The Treehouse Town books take readers on an exciting adventure with Ella and Jake as they discover new friends—and new problems to be solved.
When Ella and Jake find a treehouse in the woods, it is only one of several mysteries they encounter. Who are their new neighbors? Where is the mysterious light in the woods coming from? And who built this beautiful treehouse?
Ella’s dad went up the ladder, disappearing into the leaves.
“Oh, children!” he cried. “You’ll never believe what is up here!”

As a Christian songwriter and music producer, Jenny Phillips has released over 27 albums and has shared her love of music across the world, speaking at over 1,100 events in 23 countries and selling over a million CDs. In order to reduce the stress and time commitments that naturally come with a music label, and so she could focus more on her young family, Jenny left her music label in 2011. She now offers her music for free on www.hislightmusic.com.
When Jenny's children began going to school, she turned toward another one of her passions—education. Jenny began homeschooling in an effort to provide a faith-based, high-academic education focused on building noble character. Not wholly satisfied with any curriculum she could find and deeply concerned about the loss of good literature in our world, she founded The Good and the Beautiful.
Jenny lives in Utah with her husband and five children. In addition to music, motherhood, and good literature, Jenny loves family history, gardening, traveling, and exercising. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but she enjoys working with people of many faiths as she shares her multi-denominational curriculum, rejoicing in the common good that all Christians share.
This is a Level 2B Good and Beautiful library book. Many of the library books have been saved from obscurity and have been reprinted. This is an original by The Good and Beautiful founder, Jenny Phillips. My daughter had read it previously and loved it so it came highly recommended.
I enjoyed it. It is a great book for beginning readers with large print and colorful illustrations. I loved the elements of mystery in the story and the families working together to refurbish the treehouses. I am looking forward to Treehouse Town Book 2.;).
The kids and I kicked off our new semester with Treehouse Town. The illustrations are gorgeous and the story was really sweet. We are moving on to book two next. My daughter, especially, loved this story and she sat with the book after and went back over all the pictures of the types of treehouses. Really cute story to start the year with.
James didn't want to stop reading this book. He loved the mystery and finding what was going on in the book. The whole idea of the treehouse town captured his imagination and he wishes he could have a treehouse town, too.
I thought this was okay, but I did like how they made different tree houses into bakeries and flower shops and stuff. That was cool. (I read this in less than one hour on the first day of 2nd grade. Mom is going to need to get some harder reading materials for me!)
