this was sooo good omg. i couldn't put it down (the way i'd literally even read a few chapters during my lunch break at work lmao 🤣). i loved how the story and secrets slowly unravel between past and present and, while it took its time to get there, i was invested throughout it all. obsessed lis will always get to me and that was Yoonsung to a t. 🥹

Buff how to describe Reunion? Easily top 3 manwha´s I´ve read. I hate the tropes in this, but the executions it sublime. Good that I didn´t know about them going in.
The art is gorgeous. A scene can be the same with for a chance of angles a few times, but it conveys so much emotion. This manwha is show not tell at its finest. I cried with what happened to the ML. The MC is so goo, and the pace in wich the plot is revealed? Chef´s kiss. 4.5 stars.

Me estoy meando de risa pq ns si es este libro o no. Reunion ha sido el primer manhwa/bl que me leo y dios mio q cosa más bonita y bien hecha. El arte es una locura, el hilo conductor de la historia es increible y mi niños son preciosos.

a deeply poignant story with beautiful art
i did not cry but i did feel slightly teary eyed at like the second to last episode LOL
i thought the family drama lowk got resolved too easily but like i guess not every family has to be the typical chaebol never see my son again (even though that technically happened but wasn’t committed to fully..)
i really liked the characters and how a lot of them had
depth in some way—many of them, even if minor, had clear motivations, goals, and beliefs
like, it felt like no character was put to waste in this story, they each had their own backgrounds and stories unique to them and to the ml that made them so much more significant to the plot and their relationship with the ml as a whole
and i especially love how yearnful the two leads were for each other, and how the artist was able to depict their longing and separation throughout the piece through lingering touches and wanting stares and breaths held tight
i think the artist (and author ofc) did an amazing job with the world building and the backgrounds, the artist excelling in presenting pacing in visual form and the author telling an equally heart wrenching tale of lovers torn apart
i only wish there were more side stories or smth.. i would have loved to see them truly flourish in domestic life and see ha kyung and yoonsung live a life without the angst and fear and pain of being together.. (more than just having amazing buttsex, which was well appreciated, but i would have rather seen even more touching displays of appreciation and commitment, too)
overall, 4.5/5, it was good, but i think i read too fast so i wish i read slower so i could have cried more and i wish it was longer and i wish we could’ve seen more family drama lowk

So beautiful! The pace of the story is perfect. The way it goes back and forth in the past and present, slowly revealing the plot. It's so perfect, I don't have more words. I really loved this! Definitely will re-read it in the future!

💎💎💎💎💎 | Diamantes porque las estrellas quedaron cortas ante tal obra de arte.
Espero que este sea el manwha BL que leí, en español es "Volverte a ver" y solo puedo decir que es CINE, una joyita desapercibida en este mundo del BL coreano, entre tantos manwha actuales qué son populares pero tienen tramas básicas/cliches con personajes tóxicos, esto fue un abrazo a mi corazón para después me lo rompan y lo armen otra vez.
Es la primera vez que me como muchos plot twist seguidos EN UN MANWHA, yo soy lectora de libros, me he comido muchos giros argumentales en ellos, pero nunca en un manwha bl, me tuvo llorando todo el tiempo cuando ocurrieron, uno tras otro, lagrima tras lágrima, tengo la cabeza abombacha de tanta lloradera.
La construcción de los personajes son un gran aporte a la trama, no se sienten vacios, tienen sus propósitos que los llevan a hacer sus cosas o conseguir sus objetivos, son los personajes más humanos que le leído en un BL, y eso que le leído demasiados.
Espero de todo corazón que algún día le hagan una adaptación a serie, sería mejor que un formato película. Si lo llegan a hacer espero que no se salten ningún detalle, todo es simplemente perfecto, ni siquiera hay relleno, cosa que me sorprendió, todo lo que ocurre es fundamental para la construcción de trama, si quitan algo es como quitar un ladrillo de un casa, se cae completamente la historia.
Si la autora o autor tiene más manwhas o proyectos estoy segurisima qué los leeré.

English Title: Reunion.
This is a pretty dramatic manhwa, and a VERY slow burn. It's got great art, and the pacing is very consistent, but I definitely got a bit frustrated by how slowly the story dribbled out. I was invested in both of the characters, and also really believed their chemistry and love story. The general mood/tone is achingly angsty, with lots of unrequited(?) love/loneliness.
It's told in parallel, with the present overlapping with flashbacks of the past, in almost equal amounts. It's only at the very end that you can know exactly what happened in the past. That mystery is the central driver of the plot; the whole story is an emotional rollercoaster of filling in those missing pieces. However, for me, that just made it especially annoying to discover that, by the end, this was another case of two people refusing to just be honest and upfront because they were too scared of what the other person might say/do in response. They could have saved each other a lot of heartache by being less secretive from the start.
Overall, I enjoyed this, but I kind of wish it has unfolded at a faster pace, or had more of a reason that the two MCs couldn't have just been together from the start. As it stands, it feels like they remained apart for entirely stupid, self-inflicted reasons and should have gotten busy with their happily ever after much faster.

Me LOVE me some VERY green flag yearning fictional men~
This is one of those stories where it's very cinematic. Plus, the paneling for this... I can see that the illustrator tried their best to really capture the emotion in the characters. I actually thought this story would be like tragic (sure, there are some elements, but it also has this kind of warm, wholesome feeling about it (?) But the thing that really took me is the love interest. My standard for men has once again turned ↗️. Where can I find a man like Yoonsung???

Gosh I can finally say that I have a favorite manhwa. I pray that someday I forget it just so I can re-read it and feel what I felt for the first time. This is perfection. Now that I feel empty and full at the same time what am I gonna read when I know that it will not move me like this story.

It was cinematic. How everything was drawn with precision and love. Amazing art, amazing plot, amazing characters. What a rare combination! Loved every bit of it <3
