Elspeth was born in the 80's to Anglo-Scottish parents.
Elspeth graduated from the Open University in 2014 with a BA Open that covered history, languages and creative writing.
In addition to writing children's books Elspeth is working with the Nynorn project to help revive Scotland's most endangered language Norn.
Elspeth has written a series of workbooks covering the basics of Norn grammar and has also translated a number of the ever popular bilingual children's books by Philipp Winterberg into Norn.
After losing her hearing in 2009 Elspeth learnt Sign Language and enjoys writing poetry in both English and Sign Supported English.
