He’s the boss, but he’s stuck in a life he wasn’t ready for. Too bad his beautiful new hire isn’t letting him settle for mediocrity.
Griffin William’s only wish was to use life-saving dental procedures to help those in underprivileged areas of the world. But when his dad suddenly passes away, Griffin is called home to save the family business. Finding himself in over his head, he fights against accepting help from others, especially his brand new co-dentist.
After completing her dental residency, perfectionist Aubrey Skinner thought she’d landed her dream job at Williams Dental until she met her new boss, Griffin Williams. He’s attractive, infuriating, and making it impossible to maintain her professional standards. Adding insult to injury, he’s also pressured her into taking over the community charity event…except he’s white-knuckling the reins and offering opinions on everything.
Griffin and Aubrey soon can’t deny their deepening feelings. Their patients are starting to notice, too. But as the event draws near, the two go head to head on Griffin’s wardrobe: the ugliest of ugly Christmas sweaters. Will Aubrey be forced to walk away from the only job she’s ever wanted over a stupid sweater? Or can Griffin’s softened heart convince her to stay and give love a chance?
The Billionaire's Christmas Fling is a sweet novella with a happily ever after. The "Christmas at Gramercy" series: Book 1: The Billionaire's Christmas Fling (Andy and Cora's love story) Book 2: The Boss's Christmas Sweater (Griffin and Aubrey's love story)
Deb Goodman’s obsession with the written word started at age three, when she realized the old-timey newsprint wallpaper in her family’s bathroom had actual words on it. The only problem? By the time she learned to read a couple of years later, the wallpaper had been replaced with something else—boring, non-worded wallpaper—and to this day, she still doesn’t know what it said.
Now, she and her husband and four children live in Utah. They love sports, music, and doing slightly insulting, pretend voices for their little shorkie, Mavis.
Deb writes funny, small-town romance that you won’t need to shield your kids’ eyes from. Billionaires, friends-to-more, enemies-to-more, cowboys, fake relationships…there’s something for everyone here!
Writing lovey dovey books comes naturally to Deb since, to her, there’s nothing better than reading and writing about how two people fall in love.
– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone
– this is told from Aubrey & Griffin’s points of view
Review:
I enjoyed this sweet novella! And while I typically want more from novellas, this one felt complete to me! Aubrey and Griffin were sweet together and I liked the way their relationship progressed. I loved Aubrey’s ideas for the tree they were in charge of for the charity. I also liked how all their coworkers/patients wanted to see them together!
Summary:
Aubrey just started her dream job at Williams Dental, but not everything is like her original dream. For one, her boss, Griffin, is the son of the man she remembers working there all those years ago. And he is much more attractive than she expected her co-dentist to be. Though that attractiveness is dimmed by his off-putting attitude and his constant input on the community charity event that she was put in charge of this year. But as they spend more time together, Aubrey sees more that hides beneath the surface and begins finding it hard for her to maintain an only professional relationship with Griffin.
Griffin loved his work in underprivileged parts of the world, but had to stop when his father passed away and left him the family business. When he gets home, Griffin finds that managing the local dental needs is too much for one person and reluctantly hires another dentist to help him with his load. Aubrey is good at her job and helps him the best she can, but Griffin is used to doing things on his own and finds it hard to let go of control. So when Aubrey is assigned to help with the community charity event, Griffin joins in and is determined to keep things the same as years past. When they go head to head on the apparel for the event, Griffin worries that he may have made a mistake. But how can he fix it and show Aubrey how much she means to him?
New dentist Aubrey Skinner takes on the task of handling the Williams Dental tree for a charity event. She comes up with a cute ugly Christmas sweater idea, but head dentist Griffin Williams is not happy that his patients are switching to Aubrey, she didn't sign up the charity he wanted for the event, and she got him an ugly sweater that he doesn't want to wear. On top of that is the stress over their attraction to each other and she fears what others will say about it. I love Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and that Hermey inspired Aubrey to be a dentist. Griffin was grumpy and bull headed, but he was also sweet when he loosened up. I loved that his father encouraged Aubrey in her love of dentistry as a child. This was a clean funny Christmas romance.
A trip to the dentist that won’t hurt or cost a fortune!
“The Boss’s Christmas Sweater”, by Deb Goodman, is a fast reading, sweet & chaste novella that takes place during the Christmas season. Aubrey is a newly graduated dentist and Griffin is has been practicing for 4 years. He has been forced into running his family practice due to the recent passing of his dad, the previous owner.
Griffin is struggling but doesn’t show it. Aubrey has childhood trauma that’s motivating her, unbeknownst to those around her. These two destiny crossed dentists have an angsty, charming, humorous and poignant few months working out their relationship in this seasonal read📚
Dentists fun, yep it is a fun story. Griffin is the owner of the business having taken it over because his father had passed away suddenly. Up until that point he was working with Dentists giving their attention to children who needed care in Zimbabwe and surrounding area. He finally after trying to do all the work in his father's dentistry by himself he made the decision to add a dentist. Aubrey was thrilled with working there and eventually the two fall in love and marry. What a perfect ending including a baby now on the way.
Fun novella set in Gramercy. He finally came home to take over his dad’s dental practice after his unexpected death. But his heart was still overseas in outreach dentistry. Aubrey had always dreamed of being a dentist since watching Hermey on Rudolph. They clashed over everything, especially the Giving Hearts charity. Can they ever have a relationship and be professional? Clean read.
Her first job as a dentist with an uptight boss that intimidated her, Aubrey did her best. The office manager is away on jury duty and chaos prevails. A lighthearted Christmas story with a bit of romance.
The Boss's Christmas Sweater is a perfect book for when you need a break! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fun, clean, light hearted romance. The characters are delightful and the HEA is so well done. I just breezed through it. From the description that must be the ugliest sweater ever!
