Winter Locke, still reeling from a broken engagement with her high school sweetheart, is dreading the holidays for the first time in years. An emotional setback seems likely given that she also has an upcoming class reunion in which seeing her ex-fiancé is highly probable. While lamenting her blues to her best friend, he tells her she should go and finally put the past behind her. Winter begins to have hope for love again and wonders if he’s the reason why.
Chad Turner, never big on commitment, is tired of witnessing Winter waste tears on a man he’d always hated. He's also a firm believer that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone new. Before she sees her ex again, Chad proposes to take Winter out on a date to remind her that there’s love after heartbreak. What she doesn’t know is his determination to prove that he’s the only one for her.
I want my readers to escape their realities and embark on a journey of self-exploration and love when they delve into my books. I have loved reading fiction, thrillers, and romance for years. Although my original (and still) writing interest was YA and self-help books, I received a surprise text one Valentine's Day, and wrote the very first chapter of a romance novel that day. And I became forever inspired to write contemporary and new adult romance - with a twist.

The Winter Date by Tiye Love is about Winter Locke and her best friend Chad Turner. Winter is heartbroken from her high school sweetheart breaking off their engagement. Winter and Chad have been friends since Junior year of college. They work at the same elementary school, she’s a 4th grade teacher and he’s assistant Principal. Winter’s ex is trash, I did not like him at all. The friendship between Winter and Chad is beautiful, like he really held it down for her. When she starts showing signs of interest, he moves swiftly to let her know how he feels. Their pretend date is the sweetest and then he goes to her high school reunion with her as her date. The sexual tension between these two on the dance floor was crazy whew 🥵 Their relationship was so easy and Chad really wore his heart on his sleeve. Certain things were left unaddressed and that’s where things between them fell apart. I can understand wanting closure but dang I wanted to fight Winter. I wanted to fight Chad too, although I understood where they were both coming from. I wish the ending was a bit longer but I know we’ll be seeing these two again in future Locke sister books.
The fact that it was about 11 years and Jared hadn’t married her should’ve been a red flag
Winter is fronting. She is gonna get with him. It’s only a matter of time
“Winter and I went to high school and college together.” After a decade of dating and part of which being engaged and that’s how Jared describes her to his new woman. BIIIITTTCCHHH. She needs to be over him immediately. He’s trash
Yes Chad. Let his punk ass know
Don’t wimp out winter, go for yours.
“At least I got to spend a moment in heaven with you and for that I’ll be eternally grateful. Just see yourself out. Happy New Year, Winter.” Chad gonna make me cry
Make her put in work Chad
I like Chad and winter as a couple more than I did autumn and Quincy. Chad was a good bff, but over Chad and winter weren’t an exciting couple that I felt the love/connection.
Looking forward to read about the wild sister Sping
Winter and Chad had been best friends for several years. He watched her go through the motions for several years with her man Jared until the end. They finally got their time to be more than a season.
This was actually a really good friends to lovers romance. I will say that Winter started to irritate me a little toward the end, but this was a really cute story.
Winter Locke is devastated after her fiancé leaves without an explanation, leaving her emotionally wounded. She then turns to her best friend Chad Turner for help recovering from her heartbreak. With Chad helping her, their relationship changes from friends to lovers. This book was frustratingly good. I’ve never been so stressed from a main character, then I was with Winter. I think I rolled my eyes out of the socket at one point. Thank goodness for Chad. The way he loved and protected Winter definitely saved this book for me. His friendship was admirable and it transferred over to their romantic relationship. However, I would have liked to see more of their relationship on the pages. The majority of the books was filled with Winter doing the absolute most. Her obsession with her ex was horrible to read. She couldn’t even focus on being happy with Chad because of her obsession with getting closure with Jared. I wanted to grab her and shake some sense into her. Despite Winter’s shortcomings, I still enjoyed the book. I loved the relationship that she had with her sisters and I was happy that she was able to gain some closure from her mother. I felt the author did a great job painting a realistic story of a woman struggling to move on from her first love. Although the ending was lackluster, I will definitely be continuing the series
Winter had me mad for a minute. I was thinking if she don’t see through Jared foolishness. Chad is a very patient man. His patience’s paid off. Winter finally realized who had her heart 💕
Chad and Winter have been best friends for years. They shared ups and downs, good times and bad. Chad likes to play the field and Winter was engaged to her boyfriend of 10 years when he suddenly calls off the wedding. While talking to Chad about it he informs her that her boyfriend never treating her right and he could. He talks Winter into going out on a date with him which ends up changing everything between them. Read the book to find out how.
Ok Ms.Tiye Love you've gotten me hooked on these Love Sisters now!! When I thought about giving up on Chad after of numerous of times of reaching out with NO response..... I thought of how long and how many times she must've took him through this also just being in the friend zone and loving her from afar. Then she got a taste of the Turner Experience for one particular Locke Sister " Hey pretty Lady" and there was No Turning back. So I ain't too proud to beg especially knowing (spoiler alert) she was expecting their love child growing inside her. I kinda seen that coming they were slipping up too much & too casual about it. Well just So Glad I got my HEA out of this story and can't wait for so much more like what's up with the moma & daddy? Looking forward to Summer's story and Can Not wait for Spring's story either. You're one of my top Authors Tiye Love read and hooked on All your stories and characters!! 😘🤗😘🤗
Chad and Winter's story was really good. I liked how Chad was there for Winter and that their friendship blossomed into a relationship. Jared was complete trash and that moment of closure Winter had with him revealed how much of a jerk he really is. I liked that Chad and Winter worked together and loved working with children. I liked that the lack of strong males being present in schools was brought up. I liked that Chad was a role model and respected leader in their school. The conversation that Winter had with her mom about how she stepped up after her parents divorce was a really good part in the story line. I liked how the the author filled in any gaps from Autumn's story.
I really like this series and I'm looking forward to reading Spring and Summer's stories too!

I love a good friends to lovers story. Especially when that friend has a good heart, puts you first, and is fine too! Chad and Winter were made for each other...and through Tiye's very creative storytelling, I recognized that during their first encounter in the story. Which means no one else stood a chance! The perfect read for the holiday season! Thanks for the gift of sharing this very cute story Ms. Love!
I like how Chad took Winter on the perfect date to show her how special she was and how he made her feel sexy, desirable, and confident in herself. Chad was everything that Jared wasn't and Winter could be herself with Chad. I hope that Chad and Winter have a son since it's so many females in their family. I can't wait to read Spring's story because she's a male in a female's body with how she love'em and leave'em.
Once again Tiye Love did not disappoint. I love how Winter and Chad’s story intertwined with Autumn’s, I was able to see her story from another perspective. I loved the twist in the story and I felt all the emotions of Winter, Chad and her mother. Great story I cannot wait for Spring’s story.
I love these sisters. Autumn stole my heart first. I loved reading more of her story from a different perspective. In book 1 I felt sorry for Winter not fully knowing the details between her and Jared. Now knowing the details I’m so proud of her. Chad is her person! Such a necessary friends to lovers come up!
Chad was a sweetheart 🥰 he really made this book for me. Winter was a bit wishy-washy with the whole Jared situation which I kinda understand, kinda don’t. I enjoyed the development put into each supporting characters, really loved the sisters relationship with each other. Great job! I can wait to read Spring and Summer’s story.
I feel in love with Chad and Winter immediately. Their friendship was so awesome. Chad adores Winter and would do anything to make her happy. Their love was realistic and just blossomed. I love the family interaction as well. Looking forward to reading Summer and Spring books when they are released. Kudos to Tiye Love on another wonderful love story.
Winter and Chad, the best of friends. Sometimes we look so hard to find something we overlook the most obvious places. And sometimes we friend zone people that could be so much more. Some people realize what they have and don't think they'll ever lose it, Jared was so used to Winter doing his will that he thought he could always get her back should he want her. I'm glad she came to her senses.
Absolutely beautifully written love story. I felt every emotion imaginable flow through Winter and Chad to the very last word. Thanks for the great journey.
Friends to lovers always makes for an interesting storyline. This one was so well written and developed. I love the family relationships and how the love grows between the two.
The Winter Date is Book 2 in A Love for all Seasons. It is the love story of the third Locke daughter, Winter and her best friend, Chad Turner. It is full of very distracting, grammatical errors.
Winter has been with one man, Jared, since she was 16. After 10 years of dating and living together for two years, they were engaged to be married. The day after Valentine's Day and two months before the wedding, he ends it with no explanation.
She falls apart and her sisters couldn't pull her out of her deep depression. However, her best friend, Chad, was always there for her and had been for 7 or 8 years. They met in college and now both worked at the same school. He also had been in love with her but knew she only had eyes for Jared.
He helped her get over Jared by showing her how to date. He also attended her 10 year class reunion. She and Chad had run into Jared earlier with a woman. Jared was furious that they were together. They knew her ex, Jared, would be there with a woman. After seeing her with Chad, Jared wanted her back.
Chad ended things with her because he knew that Jared wanted her back and he thought that was what she wanted. Chad knew Jared would hurt her again. However, Winter knew she loved Chad but needed closure with Jared. Jared didn't understand why she didn't fight to keep him. Jared never knew that she wasn't fighting to keep a man who didn't want to be kept. She knew Chad wanted to be kept and she was going to fight for him.
Two months later, she made her grand gesture to show Chad how much she truly loved and wanted him. You'll have to read the book to discover what happened and the unexpected secret that was revealed.
P.S. One of the most interesting thing in this book was that Chad was brother to Ty Turner who was a teammate to Michael Carson, the wealthy quarterback. Surprisingly, Michael was best man at Ty's marriage to Jamila. They were in another series by this author that I loved. No, that wasn't the secret.
Once again, I’m not a fan of “YA genre” & Winter’s character (similar to Autumn’s) tested my patience. I suspect there’s a fundamental recurrence among the Locke sisters…misinterpreted “daddy issues too”🤦🏾♀️‼️Consequently, “The Winter Date (A Love For All Seasons) - Book 2” was a continuation of their family’s poor communication & dysfunction. Nevertheless, “The Winter Date …” was a good read, but the irony that infidelity was attributed to Jared like Mr. Locke unsubstantiated. …let the blame game commence🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️‼️Honestly, neither Winter nor Jared was ready for marriage. However, as previously stated, Papa Bear (was the Locke family’s scapegoat 🥴), Winter finally needed to hear the truth from the horse’s mouth. …Hmmm, for a stay at home mother, academically your four daughters excelled. But, she failed to prepare & or equipment she daughters to be woman & to navigate the idiosyncrasies of life. Yup, crickets from the corner Mama Bear 🧏🏾♀️👀…again 🥴‼️Meanwhile Chad, ideally Winter is your one. She’s the “Lady in My Life”. But do you really want those responsibilities & life 🤷🏾♀️🧐⁉️
Winter and Chad's love was bound to happen. They were already very close and knew everything about each other. Winter just had to wake up and get over her ex. Her ex did her a favor by calling off the engagement. This is the second sister to find love. I'm looking forward to see who Spring and Summer romance is going to be.
I love these types of series with sisters or close girlfriends it's interesting to see different tastes and likes. It's also fulfilling when everyone is happy and in love.
Yes, please read start with the first sister Autumn in Autumn falls and go from there. A definite recommendation.
Loved this story At the very beginning my heart went out to winter empathizing with the hurt she felt due to Jared’s unexplained termination of their ten years relationship and calling off the wedding. She was trying so hard to get herself together but she just couldn’t see the true love that was right within her reach. She couldn’t see the forest for the trees so to speak I won’t say more because I do t want to spoil it for future readers☺️. It’s one f those books that you don’t want to put down until you finish it.
I thought that Autumn & Quincy were a sweet couple but Chad & Winter aka ChadWin were so friggin’ amazing!! Their story was told so well. The had a great relationship as best friends…& what romance lover won’t fall for a friends-to-lovers story. My heart is so full after read both books but I think this one, so far, is the most touching.
I’m still wanting and needing the POV from the other characters, especially the main male character 🤷🏽♀️ Winter irked my nerves with her back and forth. Stuck on a phuck boy who never deserved to share the same space as her. I loved Chad♥️. He was the best bestie and was so deserving of being loved whole heartedly. That brake he took from Winter was needed to show her the value he adds to her life. Glad they got it together in the end.
Winter"s story OMG!!! My emotions were all over the place with this one! I have never read a series so fast, averaging a book a day! Winter had to go through it! Chad was the ultimate gentleman but I wanted to thank him a time of two! It was a wonderful story that I highly recommend!
Loved Chad. He stepped in to support Winter as she tried to get over her relationship with Jared. I liked when he told her he would show her how to date. Winter almost lost a good thing when Jared decides he wants her back. This was a great story. I highlight for me was Ty being Chad's brother and mention of Michael.
Friends to lovers is one of my favorite romance tropes, so I was all in for Chad and Winter. Winter got on my nerves a time or two, but she needed time and closure from a previous relationship so that she could love Chad completely. Their story was well-written and had me experiencing a few emotions.
