Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author L. Wilder brings readers a new installment in the Satan's Fury MC- Memphis series. Get ready for this MC alpha to melt your heart.

Club life isn't for everyone, but for me--it was everything.

I was a man who'd always demonstrated loyalty, pride, and grit. My brothers and those around me knew I was someone they could trust, and that I would always hold true to my word. They knew I'd never waver or show signs of weakness when it came to my commitment to the club, and as the president of Satan's Fury Memphis, I knew exactly what I had to do.

Then, I met her ... Samantha Travers--a woman who completely consumed me and I knew there would never be another.

This is my story. My Beginning.

The first five chapters of Gus were originally published in the WSJ/USA Today bestselling anthology Love, Loyalty and Mayhem. A second half has been added to the story giving readers a chance to see his perspective on events that occurred in Gunner's book. The plot is often similar, but coming from Gus, the vision is different.

This was intended to be a short novella, but Gus demanded more. It shouldn't come as a surprise. After all, he is the president of Satan's Fury- the most notorious MC in the south, so ladies get ready. This hot alpha president will have you begging for more.

HEA with no cheating or cliffhangers.

Gus was book six within L Wilder’s Satan’s Fury MC Memphis series and should be read after book five, Gunner.

Gus was the President of the Memphis Satan’s Fury MC. He was their strength, leader and sound mind. We learned quickly that he never had an Old Lady because his heart had already been taken years ago.

Samantha was August’s mother (Gunner, book five). She met Gus in her twenties but it wasn’t meant to be.

Wilder took us back to the beginning to explain how Gus and Samantha met. She then fast forwarded twenty five years and took us through the same plot from Gunner but with an abridged version. Simultaneously, she took us to the heart of the matter - Gus and Stephanie talking through the past to manage the present.

Gus was a quick and fast paced read. I had read the first few chapters from Love, Loyalty & Mayhem (an anthology whose profits went to the organization, Bikers Against Bullies) and I had read Gunner, so I pretty much knew the storyline, but Wilder filled in the gaps with additional emotions and details. I loved Gus and Stephanie and hope to see more of them in the series.

Wilder also took the opportunity to introduce some additional characters and plots, which showed promised for future books. Up next is Rider and I can’t wait.

Another winner in this on going series!
I loved this story from cover to cover and it was so easy to fall in love with these characters from the very beginning.

Gus is a guy who is easy to love.He is very protective of those he loves, sexy as sin and all alpha, dangerous and he made us laugh and time or two but, he is also one once he has given his heart away to the one he loves above all else is for life.

Samantha was beautiful and sweet and kind and loving and of a free spirit at heart and one to once given her heart to the man she loves its for a lifetime to.

This story was filled with a lot of ups and downs and more than a few surprises that kept you glued to the pages the entire time. The story was also filled with angst and heartache and blackmail and also sacrifices. My heart ached for this couple as you new they were doomed from their very beginning but, deep down they were soulmates for one another but, another would never let them be.

Overall this was a really emotional tale and where fate works in mysterious ways in order to reunite a couple who should never have been apart.Samantha and Gus had awesome chemistry and were hot as heck together. We loved all the characters as some made us laugh and others made us cry a time or too but, we can't help love them all there totally love-able.

I love a story when a love stands the test of time and it was so true for this couple.
"This was a downright heart melting read for us!"

OMG Finally! I was so worked up for his story, since I read Gus novella in Love, Loyalty & Mayhem anthology and snippets in Gunner. I couldn't settle and wanted to know everything about Gus story ASAP! I had my theories about why Samantha left, and I wasn't happy with what my mind was coming up with. Learning the true, I'm not sure it made it better or not. Do I understand it? Again not sure. I feel there may had been other ways, if Samantha just didn't let fear to rule her. Maybe she could had turned that situation backwards.
And of course we shouldn't forget, that Gus wasn't just ordinary guy. He was part of MC and he doesn't think 'traditionally', so to speak.
Maybe... Maybe.. But, I guess, it doesn't matter anymore. What was done, its done. No changing that. What's left is, what Gus going to do now? Can he forget feeling betrayed and things Samantha didn't told him?
Gus such a great Prez and even greater man. He deserves the world. So, I hope he will choose path, that will make him happy.

I have always been madly in love with this author’s MC world. This one was different. It has a bittersweet element to it that was unexpected.

This is Gus and Samantha’s story. They were introduced in Gunner’s book. Ugh as I said before, plan for a different kind of read. My heart hurt for the majority of this telling. Hard choices were made and this couple was separated for years. Surprises were revealed that caused pain and disappointment.

Yes this is a cryptic review cause I don’t want to give anything away. Read it and you will experience a gamut of emotions. I am a bit of a wreck and feel somewhat haunted. Oh this author continues to bring on the SEXY with this story. Wink.

Oh yes you will get a big tease in this book with possible upcoming characters and storylines. Eek! So good! Happy Reading!

If you read Gunner, you are probably like me and wanted to know Gus and Samantha’s story. How did the woman he love get away? Why was she in a loveless relationship? Why didn’t he know he had a daughter?
And all those questions were somewhat answered in Gunner’s story.
But now we have first hand knowledge of what went down. This story read a bit different to me. Usually, Leslie has me feeling like I’m in the story. This whole book felt like I was being told the story. Not a bad thing, just different.

I really enjoyed this one - readit in one sitting.
Can probably read this one on its own, but I think you should read Gunner first. (If not the whole series.)

In L. Wilder's next installment in her Memphis Satan's Fury MC she brings the story of an integral and well liked character to this series in Gus.

Readers were given enough peeks into the life of Gus, the president of the Memphis Satan Fury's chapter, in the previous works in this series to pique interest in his elusive past and to merit giving him his own story. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and Gus was an impressive one. Having lost the love of his life, Samantha Travers, to mysterious circumstances his undying devotion to her memory was heartbreaking and admirable in its devotion. Gus acknowledged that he lived what many might consider a questionable life but at the end of the day he was able to look himself in the mirror and know that he could go to sleep with no regret over his actions. Samantha Travers saw with more than her eyes the man that Gus was never coloring her opinion of him with stereotypes and others judgments. Samantha was a quiet understated heroine with an inner strength that often went unnoticed but gave her a resiliency few could image or compete with. When her sacrifices, that cost her and Gus their relationship, were revealed it was heartbreaking and the angst and guilt that both felt was incredibly moving. The love and loyalty that this couple shared was indestructible and inspiring.

This author effectively bonded her readers and characters in this story. To read her work is like being in the moment with her portrayals offering a one of a kind experience and creating a phenomenal reader commitment. The story of Gus and Samantha was a sentimental and genuine love story with depth. L. Wilder mixed the perfect amount of hurt and an abundant amount of love for a HEA that readers will hold dear in Gus.

*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*

Delve into the world of the Satan Fury as secrets are revealed and decisions made as to whether you can forgive that one person that you missed so much that you can't breath without them! This is the story of Gus - President of the Memphis Chapter and the Love of his love Same!

I have loved the Satan Fury series and the men o the Memphis chapter hold a special place in my heart!

I was so pleased that Gus the President of the MC finally got his book - you knew it was coming after reading the previous book 'Gunner' you don't need to have read it to enjoy this book but I would; in facted I would read the whole series as it is free in KU..... what more could you want!

Gus 25 years ago was sent to Memphis to set up a new chapter of the Satan Fury there he met and feel in love with Samantha both were young and in love and thought they could be together, but Samantha comes from a wealthy family and when her mother found out who she was with she blackmailed Samantha with a video that could have put Gus away for a very long time. Nobody said opening up a new chapter came without some blood shed.

Fast forward 25 years and Gus now runs a very successful MC when in enters August a young 25 year woman who's young daughter Harper has been kidnapped (Augusts story is told in 'Gunner' and this story sort of gives you some of that story but from Sam and Gus's POV). August has been sent to Gus by her mother.... yep you guessed it Sam to help get her daughter back. Time is running out to find Harper but Gus will do everything in his power to get her back and finally have the answers it needs fro the woman he hasn't forgotten about in over 25 years!

Originally published in the Love, Loyalty and Mayhem anthology, this story completely blew me away. We were introduced to Gus and Samantha in Gunner's story, and I wondered then, if there was more history behind their interactions. I knew there had to be, but was curious to how they came to be where they were. Little did I know, it was explosive!

Gus is all about his club. His club is his life, his brothers are his family. When he gets the opportunity to move to Memphis and expand his club, he is honored to be given the position, and works hard to prove he is worthy. On his arrival he meets Samantha, and the feelings she rouses in him rivals his loyalty and love for his club. Regardless of their feelings, life pulls them apart, and I wasn't sure if they would find their HEA!

This book had me on tenterhooks right from the get go! It was unlike anything else I've read, and I totally enjoyed reading about the beginning of the Memphis Chapter! It was fun to see what they had to do to earn their place! I'm glad to finally know Gus and Samantha's story. They went through so much, endured so much! This was a fantastic story, one that I couldn't help but want to read again and again!

Finished as in DNF! I knew , I just knew this wasn't a book I should read. The sample did not grab me, I didn't feel anything for the storyline or characters. But I stupidly clicked read bc I need a new book. Not 30% in and I'm done. I don't like the characters Insta love, Insta your mine bc I don't care about them. I don't like the storyline where rich people try to act better than others and try to force, in this case Samantha, into doing something she doesn't want to bc her family is "better" than a lowly biker! Blah done not wasting my time, moving on!

I don’t think I have ever read an author or a series that is so emotional and realistic yet, passionate and romantic. This story is just that, it has everything a reader wants in a romance story but with a gruff alpha MC story line.

Gus is the president of the MC and he lives for that life. He lost Samantha once and he is not about to lose her again. This story is a roller coaster of emotions with the most beautiful HEA. I could not love this story more; this author is magic.

There is so much to this story that it makes the reader disappear from reality and become a part of these characters lives. I loved the heart break and the loss, the love and the redemption. It was just pure perfection! This is a second change romance for the ages and I hope you give it a chance. This is a standalone story in a larger series and I highly recommend it. I received an ARC and am leaving and honest review. I also bought the anthology that had this story as part of the collection.

description
Gus was very different from previous Satan's Fury books. It was a really interesting mix of retelling parts of Gunner and also giving so many new elements.

I found myself liking Gus more after reading this story. I didn't dislike him before, but getting to know him better just made me like him more.

I liked seeing events from Samantha's point of view also. It really helped me to understand her better seeing things from her side.

As usual this story was well written and had all the usual things I've come to love from this author. And once again she gave a story that I really enjoyed and also has me excited to come back for more.

I would recommend this new addition to this series to fellow MC romance readers and fans of a good second chance romance. And I can't wait to see what's coming next.

WOW L. Wilder did it again for her readers with the story of Gus and Samantha. The chemistry between these two characters takes us on an emtional joy ride. Tears, laughter, heart stopping, gut wrenching, page turning unable to put the book down feels. During Gunners story we had a glimpse into the history as well as a tease of these two characters and what life threw at them over the years. To be able to take one amazingly written story and bring to life so many characters as L.Wilder does in all her books shows the reader just how dedicated this author is to her fans and her work. The passion behind every book along with the beginning of a new story leaves the fans wanting more and we are never disappointed with the Satans Fury family. Gus is prime example of alpha male who protects those he cares for with fierce loyalty and swoon worthy compassion. This book HAS.IT.ALL

I've been hanging for this book for ages and when I read the snip it of it in the Love, Loyalty & Mayhem book it had me even more excited to read Gus and Samantha's book.

Well what can I say L Wilder has killed it once again. This book was AMAZING!! I couldn't put it down and read it in one day.

Gus is just wow he is a strong tough man aswell as a softy at heart. He loves strong. I felt for him not being there to see his daughter grow up but it was good seeing them connect after all the stuff that happened. And for him to have a special bond with his grand daughter just melted my heart. I can't wait to read more in all the other books.

Needs editing. Page 51 and page 53 were the same. almost word for word. The author needs to find a new verb besides “consumed”. Everybody in every book is consumed with worry or lust or emotion or need or .......... well you get my drift.
I am a timeline freak. I can’t help it. In Clutch’s book I read
“Gus was in his late sixties, older than most in his rank”.
In this book “Augustus Peterson, born in Piedmont, Washington, in 1966.” That would put him at 54 years of age at the most. I think authors who write series should keep a timeline/name spreadsheet.
The story is good, sex scenes are a little cheesy, as they are in all of her books, but I am still invested in this series.

Rushed Repeat

Gus is the background story from the previous book in the series, Gunner. It was explained well in that book and was not needed as its own storyline. This was rushed, poorly written, and was not what you’d expect from Wilder. I overlooked a few minor typos in the first few chapters, but was really turned off by an obvious cut & copy paragraph repeat at the end of chapter 6. I’ve read, and enjoyed, all of the Satan’s Fury, Memphis books and will read anything else published in this series, however; this one was completely and totally skippable.

Ok storyline and should have had a proofreader

I'm torn with this book. I liked Gus. He was your typical MC member. Loyal to family and friends. I had a hard time dealing with Samantha. To an extent I understood why she left but she didn't have to stay gone so long.
Their love story was sad but they were able to make it work in the end.
The biggest issue I had was the lack of proof reading in here. Several times names were wrong, paragraphs and entire pages were duplicated

I enjoyed getting to see where Gus and Samantha began. Their insta love was fun to watch. Gus and his alpha maleness and Samantha with her prim and proper upbringing makes for an interesting mix. I mus say that L. Wilder Satan's Fury book covers and cover models are among some of the best ever!!! If I could choose a dream team of sexy men...I only need to pull out the boys from SFMC and all is well with the world ;-)

Y'all I knew I was gonna love Gus but man he even surprised me! We go back to the beginning of how him and Sam meet what all happens and its fun to recount all the little things the date nights, all the first and then sadly her leaving him. But when we finally meet Samantha you learn quickly she has many regrets. These two have many things to over come can Gus forgive her, does she wanna leave Nashville? Im glad these two finally get it right.

Wow! Editing needed

On my Kindle, at the 28% mark, I found myself reading the same paragraph. I went back a few pages and I was right - the same paragraph was repeated just pages apart. What is up with that?! I'm not reading any further. Very poor editing.
