Mí humilde opinión:

'Falton Falls Bakehouse' es el hogar de la mayor creadora de galletas del mundo: Annie Braithwaite.

Ella tiene una receta que todos los empresarios quieren pero ella no la venderá. Se quedará en la familia.

Eso es si encuentra al hombre de su vida de hasta ahora con sus veinticuatro años no ha sucedido.

Y entonces un sexy turista entra a su panadería buscando un sándwich.

Baxter Hollis trabaja con su padre y viaja a Falton Falls a buscar a la mujer de la receta de galletas mágica. Ella es difícil pero él conseguirá la receta.

Pero cuando ve a Annie sabe que ha encontrado a la mujer de su vida.

Quinto libro de las curvas dulces y...

Me estoy haciendo a la idea con los libros de esta autora que no veré mucha profundidad en ninguno de ellos. Estos serán insta-amor-lujuria-todo a primera vista para pasar el rato o cortar con libros pesados. Es lo que es y tendré así que está bien.

La heroína fue débil y algo más...

Annie era exageradamente inocente por el lado del sexo y con aquellos que quieren robarle su receta a toda costa.

Llega este Bax y no sospechas nada? De inmediato salta a la cama con él sin más preguntas, ni siquiera sabe su nombre!?

También hay cabos sueltos en la historia pero es rápida con algo de drama sucediendo y con un amor exagerado.

Bien pero la pareja no me convenció y la historia predecible.

These are such fun little reads.

Annie Braithwaite makes the greatest cookies in the world and has the award to prove it. After inheriting her bakery from her grandmother she’s happy working in and creating her special cookies but with the fame has come the sharks, everyone wants her cookie recipe but she’s determined not to sell out. So when Bax arrives in her little shop and sweeps her off her feet she believes she has her happy ever after but how will she feel once she learns his true secret?

Baxter Hollis is in town to convince the elderly Annie Braithwaite to sell him her secret cookie recipe, no one is more shocked when he learns the buxom young beauty behind the counter is the woman he is there to see. He wants her from the moment he walked in and saw her bent over and when he learns why she’ll never sell her recipe he knows he’ll do anything he can to keep it that way, but once his true identity comes out will she believe he only wants her love?

Can’t go wrong with these books they are safe, cute with a little steam. Good epilogues too. 3.5🌟

Annie is a cookie queen!!! Many people come to the small town 5o taste and munch 9n those delicious cookies, and many come trying to get the secert recipe but cookie has turned them down time and time again.  Thats how she meets Baxter. Bax is sent by his father to sweet talk Annie into giving him the recipes he is on board until he meets Annie and he is head over heels in love so he informs his father the deal is over he won't help.

Now Bax is on a other mission make Annie fall in love with him & help keep that cookie recipe in her hands. But it isn't easy when he keeps his family name out of their time together.


No ow/om drama, no cheating, tiny drama, slight secondary chara, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore guy

Okay, this was a bit better than the last book (#3, oops I skipped ahead one!) but not by much.

I can read instalove stories just fine but this one just seemed ridiculous to me for some reason.

So Annie (24) owns a cookie shop with “the worlds best cookies” which is a family recipe that everyone and their mom is trying to buy from her, but she won’t give it up. So here comes Baxter (39), sent by his father who owns a huge food company to try and sweet talk her into selling. But one look at Annie and Baxter is “in love” or so they say.

The shit that comes out of his mouth not 5 seconds after seeing Annie just give me the creep factor even if the dude is all ripped and hot as fuck.

“I’d like to eat your cookie.”

I’m just looking at the woman who will have my children, and I’m not one to pull punches. So how about you go out back and tell that boss of yours you’re running away to get married.”

“The moment I walked in here, I knew you belonged with me.”

Nah, this just isn’t working for me. I can imagine how this would go IRL and no woman would fall for that crap.

But he comes back the next day and she does fall for it. 🙄 I mean, this girl is 24 years old and is not only a virgin, SHE’S NEVER TOUCHED HERSELF BEFORE. Are you kidding me with this right now? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Anyway, aside from all that... Baxter avoids the question on what he does for work and never gives his last name (he even avoided giving his first name until pretty much right before they fucked) in case she recognized it and connected him to the food company his father owns. Lame.

Plus his dad shows up and acts like a dick, praises him for trying to get her recipe by making her trust him and think he’s  family and they get the ingredients for free but in the next paragraph he’s saying “it was just like that with your mother... go get her.” and accepting their love. When his dad was this asshole for the whole story. Sure, makes sense.

The only thing I liked was the epilogue because it ended in a nice HEA and the fact that her weight and body type was somewhat referenced more than the other books... but she’s also 6 foot tall so.. there’s also that. 😂

I dunno what happened... I liked book 1 and 2 of this series. I’m not giving up hope just yet.

I’ve been enjoying these quick reads from Megan Wade’s Sweet Curves series. They are all insta-everything and rather fun. Annie is a baker known for her cookies and Baxter is the heir to a food empire trying to get those recipes for himself. However, the second he see’s her that flies out the window and he knows that Annie is the one for him. Now he just has to convince her to fall in love with him before she finds out who he is and assumes that all he’s after are her...um...cookies!

Annie se ha convertido por casualidad en la panadera que mejor hace galletas. Desde entonces las grandes compañías le han ofrecido millones para que venda su receta pero ella se ha negado, es su legado familiar y solo lo compartirá con sus hijos.
Cuando Braxton entra en la panadería a la que su padre lo ha enviado para comprar una receta de esperaba encontrar a una mujer mayor... No a la mujer de su vida. Así que ahora está dividido entre su trabajo y su futuro, pero la decisión hace tiempo que está tomada.

Como siempre esta autora no defrauda. Me he hecho adicta a sus libros. Son cortitos, instalove, poco drama, final feliz y mil millones de hijos. No hay mucho que decir excepto que lo recomiendo para pasar el ratito 😁

Cookie

What a sweet little story! Bax, son of a major company, was sent to get Annie, the cookie Queen, to sell her families cookie recipe. Annie refuses to sell as she wants to hand it down to her children. When Bax walks in and sees Annie for the first time it's love at first sight! Sparks fly and things move at lightning speed after that. This story is 100% safe and free of any kind of abuse, cheating and ow/om drama and has a very Happily Ever After with epilogues 10 years out.

Cookie is book five in the ‘’sweet curves’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Cookie is a bakery owner that specialises in cookies. When she won an award for the best cookie, it brings a lot of business. It also brings a lot of people trying to buy her secret family recipes. Baxter is a businessman sent by his father to try and by the cookie recipes. What he didn’t expect is to fall in love with the bakery owner the moment he meets her. Will Baxter be able to keep Cookie when she learns why he was really in town?
The chemistry between Cookie and Baxter is clear to see and I really liked them as a couple. They’re sweet together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

When Baxter first sees Annie his life changes in an instant, he no longer wants her recipe he wants her. What happens when she finds out the truth about his initial reasons for being in her bakery? Will they ba able to work past the betrayal and get their shot at forever or will the hurt be too much to recover from? This book was a sweet read with just the right amount of heat.

Loved this addition the Sweet Curves series. Baxter and Annie were so good together. The instant chemistry and attraction between them was so intense. There is a small hurdle in their new relationship, will they be able to overcome that and get the HEA they both want?

Simple but very good
3.5 Very good simple romance, quite hot, which seems a little irrational as to the immediate reaction of the hero at the beginning.
Baxter must convince a pastry chef to sell her cookie recipe to his family industrial business. When he discovers her, he immediately changes his mind and decides to seduce her boldly, directly. For Annie, the curvy pastry chef, this may only be a joke, but when he comes back, she no longer doubts. However, to seduce her Baxter must above all not say who he is.

This is a wonderful story of love at first sight, and about someone willing to give up everything for the person they love. The characters are fun, over-the-top alpha and loving, protective, strong, passionate, emotional, and heartfelt with a whole lot of chemistry. Wade grabs the reader by the scruff and drags them into the story, keeping them on the edge of their seat waiting to see how the drama unfolds.

Baxter, the heir to the Hollis hwole foods empire, was sent to get Annie's cookie recipes. When he sees her, however, he wants her instead. Telling his father that the recipes are not an option and he will be delayed, he sets out to get Annie. She is reluctant at first, but Baxter is persistent, and forthright. Annie soon finds herself giving herself to him wholeheartedly, and loving it.

At the New Year's Feastival, however, everything comes to a head. His father, it seems, did not listen and showed up. It was then that Annie learns that Baxter is a Hollis. Figuring he used her to only get her cookies, she runs away. Baxter is furious with his father! When his father realizes his mistake he encouraged him to go find her. Suprised, and releaved, Baxter did just that!

Is Baxter able to make Annie understand that she was the most important thing in his life? Or was Annie determined to throw away the best thing to happen to her because she did not herself worthy physically worthy of Baxter? Find out what happens in "Cookie".

Annie lost her grandmother last year so she’s taken over her business a baked store Annie has won a award it says that she is the world’s greatest cookie creator plus she’s had offers to buy the recipes but they belong to the family and she doesn’t want her cookies to be massed produced but the award has done wonders for the shop. Baxter has been sent to Falton Falls by his father to buy the cookie recipes he believes that all he has to do is to show his pearly whites and she will sell them to him easy peasy right!!. But when he walks into the shop and is met by a woman’s butt he lets out a groan he wants to own her possess her he knows that he is thinking crazy but she is a beautiful curvy goddess and he can’t help himself. Baxter tells the woman that he’s looking at the woman who will have his babies but little does Baxter know is that Annie is the boss not just some worker like he thinks she is but when he finds out that she is the boss Baxter seems disappointed he was expecting an old lady that he could sweet talk into signing a contract and not this goddess ohh boy he’s in trouble. Loved this story it’s a fantastic curvy read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Annie took over her grandmother's bakery when she died, over a year ago and the bakery is the home of the of the world greatest cookie creator, Annie Braithwaite. Because of that Annie's business has pick up greatly, even people from out of state want her cookies. Even big business offered her big money for her recipe, but she turn then all down. Then one week before New Years, a gorgeous man walks into her bakery and confesses his love for her. Thinking he is joking and another company trying to buy her recipe, Annie laugh him off.
Baxter Hollis, is from a food company and was send to Falton Falls Bakerhouse by his father, to sweet talk Annie into selling her recipe to him. And the image Baxter conjured up in his mind, was not the image he was looking at now. What he's looking at now is a sexy, beautiful goddess and he is in love instantly. Calling his father and tells him the deal is off and he is not asking Annie to sell her recipe to them. What Baxter has in mind, is to make this beautiful woman he has fallen in love at first sight, his and be damned with the recipe.
Will these two people get together inspite of Annie's cookies, or will true love win out.

Babycakes and her Hero

Loved this book about a young woman with some insecurities about her body, and the man who teaches her to love herself, like he loves her.
Bax is the son of a wealthy man, a man trying to get the secret cookie recipes of Annie/Babycakes. The minute that Bax sees Annie he feels completely attracted to her. He decides that he won’t attempt to get her recipe, in fact, he will help protect her secret recipe.
Annie/Babycakes, is a young woman that owns a cookie bakery, and she has won some acclaim for her cookies. Several companies have attempted to purchase the recipe, but she refuses to sell. When she meets Bax, she feels an immediate attraction to him, but her insecurities hold her back.
Bax is persistent in his attempts to get Annie to fall in love with him, and eventually succeeds. A problem occurs when Bax’s dad shows up, but the couples love overcomes the bad situation.
The epilogues are beautifully written, and the couple obtain their HEA.
I am loving these instalove, concise books, and recommend these books written by Megan Wade, as a quick romantic read.

My desire to binge on romance books has (kind of) returned after a long time of drought. Trying focusing on studying has grew my appetite for reading and what would be better than a cute, insta-love romance book to take the edge off.

I have heard about Megan Wade's books in the past but never picked up one until now. After reading the description of "Cookie" I knew that I should begin with this one first. "Cookie" impressed me for what it was. It is an incredibly sweet, steamy, insta-love story and didn't try to be something more than that. Basically it is what it is and it delivered on its promise. Because it is a cute, short romantic story though doesn't mean that its plot is bad. The plot was actually nicely constructed and everything made sense by the end. I appreciated that the characters actually used their brains and acted as normal people would and didn't act irrationally or childishly.

Buena historia..... aunque si me parecio un poco exagerado en los tiempos porque se conocieron y a las 24 horas ya estaban haciendo cosas y ademas ni el nombre de cada uno se lo sabian sino que se llamaban el a ella pastelito y ella a el ni idea.
Y ademas el solo le dijo que se llamaba Baxter y ella no le dijo que era la reina de las galletas ..... el no le dijo su apellido y donde se lo diga ella huye porque entiende que es el hijo del dueño de la fabrica que le ha querido comprar las recetas de manera intensa desde hace años.
Cosa que se descubre en la feria del pueblo donde ella vende sus galletas con exito, (a pesar de que las hizo la amiga Nina), en fin, el enredo va en que el papa de Bax y Annie se encuetran alla y se descubre el supuesto plan inicial para comprarle o robarle las recetas de las galletas. Bax lo niega todo y dice que se enamoro y que dejaria la fabrica de la familia por ella ... asi lo hizo y lo perdono. En fin. las cosas no pasan tan rapido. Next !!

Baxter Hollis as in Hollis foods. A big company one of many after the cookie recipes from Annie Braithwaite the cookie genius.
Annie has been offered millions for her recipes but will never sell they are a family secret only to be handed down to her children, if she ever has any.
Baxter's father has enlisted him for the job of convincing her to sell, he is expecting an older grey haired women, what he sees first shicks him. After making suggestions that she tell her boss she has to leave for her wedding bot once imagined that this beautiful woman was Annie. To his surprise ans horror he can't have both.
So Baxter sets out to woo her with no intention of revealing her recipes to his father. But as they are happy ans falling in love his father is making plans.

I really enjoyed this story. Annie and Baxter were very entertaining. Nina cracked me up. I feel like Nina needs a book too!

Annie makes cookies in her bakery from her family's recipe that is passed down generation to generation. People drive for miles for a box of fudgey choc chip. She makes all kinds of cookies, but that's all. No sandwiches, unless you count a cookie sandwich.

Baxter is from out of town when he stops at Annie's bakery hoping for a sandwich. When he gets into the bakery and starts checking out Annie his interest in sandwiches changes into interest in a curvy baker. How does he convince her that he really wants to keep her?

Loved the interactions between Annie and Baxter. I laughed a lot. I definitely recommend reading this book.

What starts out as the pursuit to charm, what he thinks is an old lady with cookie recipes ends up becoming the love of insta-love of his life. Annie has a cookie business that she takes very seriously. No matter who has come, she’s turned down all of the commercial baking and cookie companies choosing to keep her recipes secret and individual. In comes Baxter determined to win her over and get her to sign over her recipes. He doesn’t anticipate falling in lust or love with her and standing up for her against his father and the family business. While predictable, since I’d already committed to reading the others because I loved the first two stories in this series so much, I kept reading. I still don’t get why virginity seems to be the big draw of these professional BBW women, I suppose it works for these stories.

It's alright.
It's a bit predictable...
I also have issues with Annie (the sweet baker) being very skeptical about new people, especially those new ones in suits looking to obtain her famous cookie recipe. However, even as skeptical as she was about the hero she fall into bed with him so fast.
It's also annoying to have the hero's father come in to add some drama to the story and then just kind of leave that there hanging...
Like seriously, this guy was dead set to have that recipe for his food store. And then he's all like "go get your girl" and that's it... did the hero have to give up his inheritance that he claimed he would to keep Annie?
See, if you are going to add some things to these shorter stories, you have to make sure to tie up all loose ends. If not, the reader is left a bit floundering on what's happening.

Annie & Bax

Annie is the owner/baker of the best cookie shop in the world. She has been getting tons of offers to buy her family recipes, but she refuses

When Bax Hollis is sent to town by his father to get her to sell her recipes, he falls in insta-love at first sight the second his eyes spots Annie. His whole future flashes before his eyes. He calls his Dad and tells him that he's not doing it and wants to protect Annie's recipes at all cost.

Bax never tells Annie his last name because he doesn't want her to think that he is after anything but her at this point. All is going well, until his father shows up and spoils everything!

Will Annie realize that Bax really loves her and not because of her recipes? Or did his father ruin any future the two could have had?

This was a sweet short read.
