Finally, Venus and Troy Forever
Another interracial romance in the Make It Marriage series. This one didn't leave me smiling like the first book. Written from the main character's POVs didn't work and left me bored and frustrated for the first two thirds of the book.
The bold, confident Venus we met in Be My Always is not the same Venus in this book. Venus and Troy loved each other secretly for years but never acted on their feelings. Troy and Venus both engaged in meaningless sex with others throughout most of the book Their resistance takes up the majority of the book. Their refusal to admit their feelings for each other made no sense. Troy thought admitting his love for Venus would be a betrayal of the family who took him in. Venus' mother was simply a bully. Venus allowed her mother's bullying. Evan, Venus' brother and Troy's best friend seemed oblivious to the UST between them. I don't need graphic, descriptive sex, bordering on soft porn which is found in so many interracial romance. However, there was no real steam or heat and no follow through to Venus and Troy sexual attraction to each other.
There was no real backstory leading up to Venus being stalked and threatened. It was a way for Venus and Troy to move in with each other. Also, it was a way to introduce Amina to the family. It was pretty boring with the ending being a dud. The book has so much promise which went unfulfilled.

If you like unfinished thoughts... this book is for you
Just a trainwreck of a book. I remember liking another of this author's books but this was a mess. There is an 8 year age gap between Troy and Venus. This would be okay, but the book begins at her 18th birthday party. He has to flee the scene because he wants her so bad and has for some time. That means this 26 year old man has been lusting after a minor. It's only made worse once we find out that he's painted nude portraits of her from this time in her life. Gross. Seriously. Anyways, there is a lot of unnecessary angst about her being off limits because he's bestfriends with her brother but the brother couldn't care less. Pointless angst. Troy's obsession with Venus is overwhelming everytime you have to read from his POV. Every thing she does turns him on and it just gets so redundant. Throw in a completely illogical wrap up to the threat Venus has been facing the whole book and it's a hard pass from me. Nothing really makes sense in this book. I mean, a character commits attempted murder with several witnesses and is let off with a warning. Seriously. Check out some other books by this author but stay away from this...

Great Read
Nia as usual you don't disappoint. This story of Venus a and Troy was really enjoyed by me. I!I'm really liking this series. Imagine having the biggest crush on someone who grew up being a part of your family life. But he's older and?old best bids with your brother and your mom sees him as another son. But you don't see him as a brother but something else that you know will never be? What if he feels something for you too but if course he would never cross that line because of who you are and he wouldn't want to ruin the good relationship he has with you or your family. But what if one day years later you both realize that you both had feelings for each other and never really knew it? Well people grow up and feelings are still there just tucked away waiting for the right moment to present themselves. And perhaps this time you're not afraid to act on them and see if they're mutual. I enjoyed reading about these two hope you do too! Now on to the next one. Thanks for sharing!

Falling for Her Brother's Best Friend.
Venus was such a memorable & funny character in Book 1 so I am glad so got her own story. Behind the humour & more you really get to see the real her. Of course, I can't forgot about Troy. What I liked is how Venus falling for the family friend & older brother's is handled. It didn't seem cheesy to me. Also, of course what's a good romance without some drama & mystery. I won't spoil it,but I definitely had my theories. Looking forward to continuing the series in Book 3.

This story gets more complicated as you turn the pages with some new characters as well as some from book one. You will enjoy the book and the journey.
This book is for mature reader's due to its sexual content.

Enjoyable
This is a sweet story! One that you can really enjoy it has awesome characters, with great chemistry. The story is full of excitement and sizzling hot passion! I especially enjoyed the part that brings a smile to your face. The relationship between friends is great but the one thing problem I had is that I wish there was more to the ending all though I enjoyed every moment spent on their relationship even the drama because it was a delight and exciting. But this is a great romance which l enjoyed.

The heroine it’s not a good character
I really like book one of course I gave book two a try.
I like every single character in this book except for Venus. She is selfish she is a spoiled child. I found that I could not read a whole chapter without having to skip ahead because she annoyed me so much. I will try to book 3 and if it sucks just as bad I’m gonna give up on this series

My so!e complaint with this author is her editing. I've noticed across several of her books that she has typos, she uses the wrong name of characters, and also uses the wrong word or verb tense. The mistakes never take away from the stories, it's just that I'm a stickler when it comes to editing. If I like a book, I will read it over and over again. I don't understand why authors don't do the same.

I don't like the "aww shucks" jokes about survivors of abuse coping with food and becoming fat. It's a legitimate coping mechanism and it shouldn't be scoffed at.
The rest of the book is honestly just okay. For all the tension that's built between these two characters, there's no on-page payoff.

Two Down!!!
Wow book two down. I was very wowed with this one. V and Troy finally let it all out. Who cares about a age difference I don’t they didn’t. I love how this book goes back and includes the couples from the first story. I can’t wait to read book 3 in the series. I want to see if Ina gets her on book. I will keep my fingers cross.

Simple Romance
I enjoy that Nia Arthur's books are romantic without being sexually explicit.
I didn't know these were a series of books . I started reading "Be My Wife" & found out that was book #6. So now I purchased the entire series & I am reading them in order & enjoying them.

The second novel in the Make It Marriage series is even better than the first. I loved Troy and Venus and how their relationship developed. It was a slow build with lots of sexual tension that was very satisfying. The secondary story was an interesting twist that added some mystery to the novel. Definitely one of my new favorites.

This book is the second in the make it marriage series and it was just as adorable as the first book. The characters are engaging, the plot is cute with a surprise thrown in and the romance is sweet and hot. Laughed out loud and felt my heart swoon. This was a super fun read.

When 80% of the

Good story
A good story but the length of time and avoidance of each other was excessive. Troy moving and staying out the country because of his attraction was too much.

Loved it!
Read 3/6/2020 rated 5 out of 5 stars. Loved it. Very tricky dealing with child molestation, but it didnt go too deeply. Cant wait to read the others in the series
