Jock Miles-Moon Brothers Korean War Story #3
COMBAT: Parallel Lines
Winter of 1950-1951: Facing the massive and determined Chinese intervention MacArthur said would never come, US 8th Army is forced into a shattering retreat from North Korea to the 38th Parallel and beyond. A change in US strategy—and a change of generals—could end the retreat and regain the upper hand. But American and global politics threaten to force the conflict to a stalemate at the Parallel that neither side has the will—or the means—to break.Book 3 in the Jock Miles-Moon Brothers Korean War story.

I've read the entire series and it just keeps getting better and better! I love the character development and the all the action with the realistic combat scenes, lots of nail biting tension. I'm retired Army and spent 16 years of my 20 in Korea and his military fiction certainly seems very well written to me . I like the way his characters all seem like real people, good soldiers, bad soldiers and in between. Good officers as well as officers that will screw everybody over for a promotion. Grasso creates characters that exemplify the highest ideals as well as villains you can hate. And in real life as in Grasso's books the butt kissers often prosper while the warriors are screwed over and pushed out. Many wanna be military fiction writers make the mistake of creating two dimensional characters, all perfect gung ho types when reality isn't like that. His greatest strength as a writer is he creates a world that comes alive between the pages of his books. I honestly worry about whats going to happen to characters as I turn the pages. I've enjoyed every one of his books but the Korean war series is my favorite. Keep it up! I look forward to reading more about Jock Miles and company.

A WPG. Korean War Novek (AJM-MBKWSB - 3)
WPG. has penned the third Korean War Novel titled "Combat:Parallel Lines" which begins with alternate plans of action which defense the war effort so that the men in the combined Allied Force's would follow. At the same time the Colonel's wife is having difficulties because a Generals wife said she was in the US with a bogus passport. The problem is solved as the combined Allied forces are entrenching to alt the Communist aggression. This is a good read for the genre.....DEHS

I thoroughly enjoyed this account of the Korean combat period. I was amused frequently, when the author had sarcastic reviews of the Tenth Corps commander, General "Bidet" Almond, because I was somewhat familiar with his ineptitudes. I read all of Mr. Grasso's earlier books dealing with Jock Miles and his military exploits and private life. I feel there are more books about (now) General Miles
and his military adventures. Show them to me on Kindle!

Nostalgia for me
I had a good friend who fought in Korea. He was in the retreat from Chosin reservoir as part of a mortar team. The story he told me was the same as the book. Hats off to all the men who fought there and the author for telling the story of what they fought through. I did not see any mention of the Truman year that extended their enlistment. Great informative novel that revealed more about the military than I knew about.

Another good believable Storyline, Characters, Equipment, and Actions!
I have read Moon Brothers Books of fighting in Europe, the Med, and Africa! The Jock Miles Books were equal to the action in Pacific. The books about the Korean War was as good as the earlier and held a special place in family history. My Dad was aNavy Enlisted CPO! 😎

SNAFU
Another fairly interesting novel about the idiotic push to Manchuria and the resultant catastrophe and loss of American lives, for no good reason. This book doesn't really detail how many casualties we took when the Chinese entered the war. Kinda boring but I guess worth reading

Another Moon brothers war story
I have read all the previous novels and felt they had fun the course. This one was about Korea in which I served, it never got beyond a not quite believable aspect.

Exciting book
Third book of Miles-Moon brothers. A book that tells of the tragedy of our Forgotten War. The political interjections, and adverse effectiveness in direction of telling military how to fight a war.

A good read for those who have spent time in South Korea and for those who just like a wartime story. Mr. Grasso writes an interesting book, and his character development is good. This book was a little limited about Half Moon, and much more about the Tanker. The personal story line about Jock Miles and his stateside family was an attention grabber.

Jock Miles in Korea.
Good book on the harsh conditions in this war. The US could have completely taken over this country except for the politics.
