Now that she has passed away, what will happen next? She didn't deserve to die, therefore hopefully the story will take some unexpected turns. It is very addictive.
I'm reading Pumpkin Night because I loved how gore and grotesque Killing Morph was (It got cancelled). The story did improved comparing the other volumes, and Hokazono has amazing death scenes they are the best I've seen.

I feel like i cannot continue reading this series. The gore did not bother me, if anything i enjoyed the storyline. I think the manga itself was interesting but it was really hard to get through. I don’t know if its just the translations but the dialogue was so cringey. The constant use of “bruv” “thot” and the unnecessary use of the n word and r slur really bothered me. The writing (at least in the English translation) made me feel like i was reading a manga made by a 12 yo tiktok obsessed wattpad writer.
Naoko was tortured by her sadistic peers for years just because she was eccentric and stood out from the crowd. After escaping from a mental institution that she was locked inside after being driven mad by the cruelty she endured, she's out to slaughter the ones who disfigured her and the ones who stood by and watched. Wearing a pumpkin mask like she did on the night she endured the ultimate torture during a Halloween Prom, she sows fear and terror everywhere she goes.
This manga is completely illogical, full of plot holes and over the top as all hell, yet it's extremely fun. It channels the chaotic energy of extreme 80's horror slasher movies with bad guys exploding with blood and getting chopped up left and right in the most gruesome, bizarre and oddly creative ways a person could imagine. It's also extremely satisfying to see the severely bullied protagonist get her revenge against the evil psychos that tortured and abused her. She's like Carrie, Harley Quinn and Jason Vorhees rolled into one. Even though she does some morally questionable things, it's hard not to root for her when you unravel the types of things she's been through.

Summary (for the whole manga): A person with a pumpkin head mask is going on a rampage, killing many people while avenging herself. Naoko Kirino has been severely bullied and abused during her days in junior high school, which later has resulted her to be admitted into a psych ward. One day, she finally escapes, with the aim of getting back at her bullies.
Review: A manga with a lot of gore and violence and blood. The story started to seem interesting, but then, it just seems like the mangaka has not given it much thought.
This volume touches on forgiveness and manipulation, government hands and love. I found the love part of this to be really weird though, then again these ARE high school kids.
How people can beg you for forgiveness and not even mean it. How your sympathy shouldn't be so thin for people when they can't prove their change or remorse.
There's humor glittered around, I like that it's horrific but makes me giggle once in a while.
I have binge read the entire manga in one night and I really love and enjoyed it. the entire time reading I was like oh my that's so brutal and different, like the way she dealt with the thot had me like that so savage. I am so looking forward to the next volume and chapters.
okay hold on what the fuck is doing donald trump in this manga and two why did naoko die like idk isn't the whole point of this manga her revenge like how can the main protagonist die this early what kind of trash– ugh I'm so mad I really wanted to see her taking her revenge
