Bernie Bridges is back with another plan during his days at Rotten School. When Bernie finds out that the yearbook is having a page dedicated to the most popular student, Bernie knows he has to do whatever it takes to be crowned king of the school. From helping others, planning paparazzi shoots, even throwing a huge birthday party for himself, Bernie will do whatever it takes.

I’m rereading the series from when I was a kid. Obviously not my typical reading level, so I don’t have anything bad to say about the book or the series at all. It’s a fun read that has even cooler illustrations throughout. Whether you need a fun read, you’re in between books, or just a good little break from the book you’re on, I’d recommend this series.

Dumb, de-dumb, dumb!
As an elementary librarian, I try to read children's books from time-to-time in order to stay "in the know." Decided to read this one from Stine's Rotten School series. When I first looked through it, it reminded me of the much adored Wayside Stories, as well as the Garbage Pail Kids from the 80s! Although I love the Wayside Stories AND the Garbage Pail Kids, this book was not my favorite.

This book is about a boy named Bernie. He thinks he is the most popular kid in school when he really is not. Its someones birthday guess who's not invited Bernie. Guess who crashes the party Bernie. What wil happen at the end. Will Bernie be the laughing stock at the school?
