties between the four warrior sisters and their two crazy aunts. I fell in love with Bieste as soon as he asked them to care for his horse before asking help for himself. He is kind, charming, and honorable. It was a well written story with plenty of action, sweet love, and happily ever after. A reread for sure!
Highlander's Wounded Beast is a Fantastic Story! It is one of those love stories that you have a difficult time putting down. Ina is the youngest Ross sister who is a fierce warrior just like her sisters. She loves to add life and drama to situations. And she is looking for her knight in shining armour fairy tale happy ever after ending and "someone to keep" just like her sisters. After helping a huge brawny highlander named Beiste who can't remember anything after being attacked Ina decides she wants Beiste to be her Beast! I was totally swept away with the sigh-worthy romance of Ina and Beiste! You just got to love Aunt Hexy and Aunt Burnie! These two special ladies will keep you smiling and laughing out loud with their antics! A delicious romance full of drama, delightful dialogue, suspense, turmoil, mystery, betrayal, excitement and action, and all the twist and turns. I enjoyed visiting again with Ida's sisters and their two husbands. Alisa Adams has given us a story of love, faith, and to triumph over all!
Exciting and Captivating Conclusion of the Ross Saga
The stunning, thrilling, and wonderful conclusion of the saga of the Ross sisters. I love how the story flowed bringing the much awaited story of the last and in my opinion, smallest, intimidating, and strongest warrior, Ina Ross. Her head may be filled with fairy tales and love ever after, but she is fearsome to behold. The characters and plot are well developed. Story has romance, humor, mystery, intrigue, deceptions, battles, loyalties, and trust to name a few. Fast paced action with twists and turns and a surprising conclusion. I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read an exceptionally great book. I received an ARC for this book and am giving my honest review.
A man wounded came to the castle. Ina healed him but he couldn’t remember who he was or why he was wounded. All he wanted was for his horse to be tended to. Another man came to the castle with a letter from the king to say he was to marry Ina. Ina was taken by another man and wanted to marry her. The wounded man thought his name is Beiste. Ina called him Beast. Beast saved her. One of the Aunts disappeared and when looking for her the man with the letter from the king left. Chasing him Beast saw the horse and remembered the horse was his and he is George Beisteson De Beaumont, Duke of Beaumont and Brandon. He is a Prince. The letter is actually for him to marry Ina. Beast and Ina are keepers. They are in love.
I have read several books by Alisa Adam's and have always thought that she is a really good author but, I was wrong she is a Great author! The storyline in this book was original as was the character's, the aunt's personalities just jumped right off the page for me.Larger than life!! If you are looking for a great romantic read... This is the book for you. FYI!!! This story is the last of the 4 Ross sister's, each book is a sister's story with lots of love, hate, fear and a hea. I read them in order but you don't have to to love them!!
Another great read by Alisa Adams. I have followed this writer since we have had the pleasure of her words into storylines. This book is another hit. It's sweet and definitely has romance, betrayal, etc. I would sincerely recommend her books to anyone interested in the joy of escaping into adventures in Scotland. I received this ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I have freely written here
I love Ina's cheeky sarcasm . What a dream of a romantic story w just a touch of spice to make things interesting along the way. A nice read for a comfortable code for a few hours since it's only 11 chapters plus epilogue. For a strong that's just a snack of a book but a great snack compared to one of Diana Gabaldon s odyssey books of over a 1000 pages lol
Ina and the Bieste’s story gave me all the warm fuzzies. I loved Ina’s independence and Bieste’s sense of honor even when he had no memory of who he was. The aunties gave us comic relief and Lord “Crumb” was a dastardly creep. Highlander’s Wounded Beast delivered on action, romance, and a HEA. It was a great read.
I forgot what a great read this series was. Having read the first 3 of the books about the sisters I forgot how great the characters and storyline was. I read it in one go couldnt it it down. Great book totally intriguing. Looking forward to next book or series of books totally recommend this author
This was a good read but I think the first 2 in this series are better. If I told you why it would ruin the story for you. Whatever you do don’t read the short stories at the ends of 1 & 2 because they kinda ruin 3 for you... I think this is why I don’t think it’s as good as the others, well partially anyways. Happy reading!!!
Enjoyed this book . Loved the story of Ina and the stranger who couldn't remember who he was,but Ina was going to keep him away. All 3 books in this series were very good . I love having women being the warriors even though they still had men that let them be themselves.
What a great ending to the series I have been on pins and needles waiting for this book to see of it would be the perfect ending and it was ....Alisa you captured my heart and joy and mystery with this one ...thank for the perfect ending
I really enjoyed the story, however I don't like extended epilogue. They NEVER download correctly and you leave your readers hanging. I think this will be my last book. I like a complete story.
Ina and Beiste's intriguing tale of love and deception as Ina is feeling pushed into a marriage not of her making. Wonderful writing, storytelling and memorable characters, including Aunties Hexy and Burnie, make this another 5-star book of Alisa Adams you will not want to miss.
I'm enjoying the adventures of the highlands. Now that a Duke has been introduced to marry the last sister, I must read on to see what, or who, will dare to threaten the women
My review is the same for the entire series. These are romance novels, they are entertaining but there's not much depth to them. All are very fast reads. If you want to just enter the world of horsemanship and Scotland with love tied in these are the read for you.
This was another great read. It was full of humor, excitement, betrayal and romance. I was only slightly disappointed to read the ending in the extended epilogue from book two. However, there was enough mystery and intrigue to keep it interesting and exciting!
I really like how they involved all her sisters and their husbands and How they are trying to help her find a husband too. I Think I would have liked it if they added more to the story. I would tell my friends to read it.
I LOVE the writing of Alisa Adams! The banter of characters, the sass, sarcasm, and humor force me to stay up was way past bedtime! I thoroughly enjoy every page!! THANKS, AGAIN, ALISA!😘 Bobi
This was a wonderful story of this Scottish man’s love of a lass. The author Alisa Adam’s did a fantastic job of capturing all of the emotions of these people.
I loved this book and found that I could not put it down. It was a book full of romance and fierce highland battles. I loved every story about these warrior sisters.
One of the best stories I have read. Who could not be captivated by your Prince Charming coming to give you true love, respect and acceptance for who you are.
