Are you aware of what God is doing in your life? He's growing something. . . .
God wants to grow great things in the lives of His people. I Am a Field uses the powerful metaphor of God as the farmer and our lives as the field to show us not only who we are but also who God is and how we can recognize His work in our lives. Interweaving Scripture with engaging stories as well as humor, catch a fresh glimpse of God in your life and renew your desire to experience more of Him and impact the world around you.
Excellent book on reflection, faith, and how to better oneself. The author weaves wonderfully funny personal anecdotes with connections to life and our place in this universe.
Understand the relationship to a farmer and a field. Some of the stories seem to be a stretch to the Biblical application. My lower rating maybe because it is written to more of a male audience. Also, noticed a number of editing errors. Concept good approach simplistic.
A refreshing perspective on life and the goodness and intentionality of our creator. I stopped multiple times through out the book to ponder the great intimacy and friendship that is available to us. The author is courageously transparent and entertaining at the same time. I felt encouraged to continue growing and more convinced than ever that God has a good plan for my life, and he's intentional about it.
A fascinating and different way of looking at religion. I've given up the idea of fasting during Kent but take on extra spiritual reading. I read this book during this year's Lent and was not disappointed.
Entertaining, fun, read, filled with profound truth
The author writes with a lot of humor and fun. The book is quick and easy to read. Yet the lessons taught are Biblical. profound, and can be life-changing.
Great book. Definitely gave me some things to think about and pray about. Listened to the audiobook read by the author. Not all great authors are great readers, but Jeff is engaging and easy to listen to.
