Bibbit is a little frog who sometimes forgets how to swim―but he's a jumping expert. He can jump very high, very far, and in many different ways. Although this is a great advantage, he feels nervous about what the day will bring; he knows he's not perfect.
Join Bibbit on a journey through ten ordinary but special days, in which he takes life on, enjoying every moment. This is a charming, illustrated chapter book and wonderful read-aloud, full of rhythm and resonance.
Bibbit is a frog who has forgotten how to swim. His frog friends try to teach him, but he gets confused. His tadpole baby sister tries to teach him, but he doesn't have a tail anymore. Bibbit might not be able to swim, but he loves to jump! He jumps to the highest tree to collect a banana. He jumps up to help squirrel collect nuts in the trees. He even jumps high enough to touch a rainbow.
This book is divided into chapters of around 7 pages each. The writing is perfect for children who are just learning to read simple chapter books on their own. Each chapter tells a separate little story about Bibbit and his sister.
Each story is sort of random and doesn't always have a concrete ending. Some of the plot is left open to the reader's imagination. The style reminds me a little bit of the Winnie the Pooh books, sort of dreamy and aimless.
The illustrations are watercolor and ink, and are rather messy on purpose. The art style is whimsical. Each illustration is full of bright colors and really brings out the comedy in the story.

From a Taiwanese author/illustrator, this simple chapter book follows a frog on various adventures. Bibbit is enthralled by jumping, and he jumps at every opportunity he can find. But even though he began life in the water, he feels anxious about jumping into the water and trying to swim. The various chapters follow Bibbit as he goes on an unusual picnic with his sister, Little Frog, picks nuts for a friend, and goes in search of Little Frog when she decides to explore the city. Although he is afraid to leave home, Bibbit finds the courage to do so because of his fears for his sibling. There is a charming, understated quality to the story and to the illustrations, but some of those short moments that are captured might benefit from some expansion or a clearer connection.
This is a really nice story where there's a fog named Bibbit and he forgot how to swim and all his friends tried to help but in the end they just argued about the right way to swim, this is a nice story where a frog bibbit learns how to swim and he's also a really good jumper. Bibbit struggled a lot how to swim and later he went to the city to meet someone.
