Why: The Anatomy of School Shooting

Rate this book
This book is as in depth analysis of the of mass shooting as a cultural epidemic. The first steps in Healing are acknowledging and then understanding problem.Martinez is more interested in prevention than healing. I think that is the reason she titled her book Why. The Why, the motive of these crimes, is the key to prevention. And intervention, boldly stepping in before it is too late, is part of the picture. To pessimistically despair of profiling is to forsake our trust. One of the strengths of this book is its thorough, unapologetic look, a hard look, at the red flags worthy of our notice. Glenn Kendall, Ph.D., Cincinnati, July, 2017.
