This is just my luck. The one RH I actually enjoy is the one where none of the other books are out yet.

I really loved this one. Luna was awesome. I wish there was more action though, it just seemed like nothing happened besides her trying to form bonds with her mate. I enjoyed all that but it just need more ommph. I'll be checking out the next book.

Effort put into this review.

It all started off so well...
and then went all wrong.

I thought she was a badass female killing it in the Elites. I thought we'd get some more training sessions or trials... but no. It all went into mate stuff and suddenly she was so super special etc etc everyone was drinking blood from everyone. It was all about the bonds and not in the way I usually like.

I should have liked it but it was just so cliche.

"After several moments, it felt as though the blade was no longer a separate entity but an extension of my own body. Like she had been mine forever, and we had somehow been reunited. Crazy, I know."

Reminds me of The Lost and the Chosen

Well this was fucking amazing.

Gives me all the good vibes and i adore it reminds me in the best of ways of the lost sentinel series another RH with a badarse female.

Fuck me i love RH especially awesome RH theres a lot of it out there thank the gods but very few are as captivating and wonderful as this.

HOW IS THIS YOUR FIRST NOVEL? HOW!?

Fuck this is like that time i read amanda bouchets kingmaker chronicles and was blown the fuck away and then went to check out this amazing authors what would no doubt be multiple award winning series only to find out IT WAS HER DEBUT FUCKING BOOK.

Ive been blessed.

To think another amazing creative goddess could be finding her courage and penning my next fuck me sideways experience in this very moment and not even know it makes you glad to be alive. How delightful.

Very pleased to find out you are now an Aussie as an Aussie myself this pleases me immensely. Dont ask me why i have no clue must be some tribalism type thing but finding out you also have chronic illnesses pleases me -that came out weirdly fucked up- i wouldnt wish chronic illness on anyone but as a sufferer of those fucking debilitating bastards myself who also finds solace in books and Fantasy Romance RH especially well it was like finding a kindred spirit.

I fucking knew i liked whomever waa behind the magical words but just finding out one of the many reasons why was that much more fun.

Next thing i know youll be liking cats and chocolate and ill get all paranoid and have to start wrapping alfoil on my head.

Also fucking well done on the sexy time scenes! Like especially given you arent the same genre of sexual love as luna ive read some pretty mundane and uninspired romantic/bedroom scenes by very married with kids ladies which now that i think about it i feel bad for them like guess they need more RH in there lives anyhoo its 5:30am and while i will always be reading>sleeping as you can tell my brain is off its rocker and well as the best of times its off in fairyland (like thats a bad thing!?) But considering i need like 10hrs sleep like im a toddler and not a fully grown female this also means im at that slighty existential delirious giggly but brain dead stage hence the batshit crazy review.

I intended to devour this series so no pressure or anything but more please. Lol.

Like i need to just fall into this book world and live there for a bit also gimme goddess powers please and a dragon or wings or really any magic would be great healing magic would be the best but ya know that or a bunch of mates in the animal planet descriptor and not the aussie slang way.

Basically id like to be luna moon pleaseandthankyou.

Arguably am already a luna something atm lol

I forgot my train of thought but basically yay you! good work! you did the thing! dorky double thumbs up. I wish you all the spoons and idk what chronic demons you got being bitches but i hope they are exorcised to hell etc. 💖💖💖 id say be strong but you obviously already are! So keep your chin up or your crown will fall off and put on sunscreen even in winter cause this aint rainy ol england haha. For real though skin cancer aint cute.

I am FLOORED.

First of all, this was a debut novel by Winter Rose. And I am FLOORED. I think you all know by now that I am a very big reverse harem fan. After I read my first one I fell head over heels in love with the trope. “I’m a #whychoose when you can have all of them?” Kind of girl 😂

But it’s books like these that really solidify my love for not only RH books but the fantasy genre as a whole.

This story was well crafted, the world building was top notch, the characters were relatable and the guys were SWOON WORTHY.

This book was perfect. Truly. It has everything I love, shifters, werewolves, sirens (yeah girl, sirens...MALE sirens), fae, elves, and my personal favorite...vampires. But not only does it have all that, it’s also DARK. It’s bloody and sexy and GOD the angst.

Luna Moon is one of those characters that I want to have a drink with. Just sit down and let her vent about her life because I know that girl has some STORIES. She started out alone and confused. She was a warrior but she was mocked and feared. Until she wasn’t anymore and a freaking goddess appeared in her place. Her arc was so perfect from beginning to end.

And her HAREM? are we KIDDING? Those giant supernatural bastards are glorious. Alpha males, the strongest of their kind, loyal, and fiercely possessive, these guys stole the show.

Fast paced, sexy, completely unique, full of supernatural powers and sexy guardians. This book was EVERYTHING. I can’t wait for book two.

Best read of 2019 for me!

Rose killed it!!!! This was beyond mesmerizing. Not one time did I find a lull in the story telling. Literally on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Luna is easily in the top 3 of toughest heroines I have read. Never had a moment of irritation with her. Usually with female leads they do something incredibly naive and stupid....Luna was kick ass from page one. Such an amazing character.

This novel does not lack for MCs at this point there are 4 solid MCs. All of them I love! All dominate! All possessive! All extremely sexy! Vulcan has my heart at the moment but I have a feeling they will all own it before this series is over.

Storyline is off the charts! Rose clearly took her time laying this out to perfection. No random moments. No repetitions. No moment where I had an urge to scan. Gah this was incredible.

I. Can. Not. Wait. For book 2!!!!

You go Winter Rose 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Happy reading! DD💕

Maybe more like 3.75, but I liked this.

It has insta love/lust, but I didn't find it bothered me as much as it normally does. For one, there is no actual sex yet, so that helps the relationships not feel to absurdly rushed and the bond they all feel towards her is an integral part of the story, so I guess this made me tolerate a trope that normally has me eye rolling.

I liked Luna. There was a few moments where she was a bit fraustrating, but the vast majority of it was authentic to her character. My biggest issue with her was the whole 'I'm such a leather clad bad ass and I don't do girl stuff like dresses thing', which I always find a bit annoying, as if you can't be a leather class bad ass and enjoy wearing a nice dress and not think it somehow weakens or degrades you. But this was a very minor thing.

I liked all of the guys are they were well distinguished from one another and had a reasonably well characterised compared to a hell of a lot of RH out there.

The world building was decent as well.

So, in summary, if you can put up with the fated mates trope, and Luna being a little annoying occasionally, then I would recommend this book.

The Last Vessel is one of those easily predictable books in this genre, in addition to that it weirdly discloses a lot of the chunky plot points without much of fun fare in the beginning chapters itself.

Luna as a character starts off very strong. She had my attention when she is kicking ass in the chapters before she leaves the wolves territory but once she meets the guys it's all led downhill quickly. Her character stops holding her own and seems to pretty much float around in the story as more like a vessel merely for the plot than a vessel who is a main character.

The guys are over protective alpha males sure but it's the speed at which they reach that place of being completely smitten with Luna that kills the mood. Ehre is an asshole for barely few scenes before they are bonding already like whiplash much? The whole thing of having no friction with Luna while they are developing a relationship just made this so bland for the reverse harem aspect.

The plot itself is served out so easily taking the mysterious aspect with it that it hardly leaves anything to make me curious and keep reading. It's not even the question of being predictable anymore because the book already tells you so much so quickly that I'm just left feeling sleepy and putting down the book more often than seeing what might happen next.

2.5 stars (3 rounded up)

I finished this book at 2am because I couldn't put it down. I even dreamt that I was in a reverse harem and men were falling in love with me left and right. So yeah, this book really spoke to me... or I was just incredibly tired and sleep deprived.

However. I disliked a lot about this book, or rather the characters and occurrences in the book. Very few things upset me more that condescending men who think they can decide when the heroine is ready to have sex. I have very mixed feelings about the fact that the heroine is still technically a virgin by the end of this book. While I get that the guys are trying to make sure she's okay, shouldn't it ultimately be up to her to decide when she has sex?

To top it off, the men were not very protective or providing. The heroine is starving for the first half of the book and I wanted to see someone offer her a freakin' buffet. Another thing that annoyed me was how much information the heroes kept from the heroine. I get that it adds suspense and they need to get to know each other or some crap, but I personally didn't enjoy the delay in sharing that information.

My last rant has to do with the heroine. At the core of her character, she just wasn't badass. She is super powerful, a great fighter and destined for great things. She survived her abusive upbringing and at the end, I can see her come into her own power. But the constant "shoot me now," "I wish a hole would swallow me up," "kill me now" moments were torturous. That constant inner cringe was annoying and painful to read.

Also hated how she was a virgin while the men are all experienced, some very experienced... It makes sense in the story, but I still don't like it.

All that being said! I really liked a lot about this book. I mean, I must've because I will definitely be reading the next book.

If you're into RH, I definitely recommend checking this one out.

Absolutely loved it!

Loves the story, the world, and most especially the characters. The FMC is strong and doesn't let anyone push her around. Despite having a rough life, she doesn't dwell on it. She is amazing and resilient.

Vulcan - big, tall, sexy dragon
Eros - Mr. Irresistible pretty boy siren
Magnar - delicious king vampire
Ehre - grumpy sexy elf

Hot guys (dragon, vampire, siren, elf), a tragic heroine goddess, paranormal world headed towards turmoil, AND a prophecy saying how said heroine goddess can save the paranormal world while bonding with hot guys? Count me in. Loved everything about this story.

Why did I put off reading this for so long? And more importantly, when will the next book be out?

GET THE AUDIOBOOK ITS PHENOMENAL

A new author to me, Winter Rose had me hooked from the first scene and pulled me further into the story with every page.

The writing style was so easy to read and flew through this book in a day.

The characters we likeable and the love interests were hot, the right amount of Tropey and unique, and I was invested. I LOVED that though the MMCs were brothers in arms and bonded together, they weren't all keen for their brothers to mate with her. In a lot of RH novels I feel like the suposedly alpha AF males are too ok with sharing the FMC. Not the case in 'The Last Vessel' there is drama and boy water contests and growling and jealousy. what can I say I loved it. And loved the guys more because they seemed more genuine than other MMCs I have read.

The one and pretty much only 'meh' thing was how "Not like other girls" Luna was. It was mentioned a few times through the story, enough that I noticed and it slightly annoyed me but the story was so good I skimmed over those bits for the most part. I get that she is a warrior and has been an outcast her whole life, but it's OK to like more feminine things as well, or at least not deplore them.

The casting for the narration was PERFECT!!! Tess Hanna was a great Luna and brought her to life but I have to say the range shown by Lucas Webley for every male character made them jump off the freaking page. I will definitely be looking for more narrations from both.

If you love your RH PNRs with hot as Hades fated mates, Gods, independant powerful warrior FMC, and an all around fun and exciting time. this book is for you.

Luna Moon, abandoned at the door of the priestess at the Koray pack. She is not wolf, she’s raised to believe she is a worthless hybrid. She is the best at combat. She wants to join the league and be the best. Which she is. Little does she know she is so much more than she knows. Out of her guardians, Vulcan is my favorite. I love where this story is going and I can not wait for book two. That ending though?!? I can not wait to see the change in her.

4.5 stars for this amazing story.

This was definitely epic. So much was happening it's hard to fully explain. I can't say what's happening because I fully believe to enjoy this, you'll have to read it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who's interested in stories of destiny and romance intertwined! Also, I'm a sucker for a tough heroine.

Hook, line and sinker... Winter Rose got me addicted to her story so quickly I should probably be ashamed. And I would be if it wasn't so worth it.

A badass heroine with a mysterious past, overprotective heroes with their own vulnerabilities, goddesses taking matters into their own hands... all those elements together made the perfect recipe for an amazing and riveting book.

Luna was practically abused by the people meant to protect and care for her. But she didn't let her circumstances decide for her path. She made it herself and with flair and style. Even when she could have said enough was enough and give up, she forged on and I was with her every step of the way.

Winter Rose did such a good job and there's so much that can happen in the next books. I'm really excited for what she has in store. But hopefully there won't be to many books as my nerves certainly won't be able to handle it. I'll still wait for the next one anxiously.

5 Ground Shaking Stars

I absolutely love this work by Winter Rose. It was breath taking to experience!

MAJOR SPOILERS.

I am super sad that we haven’t seen Balhar rescued yet. He seemed steeped in despair and I nearly couldn’t take it.

I do love all of our MCs;

Luna Moon encompasses all my most treasured characteristics when it comes to a female lead. Her strength of character and resolve, matched only by her physical strength. She’s obviously a goddess in the beauty department. I’m excited to see what powers develop for her in the future.

Eros is the Siren. He’s obviously lust incarnate with the manipulation of water, gifted from the part Hades played in his manifestation. Always very light hearted, except in the most extreme cases.

Ehre is the Elf. Elusian royalty, dripping in arrogance and contempt when he first deigns to grace us with his presence. He is lucky official mate numero uno. A man made lonely by life’s weight and circumstances, he hides his pain behind tall walls. Which fall when he is enveloped in Luna’s love. Anyone else going first would have drastically changed the layout for the story, for the worse.

Vulcan is the Dragon. Desperately loyal and protective to mainly Luna, but also his “brothers” in arms. He is the first one to really embrace the connecting bond between our dear Luna and himself. And when I mean embrace, I mean it drives him. He is her saving grace. These two are much alike.

Magnar is the Vampire. We first meet him not even realizing how important he is, in the form of Luna’s final trial. Magnar is equally as possessive. I honestly wish there was a little more from him in the story he seems to be the one that shows through the least of all the men.

In this world, created by Winter, we follow Luna. A Vessel, the final Vessel, created to save the world essentially. Meant to be the saving grace for a corrupt world. She is meant to hold back Hades’ release from his imprisonment in the Underworld. Where his power grew exponentially during the previous war between the Vessels. Her Guardians, the men listed above, are meant to protect and assist her in accomplishing this goal. But the path to success is not nearly so simple. Balhar, the Wolf Shifter Guardian, has been captured and tortured for the past 20 years. Thankfully, and not surprisingly, having never have spilt the beans. Not only is she missing one of the necessary men, the goddess’ informed her about, but it seems one has left “The Council” and sided with a rebellion, an act that goes against everything she is meant to fight for. Even though it seems the council is a weed in dire need of removal. An intricate and convoluted web of misdeeds she must interrupt to successfully oust all evil doers and bring a long awaited peace to the lands. Simple, right?

*Please excuse me if I am wrong about Falrouk being on the Guardians. That’s how the book interpreted for me. But when author was explaining his actions I got a little turned around. So I could be wrong. Too lazy to go back and fact check now.*

Great book, if you haven’t read it? You should.

Exciting!

A wholly intriguing introductory novel that sets the stage for a unique world with creative rules. Some things familiar while many things don’t. It blends pantheons and mythologies, dipping here and there to craft a tale that ends in a cliffhanger.

Pros:
- The FMC. She’s fascinating and individually wrought. At times she’s strong, then other times so nervous or wary it’s cringe inducing.
- Luke. Ok, so he’s not part of the guardian mix up.... but there’s something about that wolf that tells me he’s a major player.
- Most books of this ilk do the big identity reveal as the climax. Nope, this got that out of the way at 50%, the rest is her dealing with it, with them and The Who Done It if betrayals past.

Cons:
- Not always sure about FMC, though I love her. Character inconsistent.
- felt like big points were rushed to or through.

I enjoyed this, an apparent first book by the author. I can’t say there’s anything new here with respect to RH tropes, but I appreciated that the world and how it links to the plot was fairly well thought out.

The romance was a little too fast-burn for me, but that was noted by the author (medium burn). If you actually count the days the Mc knew her guys, you’d only use one hand. I get the fated/mated trope speeds things up plot-wise, but it really ruins my ability to invest in the characters when they get together so quickly.

There is a lot to be interested in here, and I wish the author has taken the time to flesh some things out more before the Mc was derailed by abs and blood.

Perfect

OMG! This book was just perfect! I love everything: the FMC, Luna, the story, the setting, the guys, everything!
The book started directly with action: the last trial of Luna. No boring introduction where the FMC is sorry for herself.
I've been totally hooked and read it in one day! ♡ ~('▽^人)
I love also the fact that the bond didn't mean love at first sight. Luna didn't accept the bound right away, she wanted to know the guys before accepting and maybe one day falling in love. It's much more realistic than "oh, you're my mate? Oh, then I love you".
Just look forward reading the next book!

Fantastic first book !

Here we have a fairly new premise of an old tale. Mythological creatures are pulled towards Luna as we find out who and what she is. The writing is superb, the character development and story moved with ease. There were some great moments drawn out, some witty snarks from our heroine, and lots of slow burn moments for our would be suitors. Cannot wait for book 2 and will be waiting with bated breath.

I'm trying to finish the books in my 'currently reading' list and my 'to be finished' list. One of the things that really sucks about this is that I keep finding out a couple of these series are unfinished. I don't think I'll be reading book 2 after reading the reviews. I'd rather end things on a good note than have it ruined. This had SO much potential. It's really disappointing.

Ooof, seems I started this in June of 2022 and only finished in 2025.

Luna is a shifter... maybe. She's been raised by a wolf shifter pack but she has been mistreated by her pack all her life as she wasn't a full-blood wolf shifter. Her way out is to become a member of the League, but when that falls through, she doesn't imagine that the Elites, the strongest forces in their worlds would come to get her. You see, Luna's fate is more intertwined with the Elites princes and king that she knew.

I haven't had a 5-star read in a while, and this book blew my mind away. As soon as I was done I had to get my hands on book 2.

First I am sad that I read it all in one day but I guess that's actually my fault for not putting it down and going to sleep. That cliff hanger though >.< grrrrr...not as bad as some though. I think the only reason it bothers me is that I have no idea what happened. I mean I read the last two pages three times and the only thing I can think of is when she collapsed the goddesses were giving her more power or something? I mean when she said she could feel each vertebrae pop I thought maybe that meant she was turning into a dragon...so yeah the end slightly confused me. Anyone wanna help me out with that part? Because it doesn't exactly say what happens right there just the actions but not the end result other than she stands up straight and leaves kinda. Anyways!!!!! This book was really amazing for someones first book!! So you go girl. I was shocked when I read the notes at the end saying this was Rose's first book because it was so well written. Good background noise, the dialogue wasn't forced it flowed nicely, great detail without being overly detailed and making us bored, witty but serious, it was just really good. I am reaaaaaalllllly reallllly looking forward to the next book, I mean I want it out like tomorrow but I have no problem re-reading this book when the second book comes out.

Amazing! Absolutely loved it! It has everything you want in a reverse harem. A strong female lead with wit and humor, sexy men that are also strong, dominate and possessive. They cherish her, want to protect her, and speak to her with such reverence. All the things with lots of steam!

When I read the afterword from the author, I was saddened to read she felt her dreams were crushed due to a few chronic illnesses she was suffering from. Writing this book gave her purpose and helped her get through it. It was her escape. Well, I’m so thankful and grateful that she wrote this. Because as the reader, she allowed me to escape too. Thank you for writing this book and please don’t stop dreaming.

Yes, I highly recommend this book. 5 stars because it’s a book I’ll read again and again.

WOW. Just wow. I don't even know what to say other than I'm OBSESSED with this book. Seriously guys, I loved everything about this story. The characters, the world, the Greek mythology....everything. RH's are my guilty pleasure, and this on definitely hit the spot! Luna is one badass heroine and her harem is to DIE for. That's all I'm going to say.....just do yourself a favor and add this one to your list!

Side note:(Of course I flew through this only to find out the second books isn't even out yet 😭)

As always,

Happy Reading❤️

Very good debut novel

There are parts of the book that I felt really didn't add to the plot but then at the end of the book it all clicks about all council information and the back story. Luna has spent her entire 20+ years of life being called a mutt and being degraded so she has a hard time feeling important and accepting of her prophecy. The men are a handful my goodness they way beyond normal alphas.
