Jon Cronshaw is a British science fiction and fantasy author based in the north of England, just south of the wall. As a freelance features writer, he has had work published in local and national newspapers across the UK, including the Yorkshire Post and the Guardian. He earned his PhD in history of art from the University of Leeds in 2011, focusing on the life and work of Anglo-American sculptor, Jacob Epstein (1880-1959). He's a voracious reader, guide dog owner, ex-gamer, and wrestling fan.
This instalment of Kat's journey takes place amidst the Guardians of Gottsilse. Discovering aspects of who and what she is comes at the expense of others.
Cronshaw knows how to tell a story. The series is well written and grips you from the start. You will continue your own version of the story but Cronshaw will lead you down another route.
This is the installment I’ve been waiting on; Kat begins to get answers to questions she has had along the course of the series. The source of the answers came as quite the surprise, and now it raises the question as to the cost to Kat for gaining these glimpses of her past and the answers to her questions. I’m now primed and ready to read the next installment. I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.
Our MC takes more steps towards recovering what has been lost to her, leaving me wondering how this will all play out. Factions I envisioned as good or bad...totally fall somewhere grey until everything gets disclosed. A reborn, wiser, strength seems to be surfacing. With just one more episode available, hoping I don’t discover myself waiting for more releases. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This is a fantastic series that has grabbed me right from the start to finish. It has me on the edge of my seat when reading and definitely a page turner, I definitely recommend. Shauna Joesten
