About the author

Lavinia has always been a lover of the written word as well as the pursuit of philosophical and spiritual inquiry. Using poetry and metaphor as her vehicle, she weaves together thought provoking and moving poems.

Lavinia was formerly a faculty librarian at California Institute of the Arts and sat on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Access Services. Her research interests include mysticism of which she writes often on her blog mysticcookie.com.

imagine the walks, the hikes where great battles changing the direction of waves along the shore, milking minutes from sunrises or sunsets, stealing the light from stardust, to be a conduit, to be the arbi (sometimes) traitor...the spiritual search along paths known and new trails, the flowing of words to places in our hearts where most of us no longer tread...the melodic and tranquil courses lavinia's words take us in stardust....just wow! its nice after a full belly of enchiladas too...
