Paranormal activity is creating chaos for all who live and work in the city, and Davey is more alert than his sister and cousins to voices from the past. Will the ghost hunter brought in to investigate uncover the root of the problem, or is his very presence a trigger for evil sprits to make themselves known? And now Davey must be on his guard as never before—his nemesis, The Lady, has returned; he must escape her deadly clutches by Midsummer or be in her thrall forever.

I went through a horror phase when I was 12, around the same time that I devoured all the Sweet Valley books in my local library, bizarrely. I'm not sure why I combined these two vastly different styles of books. Anyway, I read a lot of Celia Rees at this time. I read all three books in this trilogy but I honestly can't remember anything about them, but I did enjoy them despite them not being very memorable.

This book expresses the themes found in gothic novels. The book is mainly based around the theme of " the fear of the unknown". This theme is included throughout the book as the host rides out discusses ghosts and spirits and the things that are not farmiliar or usual for most of mankind.

so far in reading the book it is enjoyable as it creates feelings of suspense whilst you are fearing what will happen next in the story.

The final chapter in the Supernaturals series. Davey risks his own life to help the ghosts rid themselves of the Judge forever so that they can all cross over. If he succeeds in this can he escape the clutches of the Lady who has returned to claim him forever. A fine ending to a fascinating trilogy.
