4 Star review Raspberry Chiffon With A Side Of Murder (Daley Buzz Treasure Cove Cozy Mystery, Book 32) by Meredith Potts

Audio Review:

I don’t know how the author Meredith Potts comes up with the titles for her books, but I love them. Raspberry Chiffon With A Side Of Murder was a good mystery with suspense, intrigue and enough clues to keep me guessing..

Returning to Treasure Cove to visit her daughter, another murder occurs, but Sabrina is determined to focus on visiting her daughter and not the town’s latest murder. However that of course is easier said than done and Sabrina soon finds herself drawn in to the investigation.
This is another well written story that kept my attention. Narrator Stephanie Quinn did a good job and I enjoyed her performance.

Raspberry Chiffon with a Side of Murder
Daley Buzz Treasure Cove Cozy Mystery, Book 32
By: Meredith Potts
Narrated by: Stephanie Quinn
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
After retirement and living the quiet life, Sabrina goes back to her old town for a visit with her daughter. While there, another murder happens. Sabrina says she will stay out of the once but the case comes to her!
A great, emotional story with lots of feelings of being a mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. Mystery was good but I think the feelings lead this book!
Great narration as usual.

This was a fun book and it was nice catching up with the town of Treasure cove. A lot has changed and not all of it for the good but some things don't change and one of those things is Sabrina Carlson finding herself investigating a murder. The nice thing when you get a Meredith Potts audio book is you know exactly what you are going to get, a good clean murder mystery with plenty of cookies and cake. Probably not a good choice if you are on a diet.
Sabrina Carlson is back home visiting her daughter but is surprised when her daughter gets a phone call interrupting there dinner plans. The phone call was working calling in there newest trainee detective back to investigate a murder, Sabrina had know idea her daughter was leading such a dangerous life and as she wonders around town worrying she can't help but ask a free questions just to make sure her daughter stays safe.
The narrator is easy to listen to and the story just fly's by.

You can retire from murder cases but murder never retires!

This is not the same Treasure Cove that Sabrina and David left behind when they retired three years ago and not all of the changes are for the better. Some things have stayed the same – like murders. A new murder occurs the same day Sabrina arrives to visit her daughter. Instead of a nice long mother-daughter visit, Jessica gets called to the scene. Sabrina is determined to stay away from the investigation but she is willing to give Jessica pointers from a distance and it isn’t long before she is pulled into the case.

It is interesting seeing the series change focus from Sabrina and David to Jessica as she moves into investigating and they move out. As Jessica and her private investigator boyfriend assume larger places in the plotlines, it is giving the series new life and new characters. I am excited to see where Meredith Potts will take the series in the future.

I've read several books in this series and always out of order. I recently read the book where Sabrina was dating her husband and in this book, they are retired. Hmm. Maybe I should read them in order. In any case, I was easily able to follow the story. Sabrina and her husband have retired and moved away. However, their daughter is still on the police force in their own town so Sabrina goes to visit her. Unfortunately, the timing is bad because there has been a murder. Sabrina tries to steer clear of the investigation, but she gets drawn in anyway. This is a cozy mystery and although there is some violence, this book can be read by most people without issue. I listened to this book on audio. I enjoy the stories and the narrator does a good job.

David and Sabrina have retired, moved from Treasure Cove and there daughter still lives there and is in training to be a detective. Sabrina goes on a mini vacation to spend time with their daughter. Many changes have happened to the town since they left. Favorite restaurants aren't what they were. Her house has been painted pink. A murder happens while there. Jessica asks her if she wants to come with her to investigate she says no. Now later she recognizes a man her daughter showed her a picture of a man who is a suspect. He keeps ignoring 3 calls. Eventually she gets involved. The storyline is interesting with believable and likable characters. Stephanie Quinn does the narration. It is a good clean cozy mystery. I enjoyed.

Things are never the same when you go home after moving away. Sabrina finds this out firsthand when she ventures back to Treasure Cove to visit her daughter Jessica. The one thing that does stay the same is there seems to always be a murder to solve! Will Sabrina help the new junior detective, Jessica find the guilty party? Talk about fun! It’s a blast seeing the town through Sabrina’s eyes and having her help with the case is just icing on the cake.. or shipped cream on the raspberry chiffon! This is one of my favorites, maybe because I feel like I have grown up with Sabrina or that raspberry is my favorite, but I really enjoyed this one. Quick, quirky and delicious, Stephanie Quinn keeps it fun and fresh.

Raspberry Chiffon with a Side of Murder (Daley Buzz Treasure Cove Mystery, #32), my eightieth read/listen from author Meredith Potts, After retiring and moving at the end of Cheesecake Bars with a Side of Murder (Daley Buzz Treasure Cove Mystery, #31), retirement life goes on. A cute, well-written & enjoyable clean cozy mystery. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. AS always I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Stephanie Quinn. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. Another wonderful small town cozy with no gangs, terrorists, or erotica but good sleuthing and family involvement. Each book is easily stand alone but addictive! David and Sabrina have retired from their home town and moved an hour away, but their daughter, Jessica, is still there working for the local department. Things are a little hairy because Jessica is in training to become a police detective and Sabrina is fussing but helps out like she used to do for her husband. Good sleuthing!
Narrator Stephanie Quinn is as perky as ever.

Can you go home again?
This was another great team-up between this author and narrator. Sabrina is retired but still, mysteries find a way into her life. She has gone back to Treasure Cove to spend some time with her daughter only to find some changes have occurred in the last three years. A very entertaining cozy and I loved all the twists that have entered into the Carlson’s life. You have to wonder just what she is going to say to her other retired friends from Treasure Cove? I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This series is fun and entertaining. It has been three years since Sabrina and David moved away from Treasure Cove. Their quiet retirement has been a much needed break for both of them. The characters in this story feel like longtime friends that get better with each story. This is a book that needs to be added to your TBR pile.

In Raspberry Chiffon with a Side of Murder, Sabrina Carlson, finally retired, goes to visit her daughter in Treasure Cove after being away for 3 years. Her vacation is quickly turned upside down. This was another enjoyable cozy in the Treasure Cove series, though it did make me long to find and try Raspberry Chiffon. Recommend.

Going home to visit your daughter is supposed to be relaxing, but unfortunately this is not what happens for Sabrina. Once again a murder has taken place in Treasure Cove and even though she tries, Sabrina get sucked right into the case. A fun Murder mystery to listen to and take you away for a while.

Great series......

All though I enjoyed this story, I think I enjoy a romance, like a nice calm mail order bride story. The author always writes a very entertaining and interesting story.

A great read as I expected.

I love Meredith Potts books. There is always plenty of suspects and as usual I was not disappointed. This story also shows that although some things seem to never change , change is inevitable.

Thank goodness I finally finished this series! If you like depressing with a very pessimistic main character then this series is for you. Each book reads like the one before it. It's as if the author is following an outline & only the names change.

This is a audio I listen to and the different characters are wonderful. It's a continuing story of a husband and wife and their daughter who now has turned detective in a small town who he's a lot of murders. You get to meet the town's people and help solve thus murder! The narration is by the author her self!
