83% and I couldn't go further
This was promising. A crazy ex vs an MC alpha hero. Instead I read about an MC wannabe that has no clout, a lying heroine and proud of it and the dumbest get together I've ever come across. He was in love with her but takes another woman home just after a few weeks and the heroine chasses him down to declare her love? Arrrg why do authors think its cool for the heroine to do the groveling?
Authors should only write MC/Mafia romance if they actually know how to do it instead I get given a sappy Mills and Boon hero.

I loved this read. Often dark romances are soooo dark they cross too many lines that I just can't handle. Thankfully, even with some horrible trigger based scenes, her friendships & determination manage to keep a light shining bright in the darkness!🌟 I never felt dragged down, creeped out & scared for her- definitely - but not weighted down throughout!🙏💕 I adored the characters, Ethan was perfect!!😎👑💘

So far I'm 0 for 2 this weekend. This is the second book I've read the past day where I felt like I had to dig way too much to find a connection that was supposed to be evident. Did I enjoy the story? I did and it's what I was looking for for just an easy read. But I still wanted more of a romance and chemistry between the main characters.

This is your typical new adult, on the run from an abusive ex, romance. If you love the trope, you’ll enjoy this book. This book is marked as a “Dark romance”, but I wouldn’t even really call it a romantic suspense. It’s an angsty new adult romance.
The characters are dynamic and interesting, the plot was just fast-paced enough to keep me glued to the pages. Ethan is a sweet, yet tough man from her past, and he’s eager to be a part of Hailey’s new life. While he’s technically a biker, this book doesn’t have MC romance vibes at all (There’s barely any “club” action, the sense of “brotherhood” isn’t quite there, and there are zero hilarious/scary/cringey road names to poke fun at). If you’re a fan of MC books and you’re expecting this one to have those elements, this one might be a bit of a disappointment to you.

This book is not your normal Leia Stone book, but I am so glad that she wrote it. It's about Hailey a young woman who thought she had everything she ever wanted in life. A husband and everything that money could buy, and without giving away too many spoilers Hailey finds out that she's made a mistake. Enter Hailey 2.0. She moves back to her hometown to start over. Enter Ethan the best book boyfriend I think I have ever read.... he's just so amazing and sweet and hot.
If you have ever been through a bad, emotional and physical relationship this book will strike a certain cord with you and you will wonder how Ms. Stone knows your story so well. This is a must read for everyone

Disappointed
I truly wanted to love this book, but in the end there were just too many things that annoyed me. First, in my opinion this isn’t a dark romance and shouldn’t be advertised as one. Second, a woman who lived in her words in the ghetto and survived not only living with a drug using parent, but an abusive spouse would be a bit more survival savvy than Hailey was presented here. That being said some of her behaviors/choices/thought processes don’t make sense. Finally, while I struggled most with the believability of some elements of the story I also wanted to throw something every time she referred to herself as Hailey 1.0/2.0. What person who is not a celebrity or psycho refers to themselves in third person? I won’t go into further detail to avoid spoilers. Read it for yourself and decide. You may love it.

I’m familiar with Leia Stone’s work in paranormal romance and I had high expectation for this contemporary romance—it didn’t disappoint. This book has it all, action, romance, suspense, a villain you’ll love to hate (I honestly abhor the very name now) and a swoon-worthy hero who sweeps Hailey off her feet. She’s determined not to need a knight in shinning armour, which I appreciate. But Ethan comes through anyway. I wouldn’t call Wrecked a dark romance as such, although there’s mentions of sensitive subjects.

So much emotion in this book! It's really lovely to see Hailey try and open up her heart, how she's getting by with little money and really working hard for everything, how she's making REAL friends, and dealing with her ex-husband who is stalking her, harassing her, . Personally, she took WAY too long to file for a report, but it had a lovely HEA and honestly, it was very satisfying because this book was a rollercoaster. Sometimes, I felt like some bits were not portrayed realistically, like Hailey's depression, but overall it was amazing!

Oh em gee. It's been a while since a book's given me a book hangover but I sure do have one now. I wanted a quick, steamy read, but found myself drawing this out and savoring each chapter. It was much more of an emotional rollercoaster than I expected, but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. There are really only a few steamy scenes but it has just he right amount for the situation. I was prepared for more of a romance book, but it's a much more emotional story of recovery. The characters are easily relatable even though I've never been in an abusive relationship. I have had a stalker though, and she absolutely hit the nail on the head for that portion of the book. The story is absolutely gripping from the start and locks you in until the end. The supporting best friend character was a breath of fresh air to break up the gravity of the turmoil Hailey has. It's heartwrenching and uplifting all at once. I sincerely applaud Stone for embracing such a difficult taboo subject, and how she addresses it with raw emotion yet class. I sincerely cannot stop raving about this book and how well written it was.

I added this to me “want to read” list somewhere along the way. I’m unsure if it was recommended to me or where I found it, but I’ll give it a go.
I didn’t love the writing style. I found the constant inner narrative to be a bit... annoying. But I settled into it after a while.
I did like the pace of the romance. It felt real.
All in all, this was an enjoyable enough read. Nothing overly unique or special, but it kept my interest.
”Angela said there is a pool party at noon and you’re going?” He queried.
That little bitch.
I laughed nervously. “I was going to invite you. And Cody. But then I thought you might be busy and...” Why was I so awkward? Why did he have to give me this stupid flower?
“And I put a flower in your plate and now you think I want to marry you,” he finished, watching me behind dancing, mischievous eyes.

I don’t know why I’m surprised
I am a fan of Leia Stone, I’ve read just about everything she’s published, including the bits she’s had included in anthologies (still hoping for a continuation of that Push story ;)) and I’m always struck by how she has the incredible talent to draw readers in with these stories of emotionally vulnerable women and just squander that opportunity to empower her female audience and just have her heroines just do nothing towards the end of the story. Every. Single. Time.
Hailey is no different. I know Ms. Stone has a largely YA following and although the material tends to be for the matured end of that YA spectrum, but I don’t think I can continue to read her works anymore. It’s disheartening to consistently read tone-deaf stories about the poor white girl who grew up in the “hood” with her person of color best friend (I’m taking a wild guess that due to the prevalence of this character trait for just about all her heroines that this may be true in real life. If that’s true, I’m sure her POC best friend hasn’t read any of the stories her loosely based characters are based on), meets a man to save her from her very existence and learns nothing about herself along the way. Considering the subject matter, one that she took more care with during the original Matefinder series, I figured she’d take the opportunity to teach her young readers how to bounce from a situation like that, or spend more time on describing how Hailey was able to leave her situation.

This is something completely new from Leia Stone, and it. was. FANTASTIC. If you're a huge fan of her work (like me) you're used to fantasy worlds, magic, and a badass woman leading the pack. I've been on a paranormal romance kick so I wasn't sure if I would be in the mood for one without any magic. Also, I generally hate Motorcycle club-type books. BUT let me just say, this book did NOT disappoint and was pleasantly different. With this breath of fresh air, we have Hailey who is like a broken bird in the beginning. Throughout this book she gains her wings and becomes a better, stronger version of herself. Ethan King is your typical hot, badass but with a genuine and sweet personality as a twist. Together they are such a healthy dynamic duo. Pick up this book, prepare to cancel all of your plans and get ready to dive right in. I'm still thinking about this book HOURS later. Love it!

This book was just amazing. So freaking good. Leia entraps you in an intense tale of survival and love. This book is going to put you through a roller coaster of emotions. Hailey is such a strong character, and her character growth was just awe inspiring. I just can’t say enough good things about this book. The story keeps you on your toes and there will plenty of times where you will ask you what in the world is going on?!?! But it’s well worth the ride. If you were unsure if you wanted to read this or not, read it. You won’t regret it. Leia created a masterpiece with this book!

I must say that I really love the main character in this book. Hailey 2.0 is truly a inspiring woman. There is a *trigger warning* that comes with this book....Violence and abuse are present in this book. Without going into possible spoilers just know that Hailey is awesome. There is a swoon worthy hot guy in this book as well. He’s amazing and I loved him right away. I was hooked from the beginning of the book and I was unable to put the book down. It is that good. So intense. Gah! I loved it.

I probably wouldn't have read this book if it hadn't been written by Leia Stone. This is not my usual genre, but I love Ms. Stone's work. I am glad I picked it up as I was completely engrossed by the story.
Ms. Stone always writes layered characters. Nothing is 1 dimensional. Hailey, the main character, is complex and damaged. She is struggling to rebuild her life after leaving an abusive relationship. The secondary characters are just as devoloped as the MC, which adds great depth to the story.
I definitely recommend this book.

Devoured!!!
Hailey stores up the courage to walk away from an abusive relationship with basically the clothes she is wearing and moves back to the neighborhood she grew up in with no family to support her. She then literally runs into Ethan Scrumptious King, a tattooed Adonis with the heart of a lion who teaches her what real love and being cherished feel like. Evil ex stalking ensues, keeping Hailey from fully being able to move on. Throughout the story Hailey 2.0 learns that she isn't completely broken and begins to pick up the pieces, mending herself back together...with the help of her sexy alpha.
I loved this book, it had all the feels. Leia is one of my go-to authors. This story was a shift from her normal genre but she nailed it yet again. I love that in this book, as she does in all her stories, there is an element of awareness regarding social and medical issues that are a part of everyday reality but are rarely ever addressed in fictional characters. The tittle of this book says it all, this story wrecked me and I had tears in some parts....Leia Stone has once again got me to read and absolutely love a book I probably would not have read if it was not written by her! This book grabbed me kicking and screaming and had me completely invested from page one up until the very ending. Ethan is so different to who you think he is from the description...yes he has tattoos, rides a Harley and carries a gun, but he is so much more...kind, generous, caring and sexy AF!! He is so protective of Hailey and she is so broken, her story heartbreaking...she has been chewed up and spat out and Ethan is just the man to bring her back! Once I started reading it was impossible to put the book down...the very talented Leia has once again written a completely captivating story that is full of steam, twists and turns, heartache and love! Highly recommended purchase!!

Hailey and Ethan are amazing characters. Hailey is broken emotionally. She has just escaped a very abusive marriage with barely the clothes on her back. She is determined to make it on her own and to be the strong woman she knows she can be. Ethan is everything she needs. He’s strong, powerful but not aggressive or pushy. He’s the kind of man every girl wants in her life. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s extremely sexy and growly! Everything about their story is entertaining, intense and very powerful emotionally. Their story had me fully engaged and never wanting it to end.

I'm trying to find the write words to describe this book…
Amazing, riveting, emotional, and everything you could ever want in a romance novel.
This book took me on a healing, emotional ride that I will live over and over again, as I read this book again and again. This isn’t a book you just read once. This isn’t a story that you want to put down. This is a story of a journey that leads up to such a powerful love story, only we could wish to experience one day.
Leia does an amazing job putting you in the main character’s shoes and you experience everything with her. You feel her pains, triumphs, fears, and every road she has to take. My favorite thing is being in this world as you watch this character grow.
The one thing I do want to say is, one day I hope that I too have an Ethan King.

This book took me on a healing, emotional ride that I will live over and over again, as I read this book again and again. This isn’t a book you just read once. This isn’t a story that you want to put down. This is a story of a journey that leads up to such a powerful love story, only we could wish to experience one day.
Leia does an amazing job putting you in the main character’s shoes and you experience everything with her. You feel her pains, triumphs, fears, and every road she has to take. My favorite thing is being in this world as you watch this character grow.
The one thing I do want to say is, one day I hope that I too have an Ethan King.

Wrecked by Leia Stone is a dark romance with a lot of emotion, well developed characters and deep backstory. Plus it’s sexy as hell - who doesn’t love a bad boy biker.
The first paragraph captured me and drew me right into Hailey’s story, so much so I didn’t want to put it down.
I always have a slight hesitancy when reading a book that’s labeled dark and has a warning. However, the storyline was addictive to read and I couldn’t wait to see how Hailey’s story would pan out. If your after something a little darker to read, then you’ll probably be drawn in as much as I was.
This line for me was a perfect description of what the MC has been through: “Letting his black heart bleed all over me to infect my every waking moment.”
And then the change we were about to see:
“Hailey 2.0 was on her way to living the good life.”

I really enjoyed this book. I was looking for a book that had a protective man to fall in love with and this book delivered. Both main characters were great. I admired Hailey for her bravery and determination to remake herself after her abusive ex. Ethan was delicious, reliable, compassionate, and protective all without being overbearing. I was invested in this relationship and loved every moment of this read. This was my first book from this author and I LOVE PNR so I’m looking forward to reading more from Leia Stone.

Great Story
I really enjoyed the storyline of this book; however I felt the first part of this book was very slow, which was fine but the last 30% of this I felt the story and relationship seemed rushed. I have to say I’m also a bit stunned on what her ex does at the end of the book. It just seemed to be something that he wouldn’t do and I didn’t think it fit with his personality. Overall it was a good book, and I would definitely recommend it.

This is not a dark read. It was sweet more than anything else simply because of Ethan’s heart of gold. I liked hailey, however for all her past life, she seemed a bit naive and frankly lacking survivor instincts. This story lacked some character development - especially when it came to Hailey. The ending was a surprise.

Loved it so good. Mystery, drama, angst, romance, so much chemistry..triggers: stalking abuse, kidnapping and suicide...slow burn romance that really builds. Beautiful story of overcoming a broken damaged past into a wonderful future. And there is motorcycles enough said.

I liked this one. I will say that it didn't seem overly "dark" to me, so don't let that scare you off. This is one book that I think could have benefited from 3rd person POV instead of first. For example, it seemed out of character that he brought a girl back, and I wished that I knew more of what he was thinking instead of having to infer it. Overall it was an enjoyable story though.
