Recluse ghost writer Harper Blume has spent most of her life hidden in the shadows. All of that changes after Sergeant Beck McCaffery saunters into her life with aqua eyes that see everything she tries to hide. The intimidating man pushes Harper until she has no choice but to begin penning a life unwritten.

This is one of those novels that is hard to step away from. Lowe managed to once again captivate me with her storytelling. I love how her characters feel completely real and are not cookie-cutter or perfect. They have issues, hopes, and I delight in seeing them find their way into grace and truth. This novel is edgy, humorous, touching, sweet and tender; dashed with a good bit of spice! Couldn't put it down tonight until I finished it!
It's as if Lowe got a glimpse into my very soul. Harper's insecurities are so similar to my own. Her story is a gentle, loving reminder that the ONLY thing that fill the darkness is a relationship with Jesus Christ. We can try to bring in light with a whole host of coping mechanisms, but only Christ is our Light in the darkness. I love Beck and Harper's so very much! LIFE UNWRITTEN feels as if it is my own story.
I just finished this book and I can honestly say that it was amazing. The heroine has so many issues, self worth being the main one. she abuses alcohol and is a recluse. Then, her world gets turned upside down by handsome manly man who is a marine. It's a beautiful story of him showing her tough love and gentleness as well. The hero made me swoon on many occasions. This book will be giving me a book hangover. It was that good.
Another amazing book by this author. She really knows how to dig down deep and make us feel so in touch with her characters. This book shows us readers that we all have our addictions, we are all scared of something, and it is hard after being one way for so long to see how people really see us. We all need friends in our lives to pull us through and need more than anything God. Thank you for showing your readers that it is never over.
But I loved this book! I am always drawn to books that feature a writer as the main character which is why I picked this one. I really enjoyed the story. And it was humorous as well as sad. I could relate to Harper in some ways.
-‘“What others think about you shouldn’t matter. Don’t let anyone have the power over your self-worth.”’-
-‘‘Life isn’t about avoiding the bruises. It’s about collecting the scars to prove you showed up for it.’”-
-‘“You need to get a handle on your insecurities. You also need to realize you’re the one who is playing judge all the time with slinging up my faith in my face and painting it falsely with the holy-roller jabs.”’-
-‘“You pushed your way in and sought out the darkness of my soul… Not giving up until filling me completely with light, making me see for the very first time. Life. I see it now. Clearly. Unwritten life that longs to be written with you. I can only see it with you.”’-
I really enjoyed the humour in this novel. The author had me in stitches, laughing. I loved the heroine’s snarky comebacks. The ‘hawt’ romance - whew! Steamy!! I love that this author’s stories are so original and creative. They aren’t like everything else out there and it’s so refreshing! The characters were amazing, I loved their relationship. They felt so real, so down-to-Earth. The fact that the hot, fit, army guy was attracted to the girl who didn’t have a perfect body, had me cheering! Yesss! Definitely going to be reading this story again. Now that I’ve discovered this Author, I’m going to be obsessively loading up my kindle with her books! Every time I read one of her stories, I feel like my soul has been rung out and I’m completely squeezed with emotion. This is an other excellent book. Highly recommended.
This was a good story but I felt I was kind of mislead about the content. I don't mind references to God and church here and there but this felt like it ended up being a great big message. It was disappointing because I thought the story was so good and I really liked the two main characters. I dislike reading religious themed stories because they feel too preachy and that's how this ended up for me. God appeared to be the answer to everything. She admitted to alcoholism and depression and her love interest's answer to this was to force her to go to church with him. He should have made her go to AA meetings or sign up for the therapy that she so desperately needed. I just wish that this book would have been marked as religious so that I would not have been taken by surprise. I couldn't even finish it completely.
I've struggled rating this book and I've loved others by T.I. Lowe.
This is a Christian book but woah the sexual content is super high - it's true they don't have sex, but lust and all the physical emotions are thoroughly described/implicated. I've read comments before about Mills & Boon being Christian girls' porn: I haven't read Mills & Boon but this could definitely rate as Christian girls' porn. I don't feel like I'm a prude, but I certainly have different standards to where a Christian man should allow himself to go with a non-Christian girls and say, "It's okay. We haven't done anything wrong."
But, although the book was 90% lust, the story premise was good and there are some phrases definitely worth quoting.
This book was WOW!! I would say that this books is a hopless-romantic type book....
The way the story was told kinda reminded me of a Nicholas Spark movie, (I can't compare when I haven't read any of his books). I must say that I enjoy being single, but after reading this book. Im like damn, I need to join a boot camp, so I can get my own Beck plus lose weight on top of that..
Also, I can say that I see myself in Harper, and maybe that is why I really enjoyed this book.
I do recommend people to read this book, especially those who are hopeless-romantic type of person, like myself!!

I really enjoyed this book. I am a Christian but I find most Christian fiction boring and I feel that I am reading a lecture. This book didn't try to beat you with the bible and it touched on a lot off feelings that some people who felt they were forced to go to church feel. I was able to reflect on my life choices and enjoy a good read that even had a bit of humor thrown in.
Loved the story of ghost writer Harper Blume and her amazing, though few, friends. I know from experience, it's hard to get over phobias that hold us back from developing our true selves. This book is well done and well written. I'm glad for the Christian theme, which was definitely not overdone.
As a person with an eating disorder to hide from things in my life I find I can relate to Harper. Beck's unending support andd love for Harper is the true fairytale. His unending support and guidance and unrelenting direction towards God is true love. The heavy "soul ache" is real and the relief from giving it up to God is like no other feeling ever.
I truly like this author and the cast of characters with flaws. This one was a bit more edgy than I like, but we are talking addictions here and they aren’t pretty. The “club” scene at the end didn’t thrill me at all, hence the 4 star rating. There was no need for it.
I absolutely loved this book! I haven’t laughed so hard at a story in years! The story had such a good balance of fun and light heartedness while still bringing heaviness and depth to the table. I loved the very happy ending full of love and God. No spice, real life, hilarious moments, God centered, no profanity. Do yourself a favor and read this book!
Extraordinary Redemption Story with a Spicy Romance
T.I. Lowe has done it again; created remarkable characters who are slightly imperfect, and seeking something to complete their lives. “Life Unwritten” is a shining example of how much we need each other and need God to fill the empty places. Excellent read!
I loved this story from start to finish. I'm going to read all her books. They make you laugh out loud and also make you cry. I feel like she's someone I'd want as a friend.
T.I.Lowe has such a beautiful gift for writing. Warning: This book does address some tough topics and has a fair amount of sizzle but the redemption and healing within the characters is beautiful to watch. This book is relatable and realistic which is always refreshing.
I loved that this book brought God into the story but I just found it hard to get on board with Beck and Harper’s relationship. Seemed to evolve too fast but didn’t have any romance or courting/dating to be so serious so fast.
I really like this book. The characters are flawed, and they know it. They try to deal with their junk, sometimes in very unhealthy ways. But the thread of forgiveness & redemption is strong.
This is truly a wonderful addition to my collection of healthy books, good for your heart, your mind and your soul! Well written, well organized and I am thrilled to have discovered this author!
This book is one that makes you feel like you know the characters and see it play out in your mind. The characters are so relatable and interesting. I loved it!
