Having finally met for the first time, Elizabeth and Thomas soon find themselves in mortal danger as the Mass Extinction series continues.Having encountered a strange little girl they found at the side of the road, Elizabeth and Thomas follow her to a seemingly abandoned old hospital. They soon discover, however, that something deadly lurks in the shadows, and that the little girl is hiding a terrible secret.Beneath the hospital, a horrific experiment is being carried out, and a familiar face is involved. While Thomas tries to understand Sarah Carter's aims, Elizabeth finds herself being drawn into the experiment and soon faces a fight for her life. A cure for the zombie outbreak is tantalizingly close, but sacrifices will have to be made if humanity is to have any chance of survival.Days 101 to 108 is the seventh book in the Mass Extinction Event series. The book ends with a cliffhanger, and readers are advised to start with the first part of the series.

Days 101 to 108 is the seventh novel in the Mass Extinction Event series created by Amy Cross. In this chapter, Thomas, a survivor from Oklahoma, and Elizabeth, a survivor from New York City finally have a chance to meet, and it does not go well. They find themselves in complete disagreement as to where to go and how to get there. Their meeting is as a consequence of the disaster in Boston, and clearly will color, and have an effect on their future decisions. When they spontaneously act to protect a young girl who seems struck with some type of psychological disorder, they invariably get mired in a trap that seems benign on its face, but quite sinister in reality. This is a part of the series that should not be read as standalone because the past is prologue and is foundational to what comes next in future stories. Still, I am enjoying the subtleties of the series. Amy Cross is a master plot designer with major intricacies added and interwoven. She is attentive to the nuances of the series which make me feel like I am in the hands of a skillful storyteller.

What a ride

I absolutely love this series, and this one certainly had me turning the pages as fast as I could. I love Thomas and Elizabeth.
Oh, but what a cliffhanger!! I hope I don’t have to wait too long for the next instalment.

(Read the first book in the Mass Extinction series, 'Days 1 to 4'. Didn't enjoy, therefore will not be continuing with the series.)

Just curious to see how this ends...

The storyline of this series is pretty interesting and is the only thing that has kept me reading this far. You'd think that would be enough but it's not. The characters of any good series need to be likable. There are 2 main characters in this series which are Elizabeth and Thomas and for the most part I just want to punch them in the face to either get them to shut up and actually take some real action or just knock some sense into their heads. Both of them have serious trouble making even the simplest decisions. There's always a ton of hand wringing and back and forth before finally coming to a decision which is always the stupidest choice available. It's beyond comprehension as to how these 2 survived even before the world collapsed because they have to be two of the stupidest people on earth. Their idiocy is incredibly frustrating and annoying! I don't understand why the author had to make the 2 main characters like this. The series could have been so much better if the characters had at least some common sense. In book 7 I found myself hoping that Elizabeth suffered extensively because she made such incredible idiotic choices. It's hard to believe she has any more working brain cells than the zombies!
There's also some small inconsistencies here and there throughout all the books which is frustrating. Like at some points Thomas has a gun and then he gets into trouble and I'm wondering why the idiot isn't using his gun. So it seems that he only has the gun when the plot allows for it. That's just one example.
There's also some editing issues.. I've read other books by this author and this series isn't nearly as bad however there's a few typos/issues here and there.
At this point I think I'm only continuing to read the series because I'm curious to see how it ends and as of book 7 I've been doing a lot of skimming. Also, I don't have any other books lined up to read right now and these books are on sale for $0.99 each. I keep hoping that the characters will wise up which would definitely improve the reading experience but I won't hold my breath.

Another enjoyable installment in this series, where Thomas and Elizabeth battle in various ways against the tide of zombies and soldiers and...

Fast-paced, this story zooms across the pages and the moral and ethical dilemmas unfold. Sarah is an intriguing character, if not likeable, yet her blunt reflections of the truth are both alarming and respected.

I hope there is a satisfying conclusion soon.

Recommended.

Good read (pun intended). I've enjoyed traveling through the days with the two main characters and it's nice for them to now be teaming up. The writing has become much more solid and the British-isms (in earlier books they made me grin, never really bothered me) have been reduced as the books have been released. I keep enjoying Ms. Cross' work.

I enjoyed this book as I did in all of the others in the series. Thomas and Elizabeth have finally met. However, Elizabeth is still on the hunt for Toad. Thanks to a couple of scientific experiments looking for a cure Elizabeth has become an a zombie. I’m still wondering where Thomases brother is as we haven’t heard from him in a few books and the mother and Thomas left behind. Are they really dead?

Upsetting the flow

Some really serious proof reading required.......
Other than that the story line for this genre was quite good.
Please ensure the next in the series follows the above .......

Hell week on steroids

Just when you thought the “good guys” were in control, Amy Cross slips in a left hook. Some dangerous curves ahead with a few sudden stops. But, Amy keeps it all in line.

Disappointed

So short and it's like Amy's bored with this and looking ways to half heartedly finish. So many story flaws as well. Series started out so good until now.

Typos abound

Despite the various amounts of typos, I did enjoy it. I'm not sure why there are some British terms here , unless author is a brit.
