I enjoyed reading this practical, easy to understand guide for real families. This short-read is just perfect for those of us seeking help in the chaos of life. Holly has taken us on the adventures of her life and lessons learned to help us be better wives & mothers. The way she shares her stories makes this book nearly impossible to put down. So encouraging and insightful. You will come away with many nuggets of wisdom to help you improve communication with your husband, know that you are not alone on this journey of motherhood, and encourage you to trust God in all seasons. Grab a highlighter and settle in.
Holly writes in a very conversational style, honestly opening up about struggles she's faced in her own parenting and marriage, and offering encouragement and practical questions to consider for other wives and mothers. I appreciated her pointing out that we often put unreasonable expectations on ourselves, and that assuming that *others* are measuring us against those impossibly high standards is almost certain to cause problems.
I have been following Holly on-and-off for a few years now. When I heard she had written a book for mommas, I had to read it. And what a blessing it is! It is as though she is speaking directly to my heart. Every subject she touched on resonates deeply with me. But she doesn’t just give comfort with her words, she asks you to question yourself. The answers to these questions will help you find your way. She also has some great suggestions that I never would have thought of. I read the Kindle version, but I know I need the paperback. This will be a book I re-read through the many seasons of motherhood! Thank you, Holly, for sharing your heart!
