Dr. Aubrey Wilson has a secret. This secret has brought her to a small town in Tennessee where she thought she could start over. Her plan is to live and work in a town where nothing ever happens. She wants to exist in relative anonymity and keep her own demons at bay. One Sunday morning, an abandoned baby behind her clinic changes everything. Aubrey works with the town's chief of police, Noah Winters, to uncover the identity of the mother, only to discover that this little town holds more secrets than she could have ever imagined. From the town's mayor and his silent assistant to a group of high school girls who are bound together by a dangerous promise, every day brings more revelations. As Aubrey fights to ensure the health of the baby's mother, she begins to open herself to friendships and her heart to Noah. Through her developing relationships, she finds that everyone has secrets and some of them are deadly.
Being the only girl in her family, in fact the first female born into her father's family in sixty-five years, Sandy found escape from Matchbox cars, smelly bathrooms, and a general disdain for anything feminine, in books. Eventually the characters in her own head, clamoring to get out, found their way to paper. "Wait for Me" is her first novel and represents her love of history, romance, and a touch of paranormal.
In her real life, Sandy works as a speech language pathologist and moved to her dream town in Florida from the Midwest with her husband, two sons, and spoiled dog. She dreams in full length movies and tries her best to find quiet times to get them onto paper.
