They don’t want her there. She doesn’t care if they push her out until she finds good reasons to stay at BriarEdge Academy. It’s only September, and it’s going to be a wild year…
Seven months ago, Candace was just a normal girl, living in a sketchy neighborhood with her single mother and going to a public school. Then her mother went and fell in love, marrying rich guy Ashton Westerly, and they want their kids to be one happy, blended family. Part of that plan is to send all three to the exclusive BriarEdge Academy. Candace isn’t happy to spend her senior year at the elite boarding school, and her stepsiblings aren’t happy to have her. Malone, the evil stepsister, goes out of her way to make life miserable. Her stepbrother, Dalton, seems to want to destroy her. If he’s not torturing her, he’s trying to kiss her, and she hates him as much as she wants him.

The academy isn’t all bad. There’s Lex, her fellow student, who is sweet and protective, though she can take care of herself. There’s also Jonas, tasked with caring for the magnificent roses of BriarEdge, who finds her as beautiful as his beloved blooms. Professor Kip Stuart is completely forbidden, but that’s just a harmless crush—unless he feels the attraction too…

This is a series intended for mature YA and adult readers. It includes some cursing, mild violence, a few darker elements, and sex. It is a contemporary reverse harem academy romance with some bullying, including from one of her love interests. When four is better than one, #whychoose?

This is part-one of a nine-part series. There could be cliffhangers ahead, but the installments will be released quickly.

Kit lives in Idaho with her husband and two sons. She enjoys writing several genres and subgenres. When she started publishing, dinosaurs roamed the earth, and authors had one pen name with their publisher. That was the name you wrote everything under, no matter how dissimilar. Thanks to advances in publishing, it's now easy to have more than one pen name, and many readers have come to expect a certain type of book experience from each author. The "brand," if you will.
Kit's catalog makes it difficult to tell what brand you're getting, so she has "co-authored" each type with a pen name, so you'll know what kind of book to expect.
* Paranormal Romances (including shifters): Kit Fawkes and Kit Tunstall
* Contemporary romance with some steam, but not erotic: Lilly LaRue and Kit Tunstall
* Contemporary romances that are erotic: Kit Kyndall and Kit Tunstall
* Edgier works (including fertile erotic romances, bad boys, and stepbrothers): Kristianna Sawyer and Kit Tunstall
* Science fiction romance: Aurelia Skye and Kit Tunstall.
* Horror and post-apocalyptic: T.K. Reilley and Kit Tunstall.
* Darker erotic romance: R.E. Saxton

Interesting and exciting start to a RH new series

The story was short and sweet, but it's also very exciting. This book is definitely like an introduction to all the main players in story. It’s a good read and leaves u wanting more.

Disappointed

I had read September through November individually and rented this book so I could read December. Unfortunately, the only book here was September, and there is no other way to get December. I’m considering not bothering with the rest of the series

Her life was great until her mother married into money, she has gained a stepbrother and a stepsister. They hate her as much as she hates them but she is going to be sent to the same school. It is not going to be easy for her as they intend to make her suffer. Will she get any friends? Will she beat them at their own game? see what happen in the first month at school

Her mother married a rich man and now Candace and her step brother and sister are going with her to BriarEdge Academy, a boarding school. Having to change schools in your senior year is hard especially when they don’t want her there. But over time she is attracted to four very different guys. This could be one wild ride.

This is a great start to a five part academy series and is a contemporary reverse harem romance. The characters were defined well and each one unique with good and bad traits. Candace was amazing and her character seemed to pop off the page and make you invested in her outcome. The story was set at a good pace and the book was easy to read but difficult to put down. The emotional drama came from how Candace fought to overcome her own feelings of inadequacy and the many mean and romantic events that she was subjected to. It was interesting to see how much growth she was making. Being the first in a series, keep in mind the story is just beginning. This book has definitely peeked my interest and I look forward to reading more about Candace and the four me she is attracted to.

This is book one of a series. This book largely is setting the stage for the story to unravel from. The story line is interesting, well written and laid out. I found this to be an easy and quick read; not negating the complexity of the plot but rather, the interest level of reader. The character development to date is clear and the reader can easily get a clear, crisp view of each character involved in the telling of this tale. Already there are characters that this reader feels an affinity for and those most definitely on the wary or disillusioned list.

I look forward to more great reading in this series.

Multiple Men or Multiple Views

It was okay. Felt like we just jumped in with barely any background on our main heroin. She has multiple love interests starting from day 1 from teacher, to stepbrother, to groundskeeper, and finally another student. Only one love interest that seems appropriate but the taboo of her teacher is the exciting one to me. The multiple POV threw me off because it doesn’t title the changes, but it also shortened how I read the book with 1 part being told over from different views. I found a few errors in writing, but nothing to throw me off from continuing my read. I would read the next book though.

Good start!

I really enjoyed this first installment! Candice is a great heroine and stands up for what she believes in. Her love interests are just starting to develop but the dynamics are going to be really interesting!

I enjoyed this book but there was some parts in the book that another person was talking. I can't wait to see what will happen next for them and what with these guys she is liking.
