They’ll protect what’s theirs—or die trying.

The McDonald clan have learned their lessons the hard way these last months. Shane and Jodi finally realize they must keep their reunited family close and protect their own above all others to survive in this new post-apocalyptic reality. The repairs on the home are complete, solar panels installed, and the now operational pump means they won’t have to continue collecting rainwater for the foreseeable future.

But it’s no longer just outsiders wreaking havoc on the small Georgia town, as unprepared townsfolk learn of their hard-earned stores—and threaten to take their prepper supplies by force.

To stem the mayor’s confiscation plans and keep the angry hordes at bay, the McDonalds’ blind teenaged daughter spearheads a community garden project to teach the citizens how to survive the coming lean years. But word travels fast when there are too many hungry mouths to feed.

And the gang that has long menaced the McDonalds comes looking to exact their pound of flesh.

When loved ones get caught in the crossfire, Shane and company won’t hold back against an enemy that threatens to take everything they have left.

Or kill those they hold dear.

Grace Hamilton is the prepper pen-name for a bad-ass, survivalist momma-bear of four kids, and wife to a wonderful husband. After being stuck in a mountain cabin for six days following a flash flood, she decided she never wanted to feel so powerless or have to send her kids to bed hungry again. Now she lives the prepper lifestyle and knows that if SHTF or TEOTWAWKI happens, she’ll be ready to help protect and provide for her family.

Combine this survivalist mentality with a vivid imagination (as well as a slightly unhealthy day dreaming habit) and you get a prepper fiction author. Grace spends her days thinking about the worst possible survival situations that a person could be thrown into, then throwing her characters into these nightmares while trying to figure out "What SHOULD you do in this situation?"

It’s her wish that through her characters, you will get to experience what life will be like and essentially learn from their mistakes and experiences.

Wow! Action packed final book in an amazing trilogy! Loved it.

FULL REVIEW
After the cliff-hanger-esque ending of Fallen World I was super eager to read this one. The cover fits really well with the previous two books in this series. I would say the cover is a scene from the book though it could be Shane & Jodi or maybe a scene from later in the book and be Owen & Amelia on guard duty together. The genres listed for this book and series are Sci-Fi & Post-Apocalyptic which fit the book well. I have seen posts where people ask for specific types of Post-Apocalyptic scenarios, so for anyone wanting information of type of Apocalyptic event, it is some sort of coronal mass ejection which has taken out all power, so no electric along with the consequences of that along with the vast majority of vehicles being useless unless you have an older model vehicle often referred to as a gas guzzler.

This book picks up the story as things were left in Fallen World. It begins with Jodi being frustrated but pushing herself to do the exercises that Dr Yates had given her to help rehabilitate her injuries. Also still nursing a slowly healing injury is Violet, who is still frustrated about people thinking she has no valuable input into working out problems and been looked upon as defenceless. Well she certainly proved she was most certainly not defenceless and when it came to it ended up having the necessary skills to shoot someone to defend herself and younger sister when needed.

Pike the surviving member of the biker crew that had followed Sheriff James & Shane when they rescued Jodi is still under arrest and moaning loudly and regularly about what he sees, as mistreatment, not being able to make his phone call or have access to a lawyer and trial. The Sheriff reasons with Pike saying no phones are working, he doubts and lawyers are either and honestly Pike is probably in a better position being in the Police Station cells as it means Sheriff James has to give Pike food on a daily basis!

The community meetings continue regularly and more and more residents along with people new to the area attend them. After more and more problems at the few stores that have stock remaining, the Mayor commandeers the food and takes it to a central location to be distributed equally throughout the community.

Pike still holds a grudge against the McDonalds particularly Violet and when the opportunity arises, he contacts the rest of his gang informing them of the whereabouts of the community as well as attempting to exact some revenge of his own whilst he awaits the arrival of Trent, the head of the gang along with the rest of the biker gang.

Beth’s kindness towards her nosey neighbour certainly comes back to bite her and cause danger to the whole McDonald clan when Nora stands up at a community meeting and declares that Beth is hoarding food and has enough to feed them all for a long time! A few locals latch onto this and the Mayor wanting to be a people pleaser proposes and takes a vote on all private supplies to be confiscated and then be re-distributed on some sort of ration system. Beth tries to explain all she has is food she has grown in her garden and even brings seeds to freely give to everyone to start their own vegetable plots.

Eventually after a lot of thought and planning Violet comes up with the idea of using an area in the park to grow food. Violet approaches the Mayor to be dismissed before even being able to explain her idea, it’s only when her mother intervenes that the Mayor takes the idea seriously and gives his permission. Those living in the tent city within the park eagerly volunteer to help. Volunteers also go around empty houses and places where medicines and first aid equipment when Dr Yates reveals he is rapidly running low on supplies. Sadly, it’s during one of these trips a character is killed by a few members of an advance searching party from the biker gang. Even with the problem of outsiders invading their community there are still troublemakers encouraged by the lies from Nora who seem to think anything and everything Beth has collected and bought over the years should be taken from her and shared with the whole community. When it becomes clear the community is turning against them with the Mayor at the helm the McDonald Clan have to make the difficult decision to prepare to fight and guard their food supply if necessary. Even the Sheriff cannot seem able to talk sense into the Mayor who seems to have become as hungry for power as his people are for food. The Sheriff hurls his badge on the stage at the Mayor during one of the meetings when he is accused of favouritism toward Beth and her family. The Mayor then calls for Mike McDonald to hand in his badge as in his opinion Mike cannot continue in the position basically because of who his family is.
However, the Mayor soon regrets his decision when the biker gang who Pike contacted arrive intent on looting and taking over the community. The Sheriff offers the advice of hiding and being prepared to fight the bikers. Will anyone survive the impending threat of the biker gang. Unfortunately, two members of the McDonalds Clan decide to do a bit of snooping to try to find how many bikers are congregating at the park, ready to attack and one ends up being caught! The fighting begins at the school where people have chosen to hide and perhaps make a last stand but eventually ends up at Beth’s house, who will be injured this time? Will the McDonalds clan manage to keep a hold of the house and supplies they have?

I really adored Beth as a character, she was willing to help anyone that asked, so much so she gave food as an act of kindness to her rather nosey neighbour Nora. Nora eagerly took the food and kept quiet about it whilst at the same time kept popping her head over the McDonald Clan erected fence to see what they were doing and continually complaining of lack of food etc. Beth knowing full well she didn’t have enough supplies to keep freely handing out offered Nora seeds to grow her own food, even volunteering to help her get started and teach her to care for the plants but Nora takes offence as she clearly doesn’t want to work for her food. Then Nora betrays her friend Beth my claiming to have seen packed shelves and cupboards brimming with food, implying Beth is greedily hoarding for herself and her family. Despite all of this Beth still runs to Nora’s aid when she is called upon to give possible medical attention to Nora’s partner. Beth arranges for someone to come for Nora’s partner and encourages Nora to get herself something to eat, even offering to prepare it. It is then that Beth discovers it is her neighbour Nora that has a cupboard full of food and tins. When Beth asks Nora about it, the answer she receives is senseless, as Nora claims she is saving it for if she needs it in the future!

There’s so much going on in this final book, budding romances, such as Beth & Sheriff James Cooley who ends up moving in to the house and her room with her. There are also fledgling romances amongst the younger members of the McDonalds Clan along with an unplanned pregnancy that needs confirming. Then there are injuries and illnesses that before the coronal mass election would have been so simple to treat with tablets and the plentiful, regularly, restocked medical supplies. Even Dr Yates has to admit he may need to look into what he would normally have called old fashioned remedies and herbal therapies. Of course, there are deaths in this book too, some deserved when you take into account the awful things they have done as well as some quite good characters losing their lives too in their bid to survive attacks from others.

I did like the epilogue at the end of the book, it served as a final goodbye to the characters I had become attached to and cared about. A little glimpse into future possibilities for the characters and the community as a whole.

I have honestly really enjoyed this series, I was a tiny bit worried at the very beginning of this book as the pace felt a little slower, something felt different but I was soon pulled in and happily engulfed back into the plot.

My immediate thoughts upon finishing this book were wow! What a fantastic book and great series end! But what on earth am I going to look forward to now as this book is the last in this series?

This book is so realistic, the way the community has so many different people. Those who try to help themselves, plan ahead and help others. Then there were those who wanted to turn up to someone and be given what they needed for nothing in exchange, they didn’t want to put any effort in. There are so many different, yet believable characters. The Mayor who seems to enjoy the extra power and importance the coronal mass election has given him. He enjoys the attention and the power to hold a vote, to appear to always agree with the majority vote. He seems to forget or discount what those on the opposing side to his opinion/vote have and do in the community. He see’s Violet & Amelia as two kids who aren’t worth his time and trouble, yet their idea is great and well thought out, which he would have realised if he had listened to them for a minute. Then there’s Sheriff James Cooley who stays impartial, true to his job role and continues to attempt to keep order in the community, to be fair by everyone even those committing offenses such as burglary and violence. However even his almost never ending, supply of patience is tested and he has to make some pretty difficult decision. When it seems the greedy, small minded in the community intend to take Beth & her families food supplies to re-distribute rather than work together to provide for all he comes to the decision he can no longer perform his duty as Sheriff. He feels his place is at the side of the women he loves and her family whom he has also grown to love and be part of. Yet even then when called on for advice and help he still tries to do his best by everyone.

To sum up if you haven’t read this series, you really need to. In my opinion it’s a must-read series!

Now what am I going to read? I’m certainly in the mood for some more brilliant post-apocalyptic stories.

New World – Grace Hamilton

I was provided with a copy of this book in order to provide a review.

“New World” is the third book in this series by Grace Hamilton. I have read the first book “Crumbling World” but as yet haven’t read the second book “Fallen World”. Though it wasn’t hard to follow what had happened in between the first and third books.

“New World” is a third and final book in a prepper, end of world fiction story that follows a family and the individual journeys of each family member as they struggle to survive in a world that is the same but completely different.

Shane and Jodi’s family has managed to survive the initial days and months since the EMP knocked out all the power and practically shut down the modern world. Forcing people to survive on what little they have stored away, if they were lucky enough to have anything stored away, or live off the land.

They were able to make it to Beth’s house, Jodi’s mothers, relatively safely though a bit rough and beaten up around the edges. Having survived the madness that has overcome some people and the violence of criminals and gangs. But now the family faces a new threat, their fellow townspeople.

Convinced that Beth and the family have a food store large enough to feed the whole town, they slowly start turning on the family. Threatening to come into their home and see for themselves.

They try and encourage the townsfolk to fend for themselves, save seeds and grow a community garden with everyone who is willing to put in the work, able to get their fair share. However, people are hungry and starving, fruits and vegetables take too long to grow when you sitting there starving.

Just as soon as that threat, beings to boil a new one, a worse one, literally rides into the town; the criminal biker gang the family has unfortunately had a run in with. They are eager for their revenge.

Will the family survive; will the town band together in time to overcome this bigger threat for the good of the whole time?

“New World” is an interesting and eye-opening take on the cruel side of humanity, what we are really capable of when forced to survive on our baser instincts. But it also shows us what we can achieve when we stop thinking just about ourselves and band together as a community should. Given the current climate and what is happening right now its an important message we would do well to remember. So please next time you see your neighbour or a fellow community member in need, think of what you can do to help; how would you want to be treated if you were in that situation, not what you could gain from it.

This is the last book in the Surviving the End series and sees the action being ramped up for the McDonald family as the small community starts to turn against them and Beth, Jodi’s mother, who they accuse of stockpiling supplies whilst others are starving and near death. Months have passed and weekly community meeting held by Frank the Mayor are places for angers to rise and revenge against those more prepared than others. Tempers are fraying and animalistic reactions and behaviours are coming to the forefront. People are desperate and will do almost anything to survive.

Shane McDonald and his family have come to realise that there are many in their community that are keeping a close eye on them, including the old lady from next door, Nora, and others such as Ryan an veteran, with a loud voice and seemingly on the Mayor’s side. The family have learnt from hard lessons learnt in the past few months that they need to protect what is theirs, no matter what, and do everything they need to, or die trying to survive and keep their family safe!

Ryan and the mayor are making plans for the confiscation of all individual’s food supplies, to supposedly use as a community food supply, but the vote is so far going against forced action. That is, until people reach breaking point. Now they are under threat by the very people in their own community and must now decide whether to fight or give up their well fought for supplies and their own family’s survival. The community garden plan suggested by Violet, the blind teenage daughter of Shane and Jodi, has finally been allowed to get off the ground, but will need to be expanded to a much bigger size to enable everyone to be fed. The Mayor is the only hurdle to that so far.

Everyone in the community, including those non-locals from the tent city, need to learn how to grow their own food, hunt for meat and simply make a proper contribution to their own survival. Far too many people are just expecting others to feed them. Others problems come when the gang that took Jodi, come for vengeance and their missing biker, who escaped from prison. They will kill anyone in their path and get their vengeance. Some of those in the tent city managed to escape from the terror they caused in the city, using their numbers and huge amount of weapons to force people to do as they said, or killed and maimed them if they refused.

Now this motorcycle gang are heading for the small community and there are not enough trained and armed people to help defend the town. Looks like the McDonald family are going to be pretty much on their own trying to defend what is theirs. Just when they had finally got all their ducks in a row and now had a working water pump, solar panels for power and even security fencing all around Beth’s home, danger is coming to split apart their family once again and place them all in danger. Everyone is now in danger and whether they will all survive, is going to be up to luck and God.

This is a great finale to the series and has loads of elements included in the storyline. Basic survival skills are needed by the common man and some refuse to take part, expecting stuff to be handed to them, simply because they can’t accept that the world around them has changed, possibly for ever. The series demonstrates how quickly the civilized world can fall apart, as most of us are far removed from where our food comes from, or even how to manage without modern day technology or power. A fantastic set of books and this was the perfect ending. An author to definitely follow and read. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Enjoyable story, facts not researched

I enjoyed these books but found the optimistic end unrealistic, just based on food issues. I knew she was not a gardener when she mentioned potato seeds. Only breeders grow potatoes from seed; they are grown from cut up potatoes. More important, if potatoes are your only starch, you will have to grow a huge amount of potatoes. Maybe they ground cornmeal from dry corn, but again, you are talking about huge fields of corn. There is nothing in the story about growing grains. Vegetables and meat from hunting will not sustain a stationary population. The surrounding area will soon be devoid of edible wildlife. Are there chickens? cows? Oxen or horses for plowing? Anyone who can make a plow to be drawn by animals? An ox yoke? Harnesses? Subsistence agriculture requires dawn to dusk work from everyone from little children to old people. It also involves myriad skills which few of us have.
What happens when their clothes wear out? Will they grow cotton, spin, and weave? Raise sheep, and, likewise. Do they have sheep or cotton seeds? Then there are the issues of clean water and sanitation. If a community got all of that worked out, it would take years, and meanwhile there would be more than the one motorcycle gang coming to take it. Does anyone know how to reload used cartridges? Make gunpowder? I know this is fiction, but the early happy ending just went beyond my ability to suspend disbelief. I garden and raise chickens and know how much work it is and how many ways there are to fail and how much one has to know. The whole story has a lack of depth which leaves me unsatisfied. I may be asking more of the genre than it can bear, but I think it can bear a bit more than we find here.

New World is the third book in the Surviving the End series by Grace Hamilton. New World picks up where book two, Fallen World left off. Shane and James found Jodi after she wrecked her bike and brought her home. Jodi is healing from a gunshot in one arm and breaking the other after she wrecked her bike.

Pike, a member of the bike gang that took Jodi is still locked up in a jail cell. But he manages to escape. He goes looking for Violet. He wants her to pay for what she did. Pike finds Violet at the park.

Violet came up with a really good idea to help feed all the people living in tents in the park. Violet thought it would be a good idea to plant a garden in the park. Surprisingly many people who live there volunteered to help tend the garden.

The townspeople still want to take food from people’s homes instead of planting a garden for themselves. They would rather take from others than do any work. They just want to sit around doing nothing while taking what they want.

The very thing that Beth, Shane, Jodi, and James have been trying to avoid may be on its way. They may need to get ready for a fight for their lives.

New World kept me on the edge of my seat not able to take my eyes off the pages. As I have said before I love the Surviving the End series. I love the world that was created for it. I can’t wait to read more from this series. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I highly recommend New World to all post-apocalyptic fans! Grab a copy of New World today!

This final book in the "Surviving the End" series picks up where Book 2 ended. The McDonald clan is just trying to survive in the new world after the EMP. However, some people in their town want to take what Beth has worked hard to build up for many years. Is it fair for one person/family to have prepared for an EOTW scenario and not share it?

The mayor is being pushed to start a confiscation of foods from everyone in the town, then have a redistribution to everybody. However, Beth and her clan won't go down without a fight.

Then, the biker gang that has been terrorizing the area shows up and a full scale war is on. Will the McDonalds and their neighbors be able to protect what they have? Or, will evil win out? There is plenty of action and conflict in this book and enough uncertainty to make it more enjoyable.

This series is well-written, with great characters with normal human problems. You have a teenager who is blind, a young man who has lost his mother to violence, a recovering cancer patient, a woman having heart problems, and young love.

If you enjoy post-apocalyptic books, this is a good series. The narrator did a wonderful job and his performance adds a lot to this book. I was given a chance to listen to this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

This audiobook is very consistent and is what I believe to be, a fitting end to the series. It picks up right where booked 2 left off and it’s a little slow to get started but all the usual suspects pay us a visit during this one. Our main characters are thrown into many different situations and it kept me very engaged throughout the entire book. I think I would’ve liked things to be a little bit more difficult on our main characters but overall, it was a pretty good series. They all definitely came along way and had to overcome a lot. The narration was quite good and consistent with the first couple of books in the series. The male and female voices are great and you can always tell if a different character is speaking. I think the only thing that I would’ve changed was making things a little bit tougher and everything not wrapping up so nice and neat. I don’t believe there’s room for a spin off or a fourth book. I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review from audiobook Boom. This in no way affected my opinion of this work

New World is an excellent conclusion to the Surviving the End trilogy. The McDonalds, dogs included, have faced many challenges, unpredictability, and danger while stepping out of their comfort zones. Many lessons have been learned, mainly that family comes before anything, especially in a post-apocalyptic world. Grace Hamilton has done a brilliant job with the character development, the dynamics between them, and the dialog. The storyline is engaging and enjoyable. The family is working towards their future survival, strengthening their security, and building a home in an uncertain world. The ending was terrific, I'm glad that I had the chance to listen to this audiobook.

The narration by Chris Monteiro is excellent; his reading is well-paced, and characters are well-portrayed. Overall, this was an entertaining post-apocalyptic series, and definitely worth the listen. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I have to say that if book 1 and book 2 are as good as book 3 then I'll have to go back and start at the beginning. The towns people are starving most of the people want handouts.
Ryan and his group do nothing but complain about not having anything to eat but don't want to put any time into growing food or hunting food. If that's how the end of the world is going to be we better start stockpiling food now. It got really rough for the McDonald family. Fighting off biker gangs, building fences, learning to hunt, learning to shoot and growing whatever they can to eat. Now they have to wait for another gang to make it to town to loot, kill and take what they want. This was such a good book that I finished reading it at 3:00 am. Start with the first book though, it will mean more. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good book especially for the times we are in right now. Makes you really think.

I very much enjoyed reading this book and I am glad the series ended well. I would recommend it to anyone, the whole series. I think it would be great if people who did not fully understand persons with disabilities read it. In this unfolding chaos that we live in we with disabilities are especially stressed out for we wonder how would we survive should even more chaos breakout such as anEMP or a CME. We wonder how could we contribute in such a world or who would even let us try to contribute. This book addresses such things and I love grace for approaching the subject. I look at her as if she were like a sister to my heart. Thank you so much grace.

Great Series

I’ve just finished this three book series written by Grace Hamilton. Beginning in Fallen World the McDonald Family is separated by hundreds of miles the day the world crashes due to a massive solar flare incident. The quest is to reach the grandmothers home near Macon Georgia where the matriarch has the space and provisions to see them all through these troubling days and the many more to come. Continuing on in Crumbling World the family soon realizes that their troubles are far from over after arriving at Grandma’s safe haven. In this the final book in the series, New World, the accumulation of festering attitudes in the community and retaliation from a biker gang threatens to but an end to a family that has come so far to survive.

The McDonald family finally assembles at Mom’s house in Macon. Thinking the worst is over and they can relax a bit now that they’re all together. Unfortunately, we know it doesn’t work like that. Once the supermarket shelves run dry it only a matter of time before Mr. Greed rears his ugly head. Mom being a long-time prepper, she’s about to have many fingers pointed at her. There’s also a motorcycle gang making its rounds through the small towns. Lots to do and plenty of action before it’s all over. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Amazing series, as is to be expected by Grace Hamilton. Chris Monterio did a great job narrating.
The characters are always fleshed out. You can relate to them. They aren’t perfect but no human ever is.
Corbin was my favorite character. Of course Beth was a close second. They were the smartest and most prepared. One mentally and one with Preps.
I loved Violet too, her strength of character brought on by determination to overcome her blindness. She was a great character. Smart, strong and competent. Loved her.

Intent on Change

The townspeople are under pressure from within. Some wanting control of food, others wanting to be in control.
More chaos and death is ahead. Survival will require improvising and adaptation. Will thoughtful cooperation prevail, or will factions, violence and mayhem?
Interesting storyline in these three brief books. By keeping the focus on the main family, and ultimately this tiny town, a lot of information and potential storyline had to be rejected. And that very focus is the heart of improvising, adapting and ultimately surviving.

New World. Grace Hamilton

The final book in this excellent series. People are dependent on others to fulfill there needs. The government, city officials. What this book illustrates is the coming together of a community to survive. The Path was littered with obstacles. People pointing the finger at everyone else. Seemingly unable to realize there own shortcomings. In the end the community in this small town triumphs, even though the power from the EMP has not been restored. An excellent story of survival!!! My highest recommendation!!

Great Story & Fascinating Action

Interesting characters along with realistic storylines make 'Surviving the End' a great read. I have read the first three books in almost record time as it became increasingly difficult to put the books down. Ms. Hamilton has created well developed protagonists who you want to root for and hope that they survive. There are also underlying lessons in Preparedness that are well-worth noting and following through with your own families and immediate communities.

Wow, the final of this series, New World, is a most exciting read. Right up to the finish there are troubles, struggles and battles. Shane, Jodi and their family have to fight on more than one front as order decays. This is a fine example of life after an apocalypse, both the good and the bad, and how deprivation can affect even the best of people. Relationships and characters are so very real. This is a must read!

The world has changed...people have adapted in good ways and bad. this family and fiends has grown and changed over the course of time and are ready to face whatever is thrown at them. You have to read this trilogy in order, no jumping into it at the end, each book build perfectly on the previous.

A fitting end to a very good series.

Shane and Jodi struggled to get to Jodi's mothers home after the world fell apart, but had to struggle to get there. Neither was really prepared to meet the challenge, but Beth (Jodi's mother) was. Along the way, they picked up Corbin, who seemed at first to be an unknown, but turned out to be a diamond in the rough. The characters are well developed, and believable. An enjoyable series.

They have learnt hard lessons over the last few months and things are looking up at their home. They now have power and a water supply, their cupboards are full but others were not so ready. When they learn of what they have, they will use violence to get it. Can they keep their supplies? Can they keep the family safe? See how they will get on

As a fan of this genre I am not disappointed. It was less in described violence as many others. Characters were easy to love or hate. The book certainly paints actual actions that very well could happen in time of breakdown of our everyday norms, just imagine loss of all electronics, automobiles and how in a matter of a few days it is impossible to get medicine refills, food…etc. what a great way everything runs pretty smoothly, we go about never realizing just how well…then it all halts.

Book Review:
“New World: A Post-Apocalyptic CME Saga Filled With Fascinating Characters & Prepper Info (Surviving the End Book 3)” Kindle Edition
by Grace Hamilton (Author) Format: Kindle Edition
This entertaining novel illustrates the truth of the proverb, viz., where there is a will, there is a way. Everyone from a blind teenage girl to the elderly adults played an important role in surviving. Highly recommended!

Continuing on my binge listen of this series - it just gets better and better, but it does need to be read/listened to as part of the series it wouldn't work as a standalone in my opinion.

I like the way this author writes this genre the violence works it is not in your face or unnecessary and fits in with the story. The 'universe' feels right and relatable.
The narrator makes it easy to listen to and brings the book to life

I enjoyed this series, it had a different twist to it. Having a blind daughter would make things more scary for the family. I liked how the series was wrapped up and you weren't left hanging, I would recommend reading this series.

Enjoyed the series listened to book 2 and 3 in one night. I'm glad I'm retired and had nothing going on the next morning. That should tell you how good the series is. Not that I couldn't fall to sleep so I stayed up with the books. I have read and listened to other books of Grace Hamilton and enjoyed her writing.

I've read several books written by Grace Hamilton; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Five stars

I could not put this series down. It was so real like so like I was right there. I enjoyed this series so much I am going to read another series by Ms. Grace Hamilton. I am an avid reader and love all kinds of books but lately it's been hard to find something that was not the sameosameo. I hope to be reading about the younger generation in this book eventually.
