Trapping Quincy

Rate this book
He teases her. He challenges her. He fascinates her while he irritates her like no other. He drives her insane. He makes her...ughh, so mad she could scream! The only thing he won't do is let her go.

Quincy: I'm a human living among the werewolves. My mom is a werewolf. She had drunken fun one night with a stranger, a human. The union was not supposed to bear offspring. I'm not supposed to happen, but here I am, an outsider.
They all hate me but my Nana loved me. Then Nana died. They moved me to the packhouse. Now, their old Alpha three times my age wants to make me his. That is not the life I signed up for. My Nana nurtured me a dream to go off to college. So I run. I run not because I'm a coward. I run to save myself. I will have nothing to do with their kind anymore. I'll be a normal human among other normal humans. I'll be so normal, even the most average normal humans will feel like freaks next to my normal ass. They will bow down before me and call me Queen Normal.
Then I see him. The best specimen of men...but I know he's not human. He's not a werewolf either, so what is he? There's this pull between us but I know I shouldn't get close to his kind...whatever he is. The trouble is, he won't leave me alone.
Caspian: I've been looking for my erasthai for decades. My mother dearest, the queen of all werewolves and lycans is pressuring me to marry Lady Celeste. I'm supposed to take over the throne from my father and make lady Celeste my queen. I want nothing to do with her. I want my erasthai.
Then I saw her. She's a human. The most beautiful mesmerizing creature ever, and she's mine!
I thought it's going to be easy. It should have been easy. Come on, ALL girls want me. I mean, look at me. I'm gorgeous! Mirrors weep when I walk past them.
She refused to give me the time of the day. Well, too bad princess. I'm not about to let you get away. I'll crush all other competitions. I'm Prince Caspian. I always get what I want.

OMGEEEEEEEE! My all time favourite in the Russian royalty series!!!! (Constantine, Caspian, Darius) I find myself coming back to this book over and over, before even finishing the other books in the series, because the story between Caspian and Quincy is soooo for real! Action packed, filled with angst, and the most intriguing, FILLED WITH LOVE!!! Gosh, the connection between these two made me love lycan/werewolf romances more! :D
I love the way Caspian really loves Quincy, through his goofiness and what seems as arrogance. Excuse, royalty coming through!!! I love that Quincy is quirky as well, with the egg opening-scene (hahahahahaha)!

And I ABSOLUTELY LOVED how Nicole Riddley took her time with this story, taking us along from the horrible beginnings to the beautiful and conquering ending of this couple. I loved them growing in their relationship.
PERFECT!!! And I read this book on Galatea, so you know I WAS INVESTED!
Book 2 can come out now, then I will be happy!

The first book I read from Nicole Ridley is 'Fayre'. Once I read it, I wanted to read more from her so I searched for other books and came across this one. I loved reading this book. The story is intriguing and characters are witty. I love your works Nicole Ridley and I am currently reading another one of your work only.

Mannn I love Caspian more than anyone else in the pack. And I wish this book was longer. With more fighting.

I really don't know why I read all three of these full-length books, but I reviewed the other two so now I feel like I have to review this one as well. The plot gets slightly more contrived and the stakes raise just a bit with each one. It's more Wattpad-scented wish fulfillment. At least this couple had better chemistry and communication than the other two, because yikes.

I started reading this book on Inkit. And went back today to read the next chapter and it shows no longer available.
They should let you know if they’re going to pull it from the site before you get into a book.
I was reading it on Galatea but the waiting time in between each chapter is 6 hours. I’ll be dead before I get to finish it.

I just read this for fun and because I wasn't ready for the commitment to actually start a new series. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was very ridiculous and fun.

Not enough build up to the main conflict, too much going on for the page count.

✔️Werewolf/Lycan
✔️Fantasy
✔️Mates

I remember reading this book on Wattpad several years ago I’m not sure if I ever finished it but this time I read it on Galatea and it was good I enjoyed reading about Quincy and Caspian’s love story again. Quincy is a half werewolf half human hybrid but she doesn’t have a wolf so she’s classified as a human. She lives in a pack with mother and family who treat her terribly because she is a human. Quincy is taken in by her grandmother (Nana) but when her Nana dies, Quincy’s family try to mate her off to the former Alpha. So Quincy runs away to California where she meets Caspian. This story has a good plot nothing too crazy, and Quincy is very silly and funny at times but overall I loved reading about her and Caspian, the ending was cute I like that they didn’t have children right away. This was such a cute nostalgic read.

I found this book on Wattpad (and currently that is the only place I could find where you could read it) and I have read it a few times before.

It has quite a bit of spelling and grammar mistakes which made it kinda hard to read in some places.

The story had moved very fast in some places and very slow in others.

There seemed to be alot of information that was added that wasn't needed, and alot of stuff that was repeated multiple times throughout the book.

I didn't find the ending very satisfying, it felt very rushed and kinda incomplete like there was meant to be another couple of chapters and the author just didn't care anymore.

This was my first book and I didn't know it was a series, would have liked to start at the beginning. I felt like it could work on the description of the actual fight. It skips the fight for the point of view of the main character, would have like more chapters in Caspians point of view. Overall it was entertaining.

I liked the book but I’m pissed as fuck that Celeste and Jorden ended up together. Talk about a fucking betrayal from family. Caspian should’ve ripped her spine out

This is a super fun read if you’re looking for a prince seeking true loves kiss!

The writing is also relaxed and enjoyable, it’s very easy to relate to the characters and Riddley does a great job of keeping readers in a place where we learn about the world and the characters through the eyes of her narrators!

I do have 2 big issues with this story however.

Critique and Spoilers;

The first is the amount of time spent with each narrative. Quincy and Caspian are primed to help us experience two sides of this world, her with lack of experience and discovery and he with a long history with various characters, and knowledge. However we barely spend any time with Caspian. I found myself desperately waiting for chapters or even commentaries from Caspian side. We could have explored his passion more and seen Quincy’s growth through his eyes. Instead we more often than not got Quincy providing insight by what she presented us as what was said to her. This felt really disappointing as there was so much hinting done towards how she was changing, traits she had before her mating, and how strong she was that was NEVER explored. I would have killed for just one chapter in which there was any kind of input from Caspian on how she was growing or her strength.

But this is my other issue, chapters from Caspian’s perspective were consistent in how rushed they were. Ok he’s obsessed with Quincy, but the way she sees him compared to how he sees her in their perspective chapters made it clear we COULD have seen more of her little quirks, the small qualities that drew her to him, how her feelings and actions affected him-the way we got that about Quincy from his chapters. Additionally they were usually used to rush through what sounded like interesting plot points. We completely skipped through story I wanted to see! There is an entire subplot worth of adventure content that is literally boiled down into one overview chapter we get from Caspian right before we go back to a too long section on Quincy’s kidnapping and subsequent rescue. I could have moved past that if the whole ending hadn’t rushed towards the finish line as well. Like how did we never get Caspians feelings on having a half brother, or seeing his father struggle with the loss of his own soulmate, or reconnecting with his mother, OR how it felt to go through the final battle and watch Quincy display forgiveness???

Like I said, overall this story is FUN and a very enjoyable read! At the end of the day, my rating reflects the frustration I hold with the fact that this story easily could have been even better.

It‘s not available on Kindle -> only Galatea

I have mixed feelings about this book.

It started really strong and I was immediatly hooked. In the beginning I liked the FMC very much. She is fierce, strong and brave.

BUT as the book continued I slowly changed my mind about her. She became really annoying at some point. Unnecessary temper tantrums. Punishing Caspian without any reason. I don‘t know how he could put up with her. In almost every conversation between them he had to shut her up with a kiss. There wasn‘t even ONE moment where he did something wrong but still she messes with his feelings and then left him hanging. She was toxic as hell.

Caspian was just perfect. He‘s definitely book-boyfriend material. I also liked the side characters very much. They gave me ACOTARs inner circle vibes.

The world building was good. I could picture every scene very clear in my head which is a huge plus!

The storyline was interesting enough to keep me reading but I had difficulties to continue here and there. The book could have been shorter. Sometimes it felt dragged out a little too much.

The writing was okay-ish. Sometimes it skipped scene or even days without me realizing it. I was like: „Did I miss something?“ Had to repeat some previous lines just in case but nope.

Nonetheless: All in all it was not a DNF which means something in my case. I read the book within two days, so obviously I was hooked enough. I kinda recommend it when you need something „easy“ if you know what I mean.

Amo a Quincy, amo o Caspian, amo todos. Agora Trapping Quincy duas vezes! E vou reler Catching Gênesis também.
Escreva mais por favor. Te amo Nicoleeeeeee. ❤️
Quero ter os livros físicos um dia.

My fave character ever! I love Caspian, he's so funny, charming as well as serious and possessive ugh. I couldn't get enough of him in trapping quincy, I wish there was more of his POV but other than that I loved the two couple. Quincy is reserved but she also has a side to her that's strong and playful like Caspian who's playful but had a serious side to him. Honestly wish queen Sophia found her eresthai cuz I felt bad for her, the king should've never mated her their story is so tragic and messed up. Overall loved the friendship in this series and felt close to all of the characters!! I'm glad I read this series 😭 I'm gonna miss Caspian ugh.

this was so good I’ve been waiting for this guy‘s book because in all the other books, he was such a cutey and he really did live up to my expectations and I love our girl too because she just blended in with our group so good. I hate that there was other woman drama, even though he wasn’t entertaining it, but it was still there, but at least it ended good like it didn’t end with our girl like getting taken or injured like all the other books did so it was like a little bit of difference but yeah, good book

A different read for me, but it was awesome. It was a little light on the intimacy scenes, not accustom to that in romance books. but it was a good book. I like Caspian jovial behaviour and Quincy no-nonsense stand. i felt like the book didn't rush the romance, they grow into it no matter how short the time they did grow into it. I also love a possessive male, it is just one of my things. I recommend the read. I read it in 2 days.

This is my 2nd fav book in this couple series. He’s suck an f boy and a playboy. but the minute he smells his mate he’s done playing. lol the MMC is also a comedian bc the way i giggled at their banter is hilarious. and than their chemistry is so funny and good. intense scenes where the fmc is almost turning was cool. i love a cool transitioning scene where they morph into a different species. loved it. the spice is great. the intense scene with his mom was cool. The ending was good.

My third read. This was by far the most complex book of the series. I enjoyed each character but think the characters story line could have been more involved that Casper. Yes it about him and Quincy but the others where important also.

The only place to read this book is Galatea and you have to commit to paying a subscription to be able to read this book. She has the first six chapters on Wattpad to get hooked to, then there is nowhere else to read it.

Loved following this series, TP is always my go to comfort read. Quincy is badass and manic pixie girl-esque without being too male-gaze-y. Caspian is silly + devoted (deadly combo). Is somebody gonna match my freak???? kinda vibe🫰🫰🫰Anybody know where I can find a hobo hoodie??

I liked the plot but the writing could use a lot of work. Also, a few pet peeves of mine— I get Quincy loved her Nana, but the amount of times she said the word “Nana” could’ve made its own novel. And the talking for her teddy bear, Oliver, was just cringy.
