Very basic stuff from someone in an obvious place of great privilege; it was not for me, but others may find some useful tidbits throughout.

Jammer.

This is a terrible book. The author/narrator sounds like a 14 year old coming in from school and just spilling out their day in a never ending stream of expletives and drivel. There is no stopping her. It goes on and on and on, blah, blah, blah.

Her favourite words are shit, arse, arsehole, fuck; and she uses them constantly. I feel like an aged parent thinking there is just no need. She calls the readers babycakes and bitches. Her waffle knows no end. And it's just continual rubbish with no substance.

Her BFF is the universe!

Occasionally she says something sensible like writing down your goals. But it's drowned out by all the other rubbish she talks. Writing down goals is not a new concept, and there are no new concepts in this book.

I should have read the reviews. Utter tripe.

I found this book very useful with lots of practical advice especially for those of us who give into fear a lot and like to stay in our comfort zones.

I would recommend it for young adult onwards. I will definitely read it again with a highlighter in hand as lots of valid points and practical tips for everyday living and chasing your passion.

I also loved how Noor shares her personal journey of how she conquered her challenges to get to where she is today and inspiring others to do the same to live a happy and fulfilling life.

i will admit that this book definitely lost me early on because of the focus on spirituality. i prefer tangible proof of things. but i still gave it a chance knowing this - i know manifestation works for some and the power of mindset shift is common in self-help. i went in open-minded, despite this.

i did like the exercises and the practice of verbalizing and writing things down as, imagining your ideal self etc. even as someone who suffers from severe anxiety, i felt this book did an okay job at not minimizing the role that can play and encouraging one to think differently.

honestly, something that really lost me was just the sheer place of privilege this author is from. even more frustrating is how she almost acknowledges it later in the novel as she brings in the hierarchy of needs as an example. i do think, if you’re living a life in poverty, this book wouldn’t be of help. it basically assumes that you’re living wrong and if you reorganize your brain, your dreams will come, but that’s not always possible if you’re struggling just to put food on the table?

the kicker tho was finding out she’s hardcore pro MLM/direct selling. this is an absolutely corrupt practice that preys on the vulnerable in society. after revealing that, i simply couldn’t take anything serious and cannot in good conscience recommend this book.

Noor is absolutely a breath of fresh air in spiritual books. This book mixes mindset work along with manifesting and personal development. It led me to join her JFDI (Just Fucking Do It) Academy, which is filled to the brim of Masterclasses, meditations, monthly lives, access to mindset coaches, and a whole group of amazing women who are all supportive of each other and have the same positive attitude about life.
Noor is able to relate to the reader and inspire you to live your best life without making you feel like you're being judged. She has business experience and is trained in mindset coaching - so her advice is extremely valuable to all areas of your life whether it be professional or personal. She has the ability to light a fire in your spirit and put a smile on your face - all while (gently) challenging you to go out there and just fucking do it.

The book proved to be incredibly unhelpful... like seriously 😭 Despite my hopes that it would assist me in overcoming procrastination, it ended up doing the opposite. It ironically became yet another distraction from my school work…

To my defence, the author had a good sense of humour! It was way more entertaining than any of my biology stuff 🤡

Love Noor’s Positive, Inspiring & Driving Vibe! Gave me the confidence to JFDI & get out of my own way! Made me truly realise each and every one of us is capable of something amazing if we JFDI! This book is the perfect start to your journey, if you’re thinking about buying it JFDI! I’m lucky to now be a committed part of the JFDI Academy which I’ve noticed I’ve started to transform parts of my life already with her easily laid out, practicable, successful strategies! Thank you Noor & the Team, I’m eternally grateful!

I really enjoyed reading this book. Noor gives some great advice and tips in a fun and enjoyable way. Her anecdotes and informal language help her to relate easier to the reader and again makes what she says more relatable and achievable. The book also comes with worksheets to aid you in the new you. I would definitely recommend.

I picked up this book purely for the title…that was obviously a f*cking mistake. Noor has some interesting opinions about the “universe” and “karma” but the majority of the book is utter nonsense. The book should be titled, “just f*cking manifest it!” Do not recommend. Not sure how this book was even published?! ⭐️

Lightweight and very "law of attraction-y" but I also admit I enjoy these kinds of books - even if I don't buy everything they are selling I enjoy the pep talk quality and this is a fast, easy read.

Skimmed the rest of the book then abandoned it once it started talking about manifesting about universal intelligence. Not what I was expecting.

The book in 3 sentences/summary:

The law of attraction meets psychology.

Transform your life by realising your potential.

Act on this potential by understanding and embracing who you are and what you really want.

My impressions:

Noor has done a good job at creating a very accessible book specifically designed (or so I presume) to introduce sceptics to the law of attraction.

She melds together both this and psychology to present a compelling argument for the strategies within the book. Although I would say it’s more 80% law of attraction and 20% psychology.

Just F*cking Do It is an easy read and although I wish Noor went into more detail with practical strategies, I’m sure they can be found on her website.

Should you read it? (who would benefit from this):

I’d say if you love the universe, law of attraction talk then read this book – you’ll love it. Similarly, if you’re at a relatively early stage of your personal development journey, you’d also find this book useful.

What I personally got from the book:

Not too much. A lot of the personal development topics I’ve already explored for a number of years so there was nothing new there to get me excited. Although I have to say, it’s always nice to be reminded. If anything, it served as a personal development top-up.

Easy to read and digest, Noor’s conversational writing style keeps the reader engaged and I especially loved the activities at the end of each chapter to help the reader implement changes in their own life.
Noor is such and incredible person and her teachings have changed my life for the better!
