In the months following the events in West Antarctica, commentary on the Vid would have people believe the world is already on fire. Obviously far from the truth, it has allowed the Acian Movement to dial up their efforts as the EGI continues to flounder. With each passing day, more and more flock to their cause as the mood of the people shifts further into the red.
Not that the Invisible Hand has anything to do with it.
They’ve been quiet in the time since their spectacular beginning, but do not confuse their inaction for idleness. If luck holds, their next assault should be foolproof. Assuming they had any to begin with, the road forward will not be as smooth as it appears. For little do they know, they are already being hunted…
Jim Kozak is one of those people who’s always found the villains in stories more interesting than the heroes. They always have the coolest gear, secret bases, and are generally better written than the farm boy (or girl) who’s about to come ruin their day. That’s why he writes characters that could easily be the villain of someone else’s story – and some that actually are – because sometimes evil can only be beaten by another, arguably righteous, evil.
He currently resides in Glenview, IL. It’s a nice town attached to the Chicago sprawl that is quickly being infiltrated by a number of dastardly yoga studios and independent coffee shops. He secretly hopes that someone opens an artisan barbecue and burger joint nearby, because that would just be grand.
