These are some nice selections of devotionals from Genesis through Revelation. I might have included others, but you can't include them all in one short book! Any book that promotes further study and reflection on scriptures is beneficial. Each two page journal includes a chapter or two of scriptures to read first, a key verse from the reading, two questions and space for response to promote understanding, an application reading and journaling section, and lastly, a prayer. The application section was usually poignant and a good reflection on the scripture. I would have improved it with always concluding the section with key questions on which to perhaps base the journal writing. Sometimes, all I could say in reflection was an "Amen."
