New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Melody Anne continues her sizzling and heartfelt series about billionaire Joseph Anderson’s long-lost nephews.

Salt-of-the-earth navy veteran Noah Anderson is just starting to understand what it means to be exceedingly wealthy. Since he and his four brothers received a huge payout from their long-lost billionaire uncle, they’ve been hard at work building a new veterans center—and hard at play with the lovely ladies in their lives.

Noah, in charge of designing the center, has been mostly focused on work. However, coarchitect Sarah Jennings commands more of his attention all the time. Sparks fly whenever they’re together, but she’s wary—even afraid—of love, and Noah isn’t the biggest fan of commitment.

When they reach a creative roadblock, Noah and Sarah decide to jet across the United States and study the buildings that most influence them. The trip quickly inspires more than just a love of architecture, and with a little help from Uncle Joseph, the reluctant couple gets ever closer to discovering what they’re really looking for.

Sorry Melody but I have got to stop requesting your books, they are simply killing me with boredom. I am thinking nice guy fixing or building a vet center, he got me, but no I put him back. I didn't feel the love of Noah and Sarah yet I kept reading that they were, how dont ask me, but let me give you a little advice read something else, anything else.

Noah isn’t my first read from Melody Anne, however, it is not my favorite. I struggled to connect with the characters from the start.

Noah and Sarah have somewhat of a friends with benefits relationship at the start of this story, neither of them willing to take it beyond that. Then the accident happens and things change for them both. They continued to work together and Noah did what he could to prove to Sarah that they can be together, that there is something between them.

While I struggled with connecting to the characters, there is no denying that they did have chemistry. Plus, I do love Joseph Anderson and all his meddling ways.

Noah and Sarah’s story just wasn’t for me, but we’ll see what the future holds for the rest of the Anderson brothers.

I have read just about everything that this author has written. I Love Joseph Anderson and his meddling matchmaker ways. However, I am struggling a bit with this book/series as it is starting to feel a tad too redundant. The books seem to follow the same cookie-cutter formula. However, at the same time, That is part of what I love about this author because I know I can count on her to give me a quick read, oftentimes with babies in the end, and steamy romance.

Even though this has not been my favorite, I am still sure that I will read the next book in the series because, again, I like Joseph Anderson. I just wish there was a tad more variety to spice it up.

I have read many of Melody's books and usually enjoy them, this one I had a hard time getting through and if I hadn't committed to writing a review I would probably not have finished it. I found it boring and repetitive, it was a case of just get on with it already.

There really wasn't much of a story line to it except for Noah one of the Anderson's falling in love with the young architect who is working on an Anderson project building a veterans centre and his love interest playing hard to get then giving in and having amazing sex, then playing hard to get again.

The story starts with a car accident involving Noah and Sarah which was a great introduction to the story, but then it went nowhere, the story could have taken a much more interesting turn after the accident if the theme had been expanded more.

I hate giving a book a three star review but this was definitely a miss for me.

A lackluster storyline paired with a writing style that features more "tell" than "show," this falls flat. This couple is already together (kinda? sort of?) when the book begins, so the reader misses out on them falling for each other, and in turn misses out on the chance to fall for the characters. It's all push/pull, with a confusing backstory and a heroine who isn't all that easy to like. I couldn't get into it at all, and never connected with either of the characters.

The story follows Noah and Sarah, two people who have a relationship that started out sexual. They're both afraid of commitment but found that they didn't want to walk away from each other. When Sarah is injured in a car accident, it puts things in perspective for them both... and they run scared of the feelings brought on by the near miss. Six months later, and things are still up in the air between them, but they're working together on a project, and that stirs up all of their old feelings.

I didn't love the first book in this series, but I didn't hate it either, so I thought I'd give this a try. It definitely wasn't for me. The writing style is so internalized that I didn't feel the chemistry between these two, and for a couple that's supposed to have trouble keeping their hands off each other, I didn't feel any heat. I also found their backstory confusing. Yes, I get that they started as a fling, but the accident happened 9 months prior to present day, and they've been working together for a significant portion of that time. Was their relationship just... on hold? Did neither of them really consider that the playboy or the serial dater might've... moved on? They claim to not know each other all that well (despite the fact that they started sleeping together almost a year ago), and don't consider themselves to be dating. Yet Noah is talking about marriage proposals and there's no discussion before having unprotected sex. I scratched my head a few times wondering what I was missing. Much of the book is spent with Sarah pushing Noah away, which didn't do anything to help move the relationship forward or make me like her any better. So ultimately I had very little invested in seeing how things played out. I appreciated receiving an ARC via NetGalley, but this one was a miss.

The Anderson family patriarch pairs off another perfect match!

Noah and Sarah, both architects, are working together on the veteran's center organized by his "uncle" Joseph Anderson. Joseph is involving all five of his newest nephews, Noah and his four brothers, and this is the second book in the series (Finn found his romance in the first).

This one was a bit confusing at first, even though I'd read Finn, as it wasn't quite clear what Noah's and Sarah's relationship was before her near-death car accident, nor was it clear what impact the accident had on their relationship after. What we know is that they dated before, but hadn't resumed dating after the accident. Then, when they start working together on the plans for the center, Noah wants to pursue something serious while Sarah doesn't have much faith in happily-ever-afters and doesn't want a relationship to distract them from their professional goals.

I wish there had been more care given to explaining the foundation of their relationship, but eventually I did get on board with it. Noah is singularly devoted to Sarah, and uses their extensive time together to show her how great they are as a couple.

The monkey wrench thrown in just as Sarah was beginning to believe in their future seemed to come out of nowhere, as if added just for the dramatic effect, making it really hard for me to believe in their solid HEA when it does finally come. But, I can see the big picture, and it does work out well for them as Joseph sets up the next couple in the project (and the next book in the series). I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Noah and Sarah have a decent amount of push and pull with their emotions and intentions toward each other, and it seems like chemistry alone isn’t enough to bring them and KEEP them together. Sarah is unwilling to let her heart truly lead the way, while Noah is willing to lead with his heart, if only his stupid head would stay out of it. This series has been interesting because two brothers now have had to pursue the women they want, and they’ve both done so in original ways to avoid being too boring. I vastly preferred Noah and his methods to Finn’s, but Sarah and her reluctance to really take a chance for a decent chunk of the book somewhat annoyed me.

This was a pleasant story, but maybe I’m getting weary of Joseph Anderson interfering in everyone’s lives. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I won’t be interested to see what happens with Brandon and his uncle-created match, but sometimes these stories feel a tad formulaic. They’re definitely good for a fluffy read when I need to clear my head though.

Noah (Anderson Billionaires #2) by: Melody Anne

4 of 5 stars

Love, life and laughter make for an irresistible romance. Melody Anne continues to speak to the heart as only she can. Noah and Sarah put emotions on notice, that their story will run away with your heart. It's been eight years, and multiple heartaches later, I remember why those captivating Andersons had me at hello. They prove that if a heart truly believes, love just may have the strength to conquer all.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the second book in the series, but links across many other series where Joseph Anderson does his best match-making to ensure all his family are happily married. I have read many of them and enjoyed them a great deal, but I have to admit that this group of brothers, who grew up ignorant of their absent father's family's wealth until recently are not my favourite. Possibly because they are still rather dubious of accepting the money, let alone the dating advice of JA, given their father's poor behaviour, or just because they have a different mindset.

This book certainly starts unusually, in that Noah and Sarah are in a relationship, when they are in a car accident and she is the most injured. Noah decides he is bad luck (based on people he cares about having poor outcomes) and he should leave her alone. Sarah decides that she was being punished for mixing business with pleasure and resigns from the project they were doing together. Her resignation is refused by aforesaid match-maker Joseph, and we then experience the two of them knowing they like each other - because we have their inner voice telling themselves this repeatedly. There was a lot of description and not a great deal of communication, which I did find frustrating and slow to read. I really struggled to feel engaged, or after a while, even to understand why they did even like each other.

I have to admit I am shocked that I felt that way, as I have read dozens of MA books and enjoyed them all, and usually finished them in one sitting as I am so engrossed. It may be me, it may be the time I read it, but somehow this is a bit of a miss for me. And, a few days after I finished it, I am still bothered that they went out to a restaurant (travelling separately) and after drinking a lot of wine, he let her drive home - stupid of me, but was totally out of character for both of them.

Noah and his brothers never expected to become instant billionaires but that’s exactly what happened when they found out they are related to Joseph Anderson, having come into wealth they decide to put the money to good use and build a new veterans centre because after all that’s something that close to their hearts. To get the project off the ground Noah needs to work closely with a fellow designer Sarai Jennings, could Joseph Anderson be up to his old tricks and matchmaking once again......
Sarah and Noah become close as they try to come up with a design that works for the centre and durning that time feelings bubble to the surface but this couple is not ready for a relationship and they spend a fair bit of the time fighting the attraction and the chemistry they both share for each other. Has Joseph once again found the perfect match ?
I love catching up with the Andersons and their extended family and friends and I enjoyed this entertaining read. Good addition to he needs Anderson Billionaires Series

Noah has a history in the Navy so when his Uncle wants his help to design a center for veterans, he can’t say no. He has been working on the project with Sarah and a casual relationship between them develops however when they are in a car accident rather than it bringing them closer they both use it to put a further distance between them.

Months later circumstances and a matchmaking uncle force them together once again and this time around Noah is willing to put his fear of relationships in the past but convincing Sarah to take a chance on him and love isn’t so easy.

This is a slow burning romance with a lot of missteps along the way as they each come to conclusions about the other’s actions when talking to each would go a long away. Although they aren’t my favorite couple I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

M/F Romance
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Despite reading the first book in this series, I felt thrown in to the story. I am still unclear how their relationship started and why they didn't continue after Sarah's accident.

Noah is working with Sarah on a veteran's center and it's a very big and important project. They have a history, but know that keeping things professional is the way to start. Noah knows that he wants to have more with Sarah, but doesn't want to scare her away.

Overall, this is just a ho-hum romance. I didn't think that it was really all that spectacular. Also, the "twist" is very odd. It felt more like it had been thrown in just for some type of conflict, but not that it really meshed with the story.

This is a romance, and this is the second book in the Anderson Billionaires series. I have to say I just could not get into this book. I could not make myself care about these characters. The writing style was not for me. I won a kindle edition of this book from a Goodreads Giveaway, but this is my own feelings about this book.

Sarah Jennings is a newly-minted architect when she is hired to help design a veterans center with Noah Anderson, who is also an architect. They become lovers while they are working together on this project, and then they are in a car accident and Sarah nearly loses her life. After that, Noah decides to stay away from her because he is afraid of hurting her again. Sarah takes that as rejection and wants to resign from the veterans center project, but Joseph and Noah won't let her. They really want her to complete the project, and deep down, she really wants to complete it as well. This story is about how they finally work things out and figure out all of the design challenges inherent within the project.

Sarah spends much of the book in a wishy-washy place where Noah is concerned. Noah knows his mind, but is afraid to trust it where Sarah is concerned. As a result, this book drags in places. The pacing is uneven at times as well. A good portion of the book is spent examining the motivations of each protagonist. While this leads to a deeper understanding of the characters, there were times when this reader wanted to move them along just a little bit faster. The interactions with Joseph and Katherine Anderson and with Noah's siblings are some of the best parts of the story! These parts just come alive on the page. There is a low-level tension throughout much of the book as well, which is compelling to the reader. The good outweighs the bad, making this book worth reading. Many of the characters are memorable, making this reader wish they were real!

I received this ARC from netgalley in exchange for a review, and tbh, that's the only reason I actually read through the whole book. The blurb was interesting talking about architects seeking inspiration for a veterans' building and being in the field I was intrigued. The book is anything but interesting or informed. Plans and drawings are mentioned, but it feels like neither the author nor the characters know what an architect really does. The characters are supposed to be likable, but I never cared what happened to them, because everything was told, not shown - lots of long thought monologues, though the characters barely spoke to each other and when they did, it was super banal. (Oh these brothers have a really great relationship?? You would never know it from the scenes, only from the "thoughts") Similarly, the protagonists supposedly have this super deep attraction to each other but you never feel it - and there is so much angst! Why? You never know. After the long drawn out supposed attraction and pursuit, the climax is 5 seconds, literally. The hero shows the ring and all is forgiven. Ugh!

There wasn't very much romance in the part of this book that I read. I did not finish it on account of the awkward writing and excess of monologue/explaining. I didn't feel any kind of heat between Noah and Sarah, even though I was told many times in the book that they couldn't stay away from each other. Therein lies the problem. This book relied on telling the reader things instead of showing them through the writing.

Melody Anne’s second book, Noah, in the Anderson Billionaires series has just the right mixture of romance and anticipation to keep the pages turning from beginning to end. Noah and Sarah’s story has a bittersweet undertone to it that makes it nearly impossible to not want to know what drives this couple. Their hits and misses were penned in just the perfect amount to keep the reader engaged and invested in the outcome of their story. As this series grows, and the brothers each find their own HEA, my curiosity grows as well...what’s next on the horizon for which brother...which one will succumb to love next?

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Original review: https://myshelfbooks.wordpress.com/20...

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I may need a Doctor after reading this book. Or maybe a spelunker? Any person who is able to go inside my cranium to find my eyes is more than welcome. I have rolled them so hard during these days… If no one runs to help me I woulnd’t be offended (you are lucky I’m too blind to see who is denying me help!!). I can admit it is all my fault. When I read the first book of this saga I already could tell this wasn’t my style, but I guess I needed to confirm it. The second Anderson brother is slightly better, but that’s not saying much. Let’s grab a pencil and draw a blueprint for this book!

Last time we were with these guys, we left Noah and Sarah at the hospital after a scary car accident. They are both the architects of the famous project for veterans the Anderson borthers are putting together. It seems that working side by side has made them closer than expected, and Sarah is starting to wonder if it is a good work ethic to keep an intimate relationship with Noah while trying to bring to life the building. This is not a story about love. This is a story about who is more stubborn.

This book doesn’t start that badly. It looked like the consequences of the accident could be an important, and welcome, plot thread and I would have been OK with that. But the author gets rid of it pretty fast and with no mercy. To the point that I am still wondering why the hell the accident took place in the first place if it has zero relevance in the development. One of them should have been crippled by the accident to have something to tell. What story do we have without that? Nothing. The story is pretty hollow. Nothing really happens and there is barely any kind of character development or similar. It is SO boring. I have read it faster than normal to get over this tedious reading that goes nowhere.

The whole book is about that hot potato called love and the people who deny it. There are two roles: the one who wants to get into its business and the one who wants to run as far as possible. There is not a single chapter where both characters are fulfilling the same one at the same time. Sometimes is Noah the lovebird and other is Sarah. Sometimes she is the one who want to escape and other chapters is Noah the one packing a bag to put some distance between them. The worst part is that they change their roles in the least expected moment and behaving in a way that doesn’t make much sense. And that is all the drama this book has, so you can guess this is, overall, a forgettable story that is not going to leave any kind of residue in my memory,

Sadly, that loopy dynamic is not ended in a positive way and we have to suffer one of the worst drama closures I have read in my life. It is laughable, somehow insulting, lazy and pretty much a mess in every aspect. It absolutely killed the meager faith I had in the couple. At least this time the wedsession (I told you guys that word was going to be useful) takes longer to appear… But when it does, its ferocity is such that I wanted to hide under the bed, close my eyes and cover my ears while trying to convince myelf that that wasn’t real. Same technique as with ghosts or other monsters…

The characters are not as bad as in the previous book. Finn is hard to beat, even though his brother Noah took an effort to get the first position. In the sheer amount of a couple of paragraphs I went from having a mildly positive opinion of the guy to hate his guts passionately. He is one of those who drives way faster than permited just beacuse they need it and they have everything under control. Don’t make me express with words where you can stick that need of yours, pal!. If that wasn’t enough, he starts drinking alcohol even though he knows he must drive back to his place. Are you still going to control it even with a bit of a buzz? I like the kind of cockiness that is sexy, not the kind that can kill people. But the final nail in his coffin is the comment he makes at his brother Crew’s place: he trails mud to make sure the cleaner has a job… There is no need of helping to get a house dirty. Dust does all the job for us. I can’t believe this guy is so proud of his humble origins, because that comment made him a total (or should I say utter?) asshole.

I’m running out of venom and there is still a lot that would deserve it: Sarah’s behaviour doesn’t make any sense, Joseph is annoying and creepy, the brothers are waaaay too obsessed with the love lives of each other… Next one in line is going to be Brandon. I’m not sure if I want to keep as far away as possible from it or if my curiosity will snare me again.

Noah :Anderson Billionaires, Book 2
By: Melody Anne

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

If they both keep running can happiness ever happen?

In another book about the Anderson’s we get a look at Noah and Sarah’s rocky love story. And let’s say it’s a very slow burn. The author has me wanting to strangle Sarah because at times she was just a brat. Not only in her interactions with Noah but also about her worth right out of college. She was not a humble character. Then we have Noah and yes he’s easy to like but I really wanted him to tell her off I mean she rejected him several times. These characters are so well developed. I think that’s why Sarah got under my skin because until about half way through I couldn’t stand her. The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout.

Authors Blurb: Salt of the earth navy veteran Noah Anderson is just starting to understand what it means to be exceedingly wealthy. Since he and his four brothers received a huge payout from their long lost billionaire uncle, they’ve been hard at work building a new veterans center and hard at play with the lovely ladies in their lives.

Noah, in charge of designing the center, has been mostly focused on work. However, co-architect Sarah Jennings commands more of his attention all the time. Sparks fly whenever they’re together, but she’s warye ven afraid of love, and Noah isn’t the biggest fan of commitment.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

When the Anderson series first started I read all the books and waited eagerly for the next then I sort of loss track of them for awhile, as the books appeared to keep coming when Joseph the head of the Andersons and in his 80's then found a brother who had kids and now cousins who have kids.

I then got the opportunity to read Noah's story and I thought it was time to dip my toe back into this wonderful world! I did enjoy the book but I also struggled with it because it took me ages to fully get into Noah and Sarah. The book starts after a car accident were Sarah was injured and Noah saying that he can't be what Sarah needs; I then thought we would go back in time to see what happened leading up to the accident but we don't we move on 6 months with the two of them still working together but now as friends rather than lovers as they were before the accident.

The story really was a rekindle of their feelings both of them over coming their doubts and fears - Noah a confirmed bachelor who likes to wander the world looking for the next adventure, where as Sarah is striving to be the best architect she can be and although likes her adventures she doesn't have the wonder lust that Noah does. Noah knows he made a mistake all the months ago and sets about proving to Sarah that he is sorry and they can have a chance but when he gets yet another opportunity to travel will his head outrule his hear and will Sarah be left hurt once again by Noah

This book jumps in right into the middle of the story. Since I haven’t read the earlier books in the series, I wasn’t sure exactly what was going on. Apparently, Noah and Sarah have been having an affair. She works for him as architects in building a center for veterans. He and his siblings just found out some time before the book begins that their uncle is a billionaire and he’s giving them money so that they are not suddenly billionaires als.

The opening scene is Sarah and Noah in a car accident and she’s badly injured. Alright, I think that is going to be part of the plot. But no. Then we jump several months later and she’s all better. The accident is just referred to a few times and that’s it. Now she’s spending her time trying to resist the chemistry between her and Noah. And he’s trying to convince her that they could be something special together. Or at least have some smoking hot sex. So it’s rinse and repeat. He advances, she retreats, and then she gives in to a smoldering kiss. Then she tries to resist some more. I found I couldn’t care what happened to either of them.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Likeable and frustrating

I love reading Melody Anne and this story is relatively interesting. The characters are likeable. But there is very little conflict other than Sarah constantly fighting her attraction to Noah, a thoughtful, handsome, rich, sexy and considerate man. At first I thought it was his relatively aggressive sexual advances, but she returned those actions in kind. Then I thought it was his image as a wild bad boy, but he didn't display those tendencies much with her. She's co- architect with him on the Anderson Veteran Center, she seems to fight that, too. So, she just fights to fight without any context as to what in her background, (bad ex, horrible family or other traumatic experience) results in her initial aversion to Noah. if context is there, it was very vague to me. Of course the inclusion of Joseph and Katherine Anderson, as well as Noah's brothers and Sarah's BFF's elevate the story up a level and creates a family feel while Noah fights for his girl. And fight he must.

4 star review Noah (Anderson Billionaires #2) by Melody Anne

Thrust in to sudden wealth, Noah and his brothers are focused on building a new veterans centre, they work hard and they play equally as hard.
Noah Anderson ticks all the boxes for me; he is strong, protective, most definitely an alpha and although he tries hard to hide it, he loves fiercely. Working closely with fellow designer Sarah Jenning the sparks fly and despite the attraction that arcs between them neither seem inclined to pursue it.

The chemistry between Noah and Sarah built as they struggled through the creative block they have come up against in their plans for the veterans centre. There were times that I was a little frustrated with Sarah and Noah, one minute they appeared to want one another and the next they were pulling away.
Will Noah and Sarah dare to take a chance? Perhaps with a little help from Uncle Joseph they will get the happily ever after they deserve.

A very cute read about two people who seem to be total opposites aren't that different from each other. Sarah is a new architect fresh out of college and is hired by The Anderson family to help with a huge project for vets. Noah is part of the Anderson family, ex military, who works hard. He hardly takes time off for just relaxation and he expects this project to be the very best it can be. Sarah doesn't seem like she can see eye to eye with Noah but their issues lie that they are both hardworking and expect perfection, but they are trying so hard to fight their attraction to each other. Fate seems to step in and give them a helping hand by sending them on small adventures so they can see other buildings and compare their project to them. These adventures bring them closer together and the tension just keeps building until they can not stay away from each other much longer, but can they set aside their pride long enough to make it last or will they have to walk away?

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I love Joseph Anderson and he is such a little sneak as he tries to match up his family with HEA's! This time it is Noah and Sarah and their story is so painful at times. They both are leery of getting close to another and yet they keep falling closer and closer to each other until they realize that they have fallen in love.

This time, it is not one who is reluctant to pursue more than a one night relationship but they both are resisting! I guess if the road to their HEA was easy then they would not treasure their love or appreciate what they have.

At times, it was painful when one would pull away and you just didn't see how they could get back together!

It was great that Noah and his brothers are so close and they can encourage and harass each other!!

Can't wait to see Brandon and Chloe's book - they seem like they are even close to wanting a relationship or love.
