“Ethan, what’s that lying beneath the leaves?” I asked after I had stumbled over something. I hated it when dead bodies appeared in unlikely places.

When you work at a candy store, the sky is the limit for making new flavors. Mia's mother is making caramel filled turkeys while Mia is working on discovering who killed local business owner, Fagan Branigan. Can Mia help her boyfriend, Ethan Banks, find the killer and keep herself alive at the same time?

This Thanksgiving, there will be murder and sweets on the menu.

Halloween is celebrated all year long in Pumpkin Hollow. There are no paranormal elements, just good clean fun! And a murder, of course.

Thanksgiving

Another great read in the series. This book brings Thanksgiving to the fullest. With all it's depictions of family and food and fall weather, even black Friday shopping.

CARAMEL KILLER is book #12 in the Pumpkin Hollow cozy mystery series, set in a town where they celebrate Halloween all year long. These books are very short and can be read in 1-2 hours or less. I often recommend them online when readers are having surgery and looking for light reads that are enjoyable and aren’t too complicated to enjoy during recovery. In Caramel Killer, Mia and her boyfriend find a body just before Thanksgiving and Mia investigates.

I have enjoyed many of the mysteries in this series, but this one had some pretty big plot holes. In one of the first chapters, the heroine and her police detective boyfriend are literally sitting on top of the dead body while having a romantic picnic in the woods, not noticing it’s there for an hour, despite the body being fresh and the guy having died from a gunshot wound. Then Mia folds the picnic blanket up and steps on “a tree root” underneath the blanket which is the dead guy’s arm. Like… how is there no smell with a day-old corpse that was shot? No horrible stench from the blood? I found this implausible that they could be sitting on top of the dead body and not notice. A good series overall, but this book needs another editing pass for plausibility. 3/5 stars.

I'm continuing my summer of "Read Whatever You Want," and I've added a side quest of "Get Your Money's Worth Out of Kindle Unlimited." Admittedly, I seldom ever have trouble with that second part.

This author is one of the primary reasons that I got and maintain a KU account. I love her books, and I have a long way to go to catch up with reading all of them.

This book was no disappointment, and I enjoyed the chance to get into the fall spirit a little (since I LOVE the fall).

I didn't really have a guess about who the killer was this time. I honestly read for the enjoyment, and I let the sleuth do all the work of figuring out the mystery.

As always, I recommend this to my fellow cozy aficionados, especially if you're in the mood for something seasonal that's a light and easy read!

Great book!!!!

I love this series!!!!!
At the end of Halloween and the start and near Thanksgiving Mia needs to do Christmas shopping, but has a picnic lunch with Ethan in the woods outside of town. At the end when they get ready to leave Mia stumbles onto finding one of Pumpkin Hollows resident merchant in the woods covered with fallen leaves. WHO? WHY?
That put Ethan in work mode and now has to find out what happened and why?
Now Mia gets nosy and has to find out. There is a lot to this person that are a surprise to many. And that means alot of suspicion to quite a few people that had a problem with him.
Who knew?
Thanksgiving is coming up fast and Ethan and Mia need to find the perp.
The wife is distraught over this when she should have been more understanding about his addictions.
Now you need to get this book to find out. You won't be disappointed!!!!

OKAY MYSTERIES I SEE YOU!

this is not my typical genre, but I devoured this. Mia was so valid in her noseyness,I’d be her too. Asking questions, going places she had no business going, just do the most. But I loved it

I kind of knew how it was going to end.but having the whole book feel like a game of telephone had me so intrigued. It truly felt like a small town and how everyone has their nose in everyone’s business and someone’s always got something to say

AND ETHAN DUDE,if that investigation got ruined it’s your own fault you were just spilling tea SIR. ever heard of idk confidentiality??

I really enjoyed it,short and perfect for dipping my toes into a genre I NEVER read.

Thanksgiving mystery

I'm really enjoying this series. This particular mystery as at Thanksgiving time, instead of Halloween-which the rest of the series is mainly focused on. I love the characters & would definitely recommend this series.

loved it

Always a good read. Love the characters and small town, it’s some place that I think I would like to visit. The candy shop items always make me hungry. Can’t wait to read the next one.

I enjoyed the writing style and the mystery that needed to be solved. The small town dynamic was relatable and I enjoyed the two main characters. The author did a good job of offering several suspects… but it felt like the book ended abruptly. I would continue reading the series.

I had read another book in this series so picked up this cozy read for the holiday season. Welcome to Thanksgiving in Pumpkin Hollow. Mia and her boyfriend, who is a police officer, are out on a picnic on a beautiful fall day when they discover the body of local business owner- Fagan Brannigan. Who killed him? Mia is determined to help figure out who committed the crime. Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries.
