A Brewing Storm: Orishas of Aye

Rate this book
Misunderstandings and not compromising has a reputation to rattle the foundation of any marriage, whether it’s going good or bad. This ideology is even true amongst the Gods. The powerful storm Goddess Oya can no longer bear the feeling of loneliness, the absence of physical touch, and love escaping her and Ogún’s marriage faster than lightning could flash.

Like most men, the God of war and iron, Ogun, is completely oblivious to his wife’s feelings. With a crumbling foundation, it was so easy for Shango to swoon her. Now that Oya is the third wife of Shango, his real intentions are as clear as a blue sky. Anger, hurt, and betrayal are now the main ingredients in a recipe for disaster. An all-out war between the Gods have now been created.

With so much power-wielding in the air, sparks fly, sending all three of them to be reincarnated throughout time. Now in a new and modern era, Oya is a thriving storefront owner, who also owns one of the biggest black owned farmers market. Her life is about to take a drastic change when a devilishly handsome fireman and a professional boxer barges their way into her life.

I thought this 1st read by this author was a great introduction to her writing. I liked the setting and as the plot unfolded, I found this story to be quite captivating. The characters lives, past and present were explained which helped everything come together nicely. The ending has me looking forward to reading what happens next

The creativity from this author always amazes me! I can tell from this one, a lot of research and effort was put into this one. Loved the characters in the different eras, the gods and goddesses, and the suspense/secrets. Looking forward to the next one.

Take notes 🔥 writing

This was such a unique story. The author had to really do her research for this one. You actually have to think as you read . You need to connect the dots. I had to make notes. I appreciate how Ms. Tyme weaved her way through history. She delved into historical moments as the Gods transcended time. It was amazing. The ideal of being reincarnated, spirits returning every decade into a different cycle in a different time. It was just very unique. This is a good and well written, but not easy read . You have to be able to follow the flow. Brain power is required. Again Wynta Tyme 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.

It held my interest

The story was good and it held my interest for the most part. I am also a huge fan of the paranormal genre. And I will always go hard for the sistas that play no games and handle business. Seems like we'll get more of Oya/Sarafina doin just that too, so I will be there for that.

Can You Weather The Storm?

Baaabyyyy, this is my first read from this author and I'm at a loss for words. I could not put this book down! This book had all of my attention. I almost ripped out my edges because of anticipation. All I know is if this "to be continued" don't come fast enough, it's going to be fire in the city. It was that dang good! Come on now Wynta and stop playing! Got me over here singing NE, asking can you stand the rain! I got time today!!!!
