This is the second book I have read involving the nightmare penitentiary.
This series is paranormal prison and involves various authors writing on a loosely based theme.
This one involves Sirens and Its Reverse Harem.
So firstly I didn't realise that this was not a complete story rather than the start of one to be continued at a later date, I thought we were getting a complete novel.
Then I thought the blurb itself was totally misleading and didn't correlate with what was happening a tall.
Yeh Selena was sent to the prison but it wasn't an assignment more of a punishment and she wasn't on any gung-ho mission to free a species she was just trying to survive day by day in her new nightmare existence.
Also, I know Selena was a siren and as such attracts all sorts of unwanted attention but I found it highly tiresome that everyone and their dog wanted a bite of the cookie.
I also, unfortunately, didn't feel any connection with any of the characters and found this choppy and at times a tad confusing with no clear and concise direction within the storyline itself.
I finally decided to throw in the towel at 61% when a certain intimate scene came out of left field so abruptly and rather than running for the hills Selena was actively encouraging it though she had no idea of her fellow inmate's name even.
This one was a bust for me and I will not be continuing on with this story any further though I do still plan to read more set in this Nightmare prison world.

First half is fine and enjoyable, then I think whoever edited had a stroke lol. Second half has typos, wonky format, a few time continuity errors and garbled dialogue lmao I like the story though, but man it needs some editing.

This is a tricky one. Start of a new series, rather than a standalone. Has the potential to go dark, but at the moment its okay, if not a little annoying. After reading the book, the blurb makes no sense. The fmc is a siren coming into her powers, groomed by her mother and vampire scum Julian to be the vampire’s pet. After giving her virginity to someone else she’s locked away for a year. Not much is happening apart from the intro to the characters, sex and a teaser for Raven Kennedy’s story. Apart from one, the supernatural types for the guys is still a mystery. Feels a little like cheating rather than RH at the moment. The more of this series I read, the more I get curious about the warden. Unsure whether I’ll read the next part or not.

The vast majority of this book is the authors describing how hot different men are. Like, I’m talking 5 page descriptions of hotness for at least 2 of the male characters. There is very little plot happening here. We get a bit at the beginning, no plot for the whole middle of the book and then a reintroduction of plot at the end so that we can have a “to be continued”. There are some good world-building descriptions, but it didn’t meet my expectations for the first book in the NP shared world.

Can’t wait for book 2!

Set in a shared world (penned by several authors) this book kicks off the downtrodden tale of a Siren striped of her powers and sent to Nightmare Penitentiary... a hellish place for only the most dire of supernatural criminals - or it is supposed to be, at least.

She lands there as retribution, launching herself into a world she can barely fathom. Though Fast burn, this is a Slow build Reverse Harem with more obsessive males that caring lovers, featuring creatures we don’t quite understand yet while weaving a complicated plot that really only starts to emerge at the end.

First person, very limited multiple POV, Fast bruh, Slow build RH fantasy.
Cliffhanger
Rating = mature
Character age range = 18+

Pros:
- World building. It’s a bit sparse, but interesting so far.
- Other inmates.
- Selena... kinda love her.
- Alaric. I’m not sure I should like him, but I do.
- The mouse!

Cons:
- Felt Very short.
- Need more info on the guys... Seriously, lol

I need more

Wow..... I absolutely loved this book. I have always been interested and intrigued by Sirens and I am so glad that these two amazing authors decided to write a book about them. The mystery surrounding Nightmare Penitentiary, the guards, and the inmates will keep you turning pages. Who can Selena trust? What do they really want from her?
Once you start reading this book, you will be hooked and will not be able to stop reading until the very end.

Siren Condemned is the beginning of a new series authored together by C.R. Jane and Mila Young. Siren Condemned is the first book in the Thief of Hearts series and part of a Paranormal Prison collection. I have been eagerly anticipating these twists on paranormal stories so I was eager to dive into this book about a young siren and the mess she finds herself in by a not so small act of rebellion that costs her her freedom and before long…could threaten her very life if she’s not careful.
These two authors introduce us to world full of fae, vampires, shifters, sirens and other paranormal creatures. In a unique and unexpected twist of fate…the vampires are the “sharks” to the sirens. They use them for their own endgames and take what means the most to the sirens. Selena has now come of age and the vampire named Julian has come to claim what is “his.” He takes what is most precious to her after she has only had it for a brief time, but she gives away the next most precious so that he can never claim it. Her punishment? Nightmare Penitentiary…one of the darkest prisons and where the worst criminals were sent…and she’s being sent for a YEAR. But there is more to her punishment, but a twist of fate is going to lead her down a path that she doesn’t expect.
Siren Condemned is an engaging paranormal prison novel with some steamy scenes that will have you fanning yourself even in winter. Selena starts out piquing my interest in her as a character. When she comes into her powers I’m expecting…hoping…that she will take a certain path/course of action that will lead to a truly justifiable reason for her being sent to the prison. Well, that’s not the path the authors choose to take and instead go a different direction. I was briefly disappointed, but my curiosity was piqued so I pushed onward with the story. Let me just say this…I honestly hope Julian ends up getting a good smack in the future. LOL There are some unique twists and surprises in this book which help it be really hard to put down.
I have to say though that Selena does disappoint me a few times in this book. The first is when she has her solo meeting with the Warden. I felt that she should have handled things differently. She saw his reaction and I felt that she should have bargained better. I would say “or not have taken the item with her” but then the story would gone down a different path than intended obviously because with that item she had nothing really to bargain with. Also, I felt that she was a bit…”dim” with her first encounter with the mouse. My mind immediately went to a certain character, but she doesn’t seem to think at all. It was a bit disappointing. I honestly enjoyed the sex scenes, but I felt like Selena is letting her hormones control her more than they should. She’s in a prison and I feel that she needs to be reminded of that. The guards are not her friend, and while she may be “dealing” with one, he can’t protect her from the consequences if her actions become any more blaring and the Warden decides to take action. Of course, he does have his own agenda, but that won’t stop him from making an example of her if he so chooses I’m sure.
All in all, this book was enjoyable so I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. The danger element is ramping up for sure, and Selena is regretting a couple of her decisions thus far, but now a desirable carrot has been dangled in front of her nose and it’s not one she’s about to turn down. But the consequences…well…the consequences aren’t anything to sneeze at so failure is not an option. I’m eagerly anticipating the next book in this series. If you like paranormal novels and are looking to get into the prison troupe…then this book is a good to pick up and dive into.

Let me start by saying I was instantly absorbed into this story. I has such amazing potential. The problem that I ran across was that I have no idea what the ever loving heck is going on here... Just when I feel like I'm starting to grasp certain things a wrench, or betrayal sent all my thoughts a flutter. Is this a spin off? I feel like, while the world building was done in a way to make the world as a whole understandable, the prison itself is like a blur for me. The rules, or lack thereof, really disrupt the flow I felt from the beginning of the book.

The prison, its people, what is happening makes no sense right now. Its super frustrating because I really am involved here and I don't know why. I don't understand how Siren's have gotten involved in this slavery to begin with. I'm also still not all that sure about Selena.. I mean she seems way to innocent and naive to make it in this prison. I feel a lot of betrayal coming her way. I'm hoping by the next book we get some explanations that can really shed some light on our situation. For now I guess I'm just waiting on book 2?

I know I just swore off Mila Young books, but I was hoping CR Jane would save it. That did not happen; it had the same issues I dislike from other Young books. I was bored, I was annoyed by the tropes, and I didn't like the FMC. If we're going to be mostly in one character's head, that character better be interesting and compelling - I found this one to be neither. Far, far too much tell, not show, too. Gave up at 56%

I was so excited to finally read a book in the Paranormal Prison Series! I've heard so much about them and have been following along, anxiously awaiting the release. Which is why I'm disappointed to only give book 1, Siren Condemned, 3 stars. The overall plot of the book was good. I liked Selena's character as well as the 3 men who will eventually (I assume) round out her harem, Alaric, Keon and Seth. The majority of the story is told from her perspective with a small amount told from Keon's, which I liked.

So why am I giving it 3 stars? I read this book off of KU and there were multiple errors in it. That was a huge disappointment, especially since this entire series was so heavily promoted. There were also a few parts that seemed unnecessarily repetitive. In a book that is less than 200 pages that was tiresome. While I liked the plot, the blurb is a little misleading. It mentions her wanting to "free her people" and her "assignment" being the reason she is in NP, which is not true. It also lacks any mention that this book is not a standalone. It is obviously book 1 in a series yet Amazon has it listed as book 1 of 1. As far as I know each book in the Paranormal Prison series is focusing on separate main characters, so to have this book not be a standalone was bizarre to me.

Overall I did enjoy the characters and plot so I'm hopeful that the next book is a little tighter on the editing.

Dark Destiny – CR Jane
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars)

I devoured this book and honestly had such a good time with it. I love that it’s part of a big, shared universe, all set in the same world and location, written by different authors. That alone is pretty impressive! I’m currently following Selena’s story, and there was a really cute nod to Conveniently Convicted (which I’ve also read) that genuinely made me smile. Just a small moment, but it added a little extra magic.

I’m not giving spoilers, but the ending? Yeah, it definitely left me going right, where’s the next one? So a heads-up: this one isn’t a standalone like some of the others in the world—it’s part of a four-book arc from what I can tell, and I’ll 100% be picking up the next one.

Now, I’ve seen a few reviews saying things like “they wouldn’t act like that in prison” or “that’s not realistic,” and honestly… fair, but also, This is a supernatural prison full of all kinds of powered up supernatural beings. It’s not meant to feel like a regular prison drama, and if you’re going in expecting gritty realism, this probably isn’t the vibe. That’s kind of the point.

If you’re after something easy to read, packed with great characters and a lot of spice, I’d absolutely recommend giving this a go.

Sirens hunted pretty much kept captive, powers stolen. This is what poor Selena has lived with her whole life. Instead of doing what she was supposed to by giving herself to her mother's lover she goes to a bar a picks who she's giving her virginity to. When the vampire realizes it he has her put into a nightmare penitentiary to become a sex slave for a year. This gal has no luck, I swear. Her first lover ends up being a guard there.
My first prison type of book. Several males want her, honestly most want her due to being siren. Shes naive and far too trusting for prison life.

Really good

This is a really good book that I enjoyed a lot. I dont read very many books about sirens so this is a favorite of mine. Selena just wants to be free and not have her power taken away but instead ends up in prison (NP). Really couldn't put down at all once I started because I was completely hooked on this story so much. I absolutely can not wait until the book because I need to know what is going to happen with everything and so looking forward to it!

* First time reading authors

Siren Condemned is unlike anything I have read before. Which in of itself is saying something. We get a group of different characters in the PNR world and an interesting story to go with it. The siren in this story is very strong and demanding for the life she wants, which is what ends up sending her into the prison. We all know nothing good can end up there. Except Selena just might find her true mates while she is down there, and that includes the vampires in her life.

I will say I took a star away because it ends in a cliff hanger with no information on when or who will be writing the end. Or if it will even be part of this series.

I just finished reading Siren Condemned by C.R. Jane and Mila Young … and it was a page turner! What I’d call ‘Luxury Christmas Crack!’ 😋😋😋

What is ‘Luxury Christmas Crack,’ you say 😂?! So I’m a fan of a HUGE range of books under the paranormal/supernatural/fantasy genres WITH romance 💗. I LOVE all kinds of books… from smutty page turning addictions to super intense epic fantasies!! And I am a MOOD reader! I follow my moods as to what I read and let the momentum of a book carry me away 💨!! So…back to Christmas Crack! My hubby, the amazing man that he is & the LOVE ❤️ ❤️❤️ of my life, makes these INCREDIBLE toffee crackers at Christmas 🎄! They have caramel, salt, and chocolate 🍫 and are ohhhh soooo yummy 😋. They obviously don’t have a lot of nutritional substance 😆, but they are a complete ADDICTION and you can’t put them down! So we call these little tastes of heaven 😇… CHRISTMAS CRACK!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So this book is really a LUXURY 💍 Christmas Crack to me! I almost didn’t call it Christmas Crack because there is a pretty great fantasy 🧜‍♀️ plotline and I’m super invested in where it goes! But there are also some really steamy 🔥 SMUT and that is why it sort of has that Christmas Crack feel for me 🙌🏻!

OK! So what is it about?! Let me first answer that by telling you how I found this book 😁! I was scrolling through Paranormal Romance TikTok videos (yes, I’m addicted to TikTok videos on books… they are almost Christmas Crack in themselves 😅!) And I see this TiKTok video with a kickbutt ‘Corpse’ song playing and the quote, “When your vampire overlord wants your ✨V✨, so you go to a bar and give it to a stranger instead…” Annnnnnd….. one-click away, the book was on my Kindle app! 😂😂😂

So this story is about a world where Sirens 🧜‍♀️ are pretty much sex slaves to Vampires 🧛‍♂️ . Our pretty ballsy FMC decides HECK NO, she ain’t gonna give her V to No Vamp! So she goes to a bar 🍷 and finds a hot 🥵 stranger instead! The overloard vamp 🧛‍♂️ has some SERIOUS obsession 💘 and possessive 😡 issues… so you can imagine that it doesn’t go down very well 😂. And you’d be right 👆🏻! Her punishment is the basis of the book (don’t read the full book title because it’s a spoiler 😩!)!

The first GREAT thing I can say about this book is if you love SMUT 🔥, this book IS FOR YOU!! The smut is actually pretty AWESOME 🤩🤩🤩! Super hot 🔥🔥🔥 and not too vulgar. Not cringy. Like just pretty perfect sexy smut 👏🏻! This is a RH! BUT!!! It is a SLOW BURN. Ok, maybe not so slow burn on the sexy times, but ✋🏻!!! It is a slow burn relationship-wise and that’s the kind of RH that I can get behind 🙌🏻! This book is also written REALLY well. It’s first person POV (MY FAV 🥳!) and it’s super easy to page turn! It also seems like it may be darker themed (sex slaves and all 😆)… but it actually isn’t! It’s the PERFECT 💓 read for someone who loves shorter books, wants to have a Christmas crack experience, with some drama 🎭 …but NO triggers! And honestly, when I found out what type of book this is (again, don’t look 👀 at the full title!!)… I was pretty surprised 😮 that it kept my interest and I kept reading! I really enjoyed it 💜! I read this in 24 hrs and then yep, read the second book in 24 hrs 😅. There isn’t a lot of world building and character background, but there are enough little nuggets that I HAVE to keep reading to find out more! And so far, the author has been great about trickling in the answers that I NEED! I always say I’m a serial DNF’er, so if I keep reading a series without switching to something else… that says a lot right there folks! Annnnd… I’m on Book 3 and still loving it! 🥳🥳🥳

So if you want some page turning smut 🥵🍆 🔥 with actually a pretty great fantasy 🧜‍♀️ plotline, MMCs that have all the right moves and all the right words, a bit of Damsel-in-Distress moments with MMCs kicking some butt 🤺, and some excitement 🤩 about a FMC who I know will eventually take down 👊🏻 the bad guys…. give Siren Condemned a try! It’s free on KU and you never know… it may just SING 🎶 TO YOU!

Well this one started out steamy almost from the get go. I seriously clutched my pearls and licked my lips several times. Woo! And then of course, we had to go to NP where we met the warden and the mouse and experienced a mini prison riot/fight in the cafeteria. This book gave an explanation as to why the prison looked different in all the books which was rather clever. Already, I like Selena and hope for the best for her. And then I was reunited with Sinclair!!! She was from my absolute favorite book in the series “Conveniently Convicted.” I was so happy to see her again and then get to see another POV of the prison during the same time that she served time. Dr. Brina makes an unwanted appearance but thankfully it's not as bad as in some of the other books. My thighs clench just thinking about it! This is an author who excels at the steamy parts. My heart gets to racing and I’m sure my blood pressure spikes when I read those scenes. I love the way Selena and Sinclair’s stories weave together in this book and I’m glad I read Sinclair’s story first so that I could recognize all the times the two interacted. I fell so hard in love with this book, and then it ended with a cliff hanger. Of course. Glad I already downloaded all four books in this series offshoot.

wow...just wow! When these two talented authors write together it is just magical! They grab you and drag you into their gritty and dangerous world and you become completely invested int he characters!

Selena is an interesting FMC...she is only 18 and still very young in her thoughts of the world that is to come. She is vulnerable and sensitive and even though she grew up in a dangerous place she appears to be protected overall until she hits 18 and then she goes against an evil that she cannot win against. However she really starts to become more from her time in prison and you rally start to see her develop more and more...it will be interesting to see if she gets her power back and what she will do to the world if it does happen!

Then there are the guys...Keon, what is he? There are so many questions surrounding him, he is charming and dangerous and I do not think that Selena knows that she has hooked in a predator. Alaric is intense and I am intrigued for what his deeper feelings could be for Selena...he is dark and dangerous and I do not know what to expect from him in the future..will he support or ruin Selena? And finally we get a slight glimpse of Seth...what did he do? Is he the killer they think he is? What will him and Selena become to each other? He is heartbreaking and mysterious!

The world that CR Jane and Mila Young have creating will captive the reader..it is dark, dangerous, mysterious, gritty and you do not know what to expect as you turn each page. Highly recommended new series that had me wanting more as soon as I finished!

I devoured this book, making it feel as though it was over way too soon. This book makes you feel as though you are there - ensuring the reader is aware of the nuances of each individual characters as well as being able to feel the despair of Nightmare Penitentiary.

Our FMC, Selena, is a bit naive. However this does not detract from her strong personality, as she is more than happy to accept her naivety which has occurred due to her upbringing. As the story grows, she learns more about the world she is a part of, wanting to learn the nuances of each person she comes across.

Siren Condemned has a very clear storyline, however it still maintains an air of intrigue & mystery as we learn more about each of the secondary characters in the story. Not only does the story flow well, but you also have a small insight into the mind of Keon, one of the other characters associated with the FMC. However it is over quickly, making you want to know more about Keon but also see into the minds of the other characters.

Overall a fantastic read, one I'm sure to follow as I eagerly anticipate the release of the sequel, Siren Sacrificed. Being a part of a multi-author collective in Paranormal Prison I'm interested to see what the other stories have to bring to the table...

Once sirens were powerful, now their magic is stolen by the vampires they serve. Selena has been trained since birth for her 18th birthday when she would be turned over to a master vampire who has desired her innocence for years. When she steals what he wants most her has her sent to Nightmare Penitentiary for one year as punishment. It holds the worst of the worst and many don't survive but as terrifying as it is, Selena finds herself drawn to three men within its walls.

I wasn't sure how I would enjoy a prison setting. I loved it. I love the injustice, the danger, the sexy inmates. I especially liked the gorgeous stalker of a guard. I liked the quirkiness of a rock candy-loving inmate, a collector warden, and especially a klepto-mouse. It's interesting characters like this that make stories memorable. Selena is very likable and the three men are compelling. The story drew me in. I look forward to seeing how it plays out.

The writing collaboration was mostly successful. I did notice that one character's name was never revealed but suddenly in use which threw me. Otherwise, they blended their voices pretty consistently. They did write an entertaining, original story and left me wanting more.

This was...fine. The writing style has very YA-vibes, and then there are a few semi-graphic spice scenes thrown in for good measure. The FMC herself describes the spice as "crazy kinky" but it's not, just fyi, for those looking for more of the dark romance vibes that you might expect to find in a paranormal romance set in a prison. It's short, and fast-paced, and overall entertaining. I can't say that I would actively recommend it to anyone, but I wouldn't tell someone not to read it either, if that makes sense.

The plot is a little confusing, and by the nature of the writing style we're left with a lot of questions and half-finished thoughts. Like the mouse who very clearly aided her at the level above a typical mouse, but we never really hear anything more about him. I understand that the Nightmare Penitentiary is a shared setting between a couple different authors, so I don't know if that factors into some of the confusion on my part...maybe I was supposed to read other books before this one?

From the RH aspect, we've met all three men but no real relationships have been formed yet.

I'll probably give the second book a go, just to see if the story tightens up a little bit.

I have read the book entitled Dark Destiny: A paranormal Prison. It was written by the same authors has the same cover, and concerns the same main character. That prompted me to presume that the authors had simply changed the book title. This review belongs to Dark Destiny.
Selena is a Siren who has just reached her eighteen Birthday and has come into her powers. Her mother who, let's face it, is not a nominee for the mother of the year award, has basically sold her to a self absorbed Vampire who wants to be the first to claim her and take her innocence.
Selena is repulsed by your despicable neighborhood Vampire Julian, goes out and has her first complete sexual experience with a stranger. Needless to say that Julian is royally pissed and decides to commit Selena to the worst penitentiary possible as a sex slave to the guards ad well as the inmates.. The place is even called Nightmare penitentiary.

The authors have written a powerful story that literally keeps the reader glued to the book. The way that the authors describe each paranormal 's powers ad well as its heritage, is masterful.
Each day is a challenge in a prisoner 's life as it is well described in this book. I rate it 5 Stars and look forward to reading the sequel.

This book takes on an interesting concept by introducing both vampires and other supernatural characters in different roles than we may have previously read them in. I love how Mila Young takes on concepts that we may know of and twists them around to create a whole new world.

We start by being introduced to Selena, our main heroine of the series. Her beginnings and the start of her story in this series is very dark. It is not so dark that it should make you shy away, but it does have a darker beginning. As she faces the travesties that are inflicted upon her she finds herself in a situation what she has no control and has to determine what roles and choices she's going to take on. We slowly begin to meet her male counterparts as the book continues and each one is incredibly unique.

This book not only leaves us on a cliffhanger, but leaves Selena with a moral dilemma. This book leaves the reader with a lot of questions as to what is going to happen next, but also leaves you begging for the next book. I definitely recommend this book particularly if you like RH novels or prison novels.

Great

A well written beginning, the heart wrenching inevitability of circumstances - the chance of birth that places the MFC w an unloving mother in a world of racial slavery, the lack of self determination, groomed to follow orders, but her heart flickers in outrage - metaphorically stomping her foot and screaming her outrage. She turns 18yo and her path is set but for a single night she escapes her silk prison and takes the reins of her life, she refuses to bow down and obey, she meets her mystery man and a new path is set. Her vampire master in a pique of rage decides to punish her independence, and she finds herself thrown into a world if nightmares and a fight for her survival. The dark world fill of violence and nightmares is every dark alley you were afraid to cross, a cold uncomfortable prison where the guards and inmates are a danger. She is alone, but her inner strength keeps her fighting as she navigates the dark surroundings and meets her fellow prisoners. Is everyone a threat, is everyone she meets the enemy? Can she find a light in the darkness?

The sirens have long been under the control of vampires. Their powers are stolen and they're nothing more than slaves and consorts. When Selena stands up to her vampire master, she is sent away to Nightmare Penitentiary to serve a year as punishment. Only the worst of the worst in the supernatural world are sent there, and it's a different nightmare for everyone. Selena only seeks freedom, but finds herself chaining her heart to three men who may destroy her in the end.

This is the first book in the Thief of Hearts reverse harem paranormal romance series in a shared author world. Selena is a unique character being a siren with a lack of powers, but she is clever with a big heart. Each of the three men are different, and I'm fascinated by each of them. We don't learn much about them at all, but there are very steamy moments! I don't know quite what's going on at the prison yet, but I will be picking up the next book. This does end on a major cliffhanger, so be prepared to want to snatch up the second novel!

She’s still got it

Ok if anybody who has read Conveniently Convicted by ivy asher & raven kennedy then you will already know about nightmare penitentiary which had my smiling when the famous character from their book was in this and our FMC aka Selena crossed over via their book too so you know what I mean if anybody has read it.
Made my day 😁

Anyway brilliant start to book 1
Selena the FMC is a siren, which means for me is my first siren paranormal romance and so far I’m loving.
She’s escaped a life of what would of been anybodies nightmare to a even worse nightmare when she’s thrown behind bars for something that shouldn’t even be a crime.
Gotta say even though she’s ended up there she’s making the most of it and I’m happy for her.
Some yummy monsters in this paranormal prison too so yeah this series is bloody interesting for sure 😜
It’s a page turner, it keeps you interested and it’s the true siren call
Some interesting twists and it leaves you wanting to know what is gonna happen with the dilemma Selena has been left with.

Book 2 next please

You can tell this was written by two authors. There's an obvious change in writing style and it totally messes up the flow of the book. They need a better editor or maybe it wasn't edited at all? This first book took FOREVER to make any sense. I really thought we were getting somewhere with that first bar-alley scene and then it just went into the abyss of nonsense. The authors went on for pages about the looks of the characters. I didn't realize there were so many ways to describe abs? I think at one point I counted 5 pages to describe Alaric even though we had already been introduced to him! We already know the guy and what he looks like! Why five more pages! And the Fae character (Seth) introduction was super choppy. She has this random crystal from somewhere, trades it, finds out a mouse gave it to her (?) and then this fae is freaking out way later on in the story about it? Like days and days later? I'm sure he'll be part of her RH but it was a terrible way to bring in this character.

It's really not a well thought out storyline, I'm surprised there are 4 books to this.
