What a classic motivational book for all us mere mortals. refreshing, realistic, funny and inspiring. A light hearted easy read that looks at plans, defining goals, changing the ways we define ourselves while accepting life and shit happens. Loved the reverse psychology, the inner chats and that bloody little orange monster. This is a no nonsense, everything put into perspective book that will inspire even the laziest. Congratulations Gab. My question is... Why would anyone want to be an Alpine Swift Swallow when you could be a Barn Swallow? Loved “The Fuck Off Hour” concept . This book is down to earth, it’s about setting realistic expectations, understanding ourselves, including our limitations and peaks while being honest with yourself and In turn preventing disappointment. It’s about listening to your inner voice, understanding our values, measuring personal productivity, setting manageable and achievable goals. I would recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to be inspired, anyone who wants to stop being a lazy bastard. (you’re welcome, lucky you)!
Great quote: every action needs to adapt to our life, and not the other way around. Best Hint: Not killing each other is great for long term productivity purposes. Funniest Line: The reality is that being a productive person 24/ 7 will make you an asshole.
As a productivity book junkie, I have to say this is a refreshing approach to 'solving the problem'. The witty narrative, mix of tips and stories that are actually applicable to a life that is not perfect and full of 'lego' makes it an easy and fun read. Since reading the lazy bastard, I've definitely become more productive but unexpectedly become much more chilled and relaxed about when I'm not. Bye bye Alpine Swift!
