This book has been republished as Ruins of the Galaxy (Book 2): Galactic Breach by J.N. Chany and Christopher Hopper (version 2.0). ***This edition is no longer in print.***
Christopher Hopper is an American novelist, creator and co-author of the best-selling mil-scifi series Ruins of the Galaxy with J.N. Chaney.
His other series include Resonant Sun, The Sky Riders, The White Lion Chronicles, and The Berinfell Prophecies.
Christopher lives with his wife and four children in the 1000 Islands of northern New York. He loves flying FPV race wings and RC planes, performing music with his wife, and traveling to distant lands—physical and fictional.
He's had breakfast with Winnie Mandella, canoed with dolphins in Southern California, kite-surfed in Hawaii, scuba-dived on 19th-century shipwrecks in the 1000 Islands, sailed a yacht in St. Martin, posed with white rhinos in the wilds of South Africa, spoken on national television in Mexico City, performed a concert on a Dutch beach, and climbed the Great Wall of China.

Honor Bound is a strong entry among Christopher Hopper's books. Writing-wise, the pacing builds suspense yet takes its time to dwell on important moments, the fine-grain focus of the world is built as characters interact with its details, and the main characters are genuine (and hilarious at appropriate points). I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a science fiction adventure this much. The long march of Magnus and the Marauders against the Selskrit stands out as my favourite part of the story. Honor Bound sheds some of the Star Wars feel from The Eve of War to stand on its own. A satisfying sci-fi adventure filled to the brim with heart.
This is fast becoming one of my favorite series! Just like book one I wasn't able to put it down. My only regret is finishing it to fast. Can't wait for book 3 to find out what happens next.
The second book in the series does not disappoint. The action is true to the story, never know what to expect next. The characters are endearing hard to choose my favorite.
