Here you get a good overview of what narcissism is and how it affects people to be surrounded with narcissist. The author has first-hand experience and that comes across since she writes with understanding and empathy. There are some resources connected to the audiobook, but unfortunately I didn’t figure out how to access them.

I downloaded this book to learn more about narcissistis and how to stay safe from their toxic ways because my close friend warned me about these type of people. It is great because there was so much I didn't know and the way the book reads out there are a lot of video links to help better understand the context within each chapter. The book itself outlines in a very discriptive way what a narcissist is, how they came to be that way, and how to help them become a healthier human being. I think we forget sometimes that no matter how horrible a person can be, the fact still remains that they were born into this world as well. I really enjoyed how this book also identifies common traits within other personalities that may lead to the development of a narcissist. I am so glad to have found this book and I hope it is able to help someone else out there as it has helped me.

As soon as I saw this book, I had to read it. Why? Because someone I love was in thrall to a narcissist.
I thought I knew a lot about this mental disorder, but I was wrong. It's true I knew quite a bit but this book opened my eyes even more.

While this book made me sad for these individuals, it made me even more frightened for my loved one. (He walked out on her after verbally abusing her and she hasn't talked to or seen him since!) It appears that narcissists are not born that way but trauma and incidents in life turn them that way.

Be warned though that this book is a bit superficial and does not go in-depth about narcissists. While it gives some reasons for this mental disorder it doesn't really get into it. This book tells you something but leaves you hanging to make up your own mind. I'm sorry but someone dealing with a true narcissist and his/her mental, emotional, and physical abuse needs something they can hold on to until they either decide to leave the relationship or he/she decides to leave him/her!
