“Until My Dying Day” signals the epic battle between Casey and the Shinigami. F all of the battles this is the one that has plagued Casey since she was twelve years old. It is the nightmare she has seen over and over foretold. Now it is up to her to hopefully change the outcome she saw in her visions.

Even though the dust has settled and she and Sanders have been taken off the FBI’s most wanted list, Casey has a vision and time has run out. She must harness as much support as she can and that means reconnecting with her old friends at the ninth precinct. They are all glad to see her and agree to help in the war with the Shinigami but what they hadn’t anticipated was having to deal with an attack from the Night Crew. They want Casey’s head on a stick for destroying their drugs and taking their money.

It will be one battle after another for Casey and not everyone will survive but one thing for sure she is not going down without a fight. I have very mixed feelings about this series. I loved the characters of Casey, Bishop, Vida and Aanswrs but the problem is there wasn’t enough interaction with the supporting cast. This series is all about action and battles but no balance. Where are the forensicsCasey is a coroner after all)? Where are Casey’s personal relationships and ties. We know of her parents, sister and nephew but we get little to no interaction with them. There is no doubt in my mind that S. C. Stokes knows how to write action scenes but can this author write about love? I don’t have the answer to this question. However, I have decided not to go on with this series. It just doesn’t hit all of the buttons I look for in a series. As always. Read it for yourself and decide.

Book 6

The count down begins.
In another dream Kasey sees the time of detonation and they don't have much of that left. Scrounging up other precinct Police and even Hades, they seem woefully outnumbered. Not only are they battling the demon of death, but the drug gang wants their money back!
Great booknI really loved it! Kick ass Kasey indeed!m

Great Paranormal

I enjoyed the action packed conclusion to the plot by the shinigami. Kasey and most of her allies managed to thwart the plan to destroy New York and defeat the master. Can’t wait to see what Kasey gets up to in her next adventure.

Good but different

A good book, different from the rest as this is a finale and it’s a type of chase scene throughout. We finish the story here with nonstop action.

Samuel Stokes Conjuring a Coroner Series Bk 6 Until My Dying Day Reviewed 8/21/19
The end is almost here but she is almost out of time!!!!

Since Kasey was 12, she has had one vision that has her worried, she knows the deadly plot and what is going to happen but can she get to the device and disarm it in time to save NEW YORK CITY and all those she loves. She has fought a hard battle and wants to end this nightmare. Working with her team from the Arcane Council and must convince her coworkers of NYPD to help her try to overcome the ancient necromancer Akihiro before he arms it and causes the tsunami and the annihilation of NYC.

What did I like? I have followed Kasey through all her books and am so sad that this is the last book in the series. Kasey has fought and won so many battles putting her life at stake so many times and this is her final battle. She has teamed up with the Arcane Chancellor Sanders after they proved that he was not a murder to put the Shinigamis out of business.

What will you like? Unbelievable action like none of the previous books. Breathtaking characters, spectacular writing, and an astounding ending. This has been one of the best series with the most astounding and mind-blowing cast of characters that I have read in a long time. I will miss Kasey and all the remarkable battles that she has fought. If you have not read the series, I highly recommend it. After everything that Kasey has gone through, our author still has one more surprise for us that will be a mind-blowing ending to this series. I received this from the publisher in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. All opinions expressed are my own and not edited by anyone but me.

First of all I would like to thank S. T. Stokes for the ability to read this book early as a reviewer.
Wow a great way to finish this series for those that were able to get a hold of this book. It is full of exciting scenes hoping from one to the next and have a conclusion making a reader satisfied all has been fixed and will be well.
Once again New York is the backdrop of our story Kasey’s home she has been working for the NYPD investing murders for the 9th precinct to a fugitive to head of the team to break the crime ring and kingpin who is trying to take out and destroy the city. We are brought on quite a roller coaster while following this woman’s story.
Born of magic, but having a special rare gift made her not fit in with her own kind she went a different direction into the world of normal however by the finish of the story she not only was excepted, but was offered a brand new job working with both.
There is quite a lot of violence so a bit disturbing for a young mind, but other than that it was a good book for young adult reading. Not to immature for us old folks righter. Had a lot of excitement brought into this conclusion where the witches and normals worked together to solve this crime. It was fictional fantasy which society touching on the tradition of stories throughout the fantasy realm but is you think it is to close to real witches be aware.
Sad the stories are finished with these characters. I did get to know them quite well. I recommend it for a good read.

Fabulous series

I've finished the whole series in a week as you will not out these down!! It's very rare you find an author who can write seamlessly through six books and get it right. I was hooked immediately. The heroine has faults and makes hard decisions....the author wasn't afraid to remove people and not make this a woman finds magic, woman finds love, all is well series which was a breath of fresh air for me. The characters are fleshed out and some of them especially Hades should have his own series !!! Fabulous read, entertaining and thought provoking....will be reading more of this author and is now on my favourite and follow list. If you enjoy a fierce heroine, a gripping storyline and don't want the standard perfect happy ending...this book is for you !!!

This was a magnificent finale to this outstanding magical series, a mix of witches and wizards mixed in a normal world . I loved every page.
Once again there was action ALL the way and I was routing for Kasey to save the day.
Such an adrenaline ride.
I can’t really do justice to this book except to say that I read this as soon as I could because I know that all of Sams books , especially Kasey in the Conjuring a Coroner, are such an easy and satisfying read. I couldn’t wait to immerse myself into the book.
It was an interesting combination of a police / detective thriller with the magical community living , undercover, with normal people.
I wholeheartedly recommend this.

Heart pounding, action packed, story has Kasey and gang trying to beat the clock in a race to thwart an explosion meant to level Manhattan, creating an earthquake and tsunami the likes of which none have ever seen or experienced before. As I was reading this book, I found myself holding my breath at times; and at other times, I found myself rocking so fast in my chair I nearly toppled over. Brace yourself when you read this story because it will knock your socks off. Exceptionally well written story by Samuel Stokes. I highly recommend reading the whole series. You won’t want to miss a thing.

As with all the books before it, Mr. Stokes has done it again. Dying Day keeps you on your fingertips the whole way thru.

Kasey finds herself at the end. The visions are now reality and she has to save herself, her friends, and her city from magical apocalypse. Not only the destruction of epic magnitude but the added complications that have come from "normals" seeing magic. She needs every helping hand she can get from hellraising magical underground, nonmagical friends (hopefully) and the rallying ADI.... Can she change her future or was the vision destined to be....

After reading all six books, I have to say I enjoyed this one the most. I think it’s because it’s the conclusion of the story that was so well written. The main character Kasey, finally brings it to a close. You must read this final book to get to the exciting fast paced finish!
