Dark Pretty: From Unawakened to Shattered to Healing as an INFJ Empath

Rate this book
In a sensitive voice with a wicked edge, author Jennifer Arnspiger examines the defining moments in her experience as an INFJ Empath, the rarest personality type in the world.

Through feeling different from a young age and falling into toxic relationships to finally reconciling herself as a survivor of narcissistic abuse, Jennifer takes us along her journey from unawakened to shattered to healing, demonstrating with her Narcissist Mindfuckery Timeline how exactly we can take our story back through the healing power of words.

Part sensitive survival story, part love note to the INFJ personality type, Dark Pretty is a wild ride into the honest, complicated, traumatized, resilient heart of an INFJ Empath determined to rise after too much external darkness with too few boundaries, and very compassionately take you with her.

Jennifer Arnspiger was born in Phoenix, Arizona with stars in her veins and a pen in her hand. She writes memoir and fiction, blending sensory lushness with bare emotional honesty and undercurrents of magic.

Her latest book, Pretty Piece of Flesh, has been described by Judy Reeves as "a beautifully written, gorgeously devastating collection" of three short stories and a recent reviewer called her prose 'lyrical even when the subject matter is dark, painting a worldly and somewhat dreamy picture that pulls the reader into each story.'

She is currently at work on her second memoir.

Being an INFJ as well, I can relate to a lot of the things the author has shared in her book. It’s raw emotions yet so gentle. If you’re not afraid of feelings, you will love this book.
